Abstract

Extracurricular activities are a strategic instrument for holistically developing student potential, but their implementation in elementary schools is often not optimal. The purpose of this community service activity is to develop and strengthen extracurricular services based on student interests and talents at Mataram 24 Elementary School. This community service activity is carried out in three main stages, namely: (1) planning through observation, interest mapping, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD); (2) implementation of extracurricular programs; and (3) evaluation of activity results. There are three types of extracurricular activities facilitated by referring to the planning results, namely Tahfidz, Paskibra, and English Club. Community service activities show an increase in student participation and involvement. The Tahfidz extracurricular activity shows a significant contribution to Al-Quran literacy, Paskibra strengthens discipline and cooperation, while English Club can improve self-confidence and basic English communication skills. In addition to its direct impact on students, this activity also helps schools in systematically designing and managing extracurricular activities. The results of this activity also strengthen collaboration between universities and schools to revitalize the function of extracurricular activities as a vital tool for developing the character and potential of elementary school students. This program also has the potential to become a model for good practice in strengthening self-development services in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study addresses the "pedagogical digital gap" by proposing a shift from using technology for content delivery ("scanning") to cognitive support ("scaffolding"). It investigates the effectiveness of a QR-Code Integrated Inquiry model on pre-service primary teachers' critical thinking skills. Employing a quasi-experimental design with 60 participants, data were analyzed using ANCOVA. Findings revealed a highly significant difference () between groups. The experimental group achieved a notably higher adjusted mean (57.43) compared to the control group (34.88), with a massive effect size (). The intervention successfully reduced extraneous cognitive load, facilitating deep reasoning consistently across genders and science topics. The study concludes that re-engineering simple technology as scaffolding creates a robust, inclusive learning ecosystem for teacher education

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of integrating Maja Labo Dahu (MLD) honesty, self-control, and courage to report into Case-Based Learning (CBL) to strengthen political Awareness, anti-corruption intentions, and readiness to act among students, as well as to assess gender moderation and process mechanisms. An explanatory mixed-methods Design was employed through a quasi-experimental pre–post study with cluster randomization at the class level (CBL–MLD vs standard CBL). The BOPPPS–CBL syntax was enriched with SAO mapping, reason-giving, and dialogic role-play/World Café forums. T0–T1–T2 measurements were analyzed using ANCOVA and multilevel models, accompanied by process regression and qualitative triangulation. Results showed that the intervention outperformed the control group across all outcomes, with effects persisting at follow-up. Manipulation checks confirmed higher MLD internalization without differences in exposure time. Condition×gender interactions were detected: political awareness gains were relatively larger among males, while increases in anti-corruption intentions and readiness to act were more substantial among females. Process analysis identified value internalization as the primary driver of change, followed by equal participation and implementation fidelity. In conclusion, CBL–MLD is effective, replicable, and auditable, with curricular implications for standardizing value-based case drivers, reason-giving protocols, safe dialogic facilitation, and gender-sensitive strategies.

Abstract

Abstract

Insurance is one of the measures that can be used to prepare for various risks that can occur at any time. In the context of life insurance products, multiple life insurance is an efficient option because it is more economical than purchasing separate policies for two people with equivalent benefits. Unlike previous studies that focused on single life models using the GPV (Gross Premium Valuation) approach, this study develops an analysis of more complex multiple life insurance products, thereby providing a more representative picture of premium reserves for cases involving two insured parties. This study aims to formulate a mathematical model and conclude the results of prospective premium reserve calculations for last survivor whole life insurance using the GPV (Gross Premium Valuation) approach and De'Moivre's law De’Moivre This study uses a quantitative method with a documentation data collection technique, namely the 2019 Mortality Table IV data published by the Indonesian Life Insurance Association (AAJI). The results of this study show that the mathematical model of premium reserves for last survivor whole life insurance using the GPV (Gross Premium Valuation) approach and De'Moivre's law is ${_t}V^{GPV} = BA_{\bar{xy}} + U + PAG_{\bar{xy}} + A{\ddot{a}}_{\bar{xy}} + CA_{\bar{xy}} - G_{\bar{xy}}{\ddot{a}}_{\bar{xy}}$. However, when the insured ($y$) dies first, the mathematical model is ${_t}V^{GPV} = BA_{\bar{x}} + U + PAG_{\bar{xy}} + A{\ddot{a}}_{\bar{x}} + CA_{\bar{x}} - G_{\bar{xy}}{\ddot{a}}_{\bar{x}}$ while if the insured ($x$) dies first, the mathematical model is ${_t}V^{GPV} = BA_{\bar{y}} + U + PAG_{\bar{xy}} + A{\ddot{a}}_{\bar{y}} + CA_{\bar{y}} - G_{\bar{xy}}{\ddot{a}}_{\bar{y}}$. In addition, the results of the study show that there is a difference in the last survivor life insurance premium reserve between the conditions when both insured persons are still alive and when one of them dies, and that the use of De'Moivre's law results in a decreasing reserve pattern but ends up exceeding the promised benefits due to linear mortality assumptions so that the present value of the benefits does not fully decrease at the end of the coverage period. These findings indicate that the use of a uniform death distribution needs to be considered in order to produce more realistic premium reserves.
