Abstract

Indonesia's geographical conditions and position are very favorable and various policies from the government from 2005 until now are expected to become the shipyard industry to become a tough industry, but in reality it is still not as expected. The condition of the domestic shipyard industry in 2017 until now there is only ship repair and maintenance work, while orders for new ships or buildings are very few and even zero demand ship orders, causing business continuity in the shipyard industry to be disrupted and even out of business. This paper aims to develop a concept for the development of a multi-oriented shipyard industry that is environmentally friendly and sustainable. The preparation of this concept begins with identifying problems, collecting secondary data, reviewing related articles (shipyard industry, ship recycling yard industry, environment, sustainability, and supporting methods), analyzing and developing a development concept. The results obtained from drafting the concept are in the form of a diagrammatic model for the development of a multi-oriented shipyard industry that is environmentally friendly and sustainable. The development concept consists of (1) research background in the form of the existing conditions of the shipyard industry, ship recycling industry, geography, infrastructure, superstructure; (2) research that has been conducted in the form of relevant journal articles and proceedings; (3) research to be conducted in the form of sustainability criteria, orientation diversification and strategy selection; (4) implementation.

Abstract

Salt is an essential commodity for both domestic use and industrial applications, with East Java Province in Indonesia playing a crucial role in national salt production. Traditional salt production methods, primarily based on natural evaporation, face challenges due to seasonal factors, particularly during the rainy season. This study investigates the environmental conditions affecting the salt crystallization process in the Greenhouse Salt Tunnel (GST) technology. Field experiments were conducted at two sites, Tuban Regency on the North Coast and Malang Regency on the South Coast, where key parameters such as air temperature, water temperature, humidity, wind speed, and evaporation rates were monitored three times daily. The findings showed that water temperatures within the GST ranged from 31 to 38°C on the North Coast and 26 to 38°C on the South Coast. Wind speeds varied between 1.5–2.4 m/s on the North Coast and 0.4–1.0 m/s on the South Coast, while humidity levels ranged from 54 to 80%. The GST system achieved a salt production rate of 6.4 kg/m² with NaCl content exceeding 94%, a significant improvement over traditional methods, which yield less than 70% NaCl. These results demonstrate that GST technology enhances both the quality and quantity of salt production, though design modifications are needed to address the dynamic coastal environment.

Abstract

This research explores the correlation between microplastic abundance and water quality parameters in Sendang Biru Waters, Malang Regency, focusing on two sampling locations: TPI Kondang Buntung and TNI Naval Post. Water samples were collected and analyzed for microplastics using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) to identify various polymer types. Statistical methods, including Spearman's correlation and Kruskal-Wallis tests, were employed to assess the relationship between microplastic presence and water quality indicators such as pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), total suspended solids (TSS), and biological oxygen demand (BOD). The results show significant correlations between microplastic abundance and water quality parameters. The correlation coefficient for pH was -0.823 (p < 0.05), indicating an inverse relationship between microplastics and pH. For DO, the correlation coefficient was -0.612 (p < 0.05), suggesting that higher microplastic concentrations are associated with lower oxygen levels. TSS showed a correlation coefficient of 0.711 (p < 0.05), indicating a positive relationship. BOD revealed a coefficient of 0.794 (p < 0.05), suggesting higher microplastic abundance corresponds to greater organic pollution. The study highlights the impact of human activities, especially fishing and tourism, on microplastic pollution and its potential effects on marine ecosystems and human health. Additionally, the presence of microplastics in water bodies raises concerns about their role as carriers of toxic pollutants.

Abstract

This type of research uses a qualitative approach. This study aims to describe the types of implicatures and theoretical pedagogical implications in learning short story texts contained in Gita Wirjawan's YouTube channel. The data obtained in this study are 1) 24 utterances containing implicatures in conversations on Gita Wirjawan's YouTube channel, 2) pedagogical implications in implicatures on Gita Wirjawan's YouTube channel towards learning short story texts. The episode of the data obtained amounts to one episode with a duration of 1 hour 56 minutes 4 seconds, the selection of the video is based on the reference of this study which refers to learning, not only in terms of content but also in terms of storytelling that can be used as material for students to write so that it is relevant to this study. The data collection technique uses documentation in the form of transcripts recorded in conversations on Gita Wirjawan's YouTube that contain implicatures. The data analysis technique uses listening and note-taking techniques. The data validity technique uses data triangulation. The results of this study are in the form of (1) types of implicatures obtained in Gita Wirjawan's YouTube channel which consist of 3 conventional implicatures, 8 specific conversational implicatures, 5 general conversational implicatures, and 8 scale implicatures (2) the results of this study theoretically from a teaching perspective, conversational implicatures in Gita Wirjawan's podcast can help in the process of learning short story texts, because they can function as storytelling tools to create implied meanings, characters, and morals in dialogue.

Abstract

Personality coaching is coaching whose focus is on emphasizing the development of attitudes and personality. Personality development aims to help prisoners to recognize and develop themselves according to a healthy and correct life. Personality development is realized in forms such as fostering awareness in religion, fostering awareness of nation and state, intellectual development, and fostering legal awareness. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods, because the description is described in the form of qualitative data such as interviews. Sources of data collection information from interviews, observations and documents. This research focuses on narcotics case inmates. The results of this study regarding the coaching that is realized in the form of personality coaching and independence coaching programs. The initial door for the prisoner to return to the community / social reintegration by strengthening the personality development program and then implementing an independence program to support the prisoner after returning to the community

Abstract

Restorative justice is an alternative approach in the criminal justice system that focuses on recovering losses due to criminal acts, including corruption. This approach emphasizes the involvement of perpetrators, victims, and the community in finding fair solutions and prioritizing recovery for the impacts caused. This study discusses the role of restorative justice in dealing with corruption crimes by analyzing its effectiveness, challenges, and application in the legal system in Indonesia. With a juridical-normative method and a qualitative approach, this study finds that restorative justice can be an instrument that complements the retributive approach, especially in the recovery of state assets and the prevention of repeated corruption. However, its implementation faces obstacles in the form of regulations that are not comprehensive and resistance in the application of restorative justice for corrupt actors. This study emphasizes the importance of policies that support the application of restorative justice in corruption cases to increase the effectiveness of law enforcement and provide broader benefits to society and the state.
