Abstract

Learning media is a means to facilitate teachers in providing material, create enthusiastic and motivated students in accomplishment learning, therefore can be improve their abilities and skills in receiving the learning provided. The utilization of booklets as learning media creates interest in learning and a positive response. This study aims to find out the students' response to the booklet of butterfly pea plant (Clitoria ternatea L.) as a learning media. The instrument used was a questionnaire with three aspects of response, namely affective, cognitive, and conative which existed additional developed into 11 statements items. The average percentage obtained for each aspect of response, namely affective, cognitive, and conative response aspects, was 75,89%; 67,11%; 70,98% with the overall response having an average of 71,33%. It can be concluded that the booklet developed into learning media received a positive response from students

Abstract

In study of biology, explore the concepts rather than just memorise them is important. That's why use of media can make learning process more attractive and easy to understand for students. This study aimed to determine the feasibility of using breastfeeding and family planning sub-material pocket book media based on an inventory of breastfeeding-promoting plants in Pasti Jaya Village, Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan Province. The research and development process included identifying potential benefits and problems of media as a support for learning, gathering information on the plants, designing the product, and assessing the pocketbook with five validators. The pocket book was evaluated based on its presentation, content, and language, and the results showed that it's suitable for use as a learning tool. The validation results were then analyzed by Lawse calculations. The results showed that of the three aspects with twelve criteria, the validation content validity ratio value was 1.00 with a valid category. The average of all content validity index criteria obtained a value of 1.00 with a valid category, which shows that the breastfeeding and family planning sub-material pocketbooks are suitable for use as learning media

Abstract

Limbah bisa diolah menjadi sesuatu yang berguna dan memiliki nilai, salah satunya dengan mengubahnya menjadi media pembelajaran. Workshop ini bertujuan membangun kreativitas guru sekolah dasar dalam mengelola dan memanfaatkan limbah menjadi media pembelajaran yang menarik dan berguna dalam proses pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran tidak selalu berkaitan dengan sesuatu yang mahal dan modern, namun dapat dikembangkan secara sederhana dari limbah-limbah yang ada di lingkungan sekitar. Sasaran utama dari workshop ini yaitu guru sekolah dasar di SDN 21 Pontianak Utara. Pelaksanaan workshop ini melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu perancangan media pembelajaran, persiapan alat dan bahan, sosialisasi, dan workshop. Setelah penyampaian materi dari narasumber dan pemberian contoh media, dilanjutkan dengan sesi tanya jawab kemudian pembuatan media pembelajaran. Pada kegiatan ini, guru tampak antusias dan bersemangat dalam mengikuti tahapan pembuatan media pembelajaran yang dipandu oleh tim pelaksana. Media pembelajaran yang dihasilkan antara lain puzzle hewan, pohon ciri makhluk hidup, bangun datar, flashcard abjad, dan angka serta gambar.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and assess the feasibility of learning video media on the sub-topic of food substances based on the results of an inventory of medicinal plants that increase appetite in toddlers. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with reference to the Borg and Gall model which is limited to five stages, namely potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, and design revision. Media validation was carried out by five validators using a purposive sampling technique with assessments on aspects of format, content, language, and appearance. Validity analysis uses the Aiken's V formula, while reliability is explained using the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) method. The results of the study showed that the learning video media obtained an overall validity value of 0.92 with a valid category. The results of the reliability test showed a value of 0.733 with a moderate category. Based on these results, the learning video media on the sub-topic of food substances is declared suitable for use as a biology learning medium, although further testing is still needed to determine its effectiveness in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Biology learning encompasses complex material, thereby requiring engaging instructional media to enhance students’ understanding. The selection of interesting learning media can increase students’ interest and motivation in the classroom learning process. This study aims to determine the feasibility of a booklet as a learning medium for the reproductive system topic, based on the results of an inventory of traditional postpartum medicinal plants in Teluk Batang Selatan Village, Kayong Utara Regency, West Kalimantan. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Borg and Gall model, which was modified by Sugiyono. The process included five stages: identifying potential and problems, data collection, product design, product validation, and product revision. Data analysis was conducted using Aiken’s V validity index and the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) reliability test. The analysis results showed that the average Aiken’s V validity value was 0.94, categorized as very valid, covering the aspects of format (0.91), content (0.97), and language (0.93). The reliability test produced an ICC value of 0.727, categorized as moderate. Based on these results, the developed reproductive system booklet was declared valid, reliable, and feasible for use as a learning medium that integrates scientific concepts with the local wisdom values of the community.

Abstract

Learning is a continuous process involving teachers, students, materials, and the environment to achieve specific goals. One important aspect of learning is the use of learning media. This study develops a learning media in the form of a magazine on the human circulatory system and an inventory of antihypertensive medicinal plants in Sari Makmur Village, Tekarang District, Sambas Regency. The magazine aims to enhance students' understanding and awareness of the potential of their surrounding environment. This study aims to evaluate the feasibility of the magazine as a learning media. The method used is research and development (R&D) with a qualitative approach, referring to Sugiyono's model, which includes five stages: identification of potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, and design revision. The validation of the magazine was carried out by five biology and learning media experts, based on aspects of presentation, content, and language. The results of the validation using the Content Validity Ratio (CVR) and Content Validity Index (CVI) showed a value of 1.00 in all aspects. The reliability test with the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) yielded a value of 0.841, which is categorized as excellent. Therefore, the developed magazine is declared valid and feasible to be used as a learning media.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital-based learning highlights the need for innovative media that supports students’ understanding. At the same time, learning tools grounded in local wisdom remain scarce, especially those linking medicinal plant knowledge with food and digestive system content. The objective of this study is to assess the feasibility of a digital pocket book as a learning tool that focuses on food and the digestive system based on an inventory of medicinal plants for lengkauk disease. This research and development include potential and problems identification, data collection, product design, design validation, and design revision. The digital pocket book’s feasibility was assessed through validity testing by five validators using a validation sheet. The validated aspects included format, content, and language. The validation data were analyzed using Content Validity Ratio (CVR) and Content Validity Index (CVI). The digital pocket book validation results for food and digestive system material obtained a CVR value of 1.00 for each criterion in each aspect, with a valid category, and a CVI value of 1.00 with a valid category. Therefore, the digital pocket book developed in this study is suitable for use as a learning medium.

Abstract

Background: The use of appropriate learning media is important to support the success of biology learning; however, the utilization of local potential as a learning resource remains limited. Objectives: This study aims to develop booklet-based learning media on the subtopic of biodiversity utilization by integrating the results of an inventory of galactagogue plants as local wisdom of the community in Pampang Harapan Village, Sukadana District, Kayong Utara Regency, West Kalimantan. Methods: This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Borg and Gall model modified by Sugiyono and limited to five stages: potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, and design revision. Media validation involved three teachers and two lecturers as experts in biology and learning media. Data were analyzed using Aiken’s V and the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC). Results: The results showed an average Aiken’s V value of 0.95 (very valid), with format 0.94, content 0.98, language 0.95, and appearance 0.90. The ICC value was 0.749 (adequate to good). Conclusion: Therefore, the developed booklet is suitable for use as a biology learning medium.

Abstract

The publication of scientific articles is an important indicator in developing teacher professionalism. However, teachers' abilities in publishing scientific articles are still relatively low. This activity aims to provide teachers with an understanding of writing and the procedures for publishing scientific articles in accredited journals. The methods used are face-to-face presentations and discussions. The subjects of this community service activity are teachers at SDN 24 Pontianak Tenggara. The instrument used is a post-test questionnaire. The post-test results indicate an improvement in teachers' understanding of scientific article writing and publication. A challenge in the workshop was the limited time available for completing the articles, so further guidance is needed in the process of submitting articles to the OJS system.

Abstract

Kampus mengajar merupakan salah satu bentuk pelaksanaan merdeka belajar kampus merdeka (MBKM), yang kegiatan di dalamnya meliputi mengajar, adaptasi teknologi, serta administrasi sekolah. Dalam pelaksanaanya kampus mengajar ini memberdayakan mahasiswa untuk membantu pembelajaran di sekolah dasar di desa/kota. Salah satu sekolah yang dilibatkan adalah SD Negeri 21 Pontianak Utara yang terletak di Jalan Parit Pangeran, Kelurahan Siantan Hulu, Kecamatan Pontianak Utara, Kota Pontianak. Tujuan Program Kampus Mengajar adalah untuk memberikan solusi bagi sekolah yang terdampak pandemi covid-19. Kegiatan yang dilakukan yakni dengan memberdayakan mahasiswa sebagai peserta kampus mengajar dalam memberikan pelayanan pendidikan khususnya pada literasi dan numerasi terhadap semua peserta didik jenjang sekolah dasar yang terdampak pandemi covid-19. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan Program Kampus Mengajar di SD Negeri 21 Pontianak Utara yang dilaksanakan melalui program mahasiswa yaitu mengajar di kelas, kelompok literasi, kelompok numerasi, persiapan ujian kelas VI, motivation for student, membuat media video pembelajaran, aku kreatif, dan bantuan administrasi sekolah berdampak positif peserta didik yang ditandai dengan meningkatnya motivasi dan minat belajar peserta didik, meningkatnya kemampuan literasi dan numerasi, serta meningkatnya kualitas dalam proses pembelajaran.
