Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi sejauh mana efektivitas model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang dipadukan dengan media Bopus dalam meningkatkan keterampilan siswa kelas V SD Negeri 04 Gondangmanis dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematis. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari 21 siswa, dengan komposisi 14 laki-laki dan 7 perempuan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu berupa pretest-posttest pada satu kelompok. Data diperoleh melalui tes uraian pretest dan posttest yang berfokus pada indikator pemecahan masalah menurut Polya, serta dokumentasi lainnya. Analisis data meliputi pengujian normalitas menggunakan Shapiro-Wilk, paired sample t-test, dan uji N-Gain. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest (p = 0,022 < 0,05), dengan rata-rata peningkatan sebesar 13,81 poin. Nilai N-Gain yang mencapai 0,54173 menunjukkan adanya peningkatan dalam kategori sedang. Dari hasil tersebut, dapat dikatakan bahwa penggunaan model PBL dengan bantuan media Bopus efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa sekolah dasar dalam memecahkan masalah matematis.

Abstract

Minat belajar matematika peserta didik kelas V SDN Demangan masih tergolong rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh penggunaan model pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi dan cenderung berpusat pada guru. Rendahnya minat belajar menyebabkan siswa kurang aktif, tidak antusias, dan kesulitan memahami materi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar matematika melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah 14 siswa kelas V, terdiri dari 7 laki-laki dan 7 perempuan. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan angket minat belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan minat belajar yang signifikan. Rata-rata presentase minat belajar siswa meningkat dari 50,4% pada pra-siklus menjadi 60,2% pada siklus I, dan mencapai 76,4% pada siklus II. Peningkatan terjadi pada seluruh indikator minat belajar, seperti perasaan senang, ketertarikan, perhatian, dan partisipasi aktif dalam pembelajaran. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa model PBL mampu menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang lebih menyenangkan, menantang, dan mendorong keterlibatan siswa secara aktif. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Problem Based Learning efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar matematika siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low critical thinking ability of grade V students of SDN Sumbersoko 02 in Mathematics learning. Critical thinking skills are important skills that students need to have to solve problems logically and systematically. This study aims to measure the difference in the average value of students' critical thinking skills before and after the application of the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) model with the help of the Numbering Board (PAPABICA) media. The method used is quantitative with a one group pre-test post-test design. Data was collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and tests, then analyzed using normality tests and paired sample t-tests. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' critical thinking skills. This can be seen from the increase in the average pretest score by 54.16 to 84.33 in the posttest, with the results of the normality test (Shapiro-Wilk) of 0.215 (pretest) and 0.14 (posttest), both > 0.05. The t-test yielded a significance of 0.000 < 0.05, so Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. It can be concluded that the implementation of PMRI assisted by PAPABICA is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. So that the conclusion that can be drawn is that there is a difference in the average value of students' critical thinking skills before and after the implementation of the PMRI model with the help of PAABICA media. These findings provide an interactive and applicable alternative Mathematics learning strategy for elementary school teachers.

Abstract

Mathematics Learning Transformation through MESSI LARI Application: Critical Thinking Educative Game for Primary School Students. Critical thinking skill is one of the essential 21st-century skills that plays a crucial role in addressing the complexity of life’s problems. However, students still demonstrate low levels of critical thinking, as they tend to accept information without in-depth analysis. Elementary students are increasingly exposed to gadgets, often losing focus during lessons, relying on memorization rather than analyzing problems, and struggling to understand math questions. Objective: This study aimed to develop a technology-based learning medium to enhance students’ critical thinking skills and to evaluate its validity, effectiveness, and practicality. Method: The Research and Development (R&D) approach was employed using the 4D model: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The study involved 27 fifth-grade students as subjects at Elementary School 4 Troso. The instruments included validation sheets, test items, and questionnaires. The data analysis used the paired sample t-test and the N-Gain test (to determine the effectiveness of the MESSI LARI application). Findings: First, the validation of the MESSI LARI application reached a mean score of 87% from two experts, classified as very valid. Second, the application reported an adequate effectiveness rate of 71.8% based on pretest and posttest results. Third, student questionnaire responses indicated a practicality score of 86.67%, categorized as very practical. Conclusion: This study confirms that the MESSI LARI application, a Critical Thinking Educational Game, is valid, effective, and practical for use in elementary mathematics learning. Keywords: transformation, elementary mathematics, MESSI LARI application, educative game, critical thinking.

Abstract

Low learning participation is the main problem in the learning of science for grade IV students Elementary School of Demangan. This classroom action research aims to increase student learning participation through the application of the role playing learning model. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles. The subjects in this study were 14 grade IV students Elementary School of  Demangan. The data analysis method in this study used a descriptive method by comparing student participation before and after the action. The results showed an increase in learning participation from the pre-cycle of 50.1%, cycle I of 63.3%, and cycle II reaching 81.3%, which is in the very high category. This increase shows that the role playing model is effective in creating a pleasant learning atmosphere and encouraging active involvement of students in the learning process. Thus, the role playing model can be used as an alternative strategy for learning science that can significantly increase student learning participation

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi penggunaan model pembelajaran STAD yang dipadukan dengan media VIDBAR (video edukatif bangun datar) efektif terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas IV-A SD 1 Mijen. Latar belakang penelitian didasari oleh rendahnya minat dan motivasi siswa, yang tercermin dari minimnya partisipasi mereka dalam bertanya, menjawab, maupun berdiskusi selama proses pembelajaran, sehingga berdampak pada lemahnya pemahaman konsep matematika. Model STAD berbantuan media VIDBAR menawarkan pembelajaran kolaboratif berbasis konsep dengan dukungan visualisasi yang konkret, sehingga diharapkan dapat memperkuat pemahaman siswa melalui kerja kelompok terstruktur. Metode penelitian ini kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental tipe One Group Pretest-Posttest. Subjek penelitian yakni semua siswa kelas IV-A berjumlah 25 dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Evaluasi data dikerjakan melalui uji normalitas dan uji Paired Sample T-Test. Temuan penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa rata-rata nilai pretest siswa sebesar 63% (kategori cukup) meningkat menjadi 81% (kategori sangat baik) pada posttest. Uji Paired Sample T-Test diketahui nilai signifikansi kurang 0,001, menandakan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan secara statistic antara nilai pretest dan posttest. Efektivitas model diukur menggunakan Cohen’s d dengan hasil 2,179, yang termasuk kategori efek sangat besar. Dengan demikian, penggunaan model STAD berbantuan media VIDBAR terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas IV-A SD 1 Mijen pada materi bangun datar.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' understanding of ordering numbers in mathematics learning in class 1 of SDN 3 Undaan Lor through number balls. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). This research data collection technique uses tests and documentation. The data analysis technique used uses quantitative and qualitative data. The research subjects were all 26 students in class 1 of SD 3 Undaan Lor. The results of the research show that there is an increase in students' understanding of mathematical concepts in ordering numbers using number ball media which has proven to be effective, this is proven by the results of the percentage of data obtained during the pre-cycle, namely 38% in the poor category, increasing to 69% in the good category in the first cycle, then increased to 88% with a very good category in cycle 2. Increasing students' understanding in ordering numbers in mathematics learning in class 1 of SDN 3 Undaan Lor through number balls can increase by fulfilling the predetermined success indicators, namely 85%, so that this research is declared complete.

Abstract

Rendahnya pemahaman konsep matematika pada siswa sekolah dasar sering disebabkan oleh pendekatan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru serta keterbatasan penggunaan media pembelajaran, sehingga siswa kurang aktif dan hasil belajar belum optimal. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut dibutuhkan penerapan model pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa dengan dukungan media konkret agar keterlibatan dan pemahaman meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model Discovery Learning berbantuan media Kabatar (kartu belajar bangun datar) terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest, melibatkan 34 siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Bulungcangkring. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes, wawancara, dan observasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan uji normalitas, uji paired sample t-test, dan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dengan nilai rata-rata pretest 46 menjadi 79 pada posttest. Uji paired sample t-test memperoleh signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, sedangkan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,64 menunjukkan efektivitas kategori sedang. Hampir semua indikator pemahaman konsep mengalami peningkatan, meskipun keterampilan mengaitkan konsep dengan kehidupan nyata masih rendah. Penelitian hanya menggunakan satu kelompok tanpa kontrol sehingga generalisasi terbatas, dan disarankan penelitian lanjutan dengan sampel yang lebih luas. Integrasi model Discovery Learning dengan media Kabatar memberikan alternatif strategi pembelajaran bagi guru untuk meningkatkan keaktifan dan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. Penelitian ini memberikan bukti empiris mengenai integrasi media kartu interaktif dengan pembelajaran berbasis penemuan, sehingga berkontribusi pada inovasi pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the SI-BAD application-assisted problem-based learning model in improving students' mathematical problem-solving skills. This study was a pre-experimental quantitative study with a one-group pretest-posttest design conducted in class V of SDN Mangunrejo 1 with a population of 19 students. The sampling technique used in this study was saturated sampling. The data collection techniques used were tests and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were the paired sample t-test and the N-Gain test. The results of the study showed that the SI-BAD application-assisted problem-based learning model was effective and that there was an increase in students' mathematical problem-solving skills after using this model. The results of the paired sample t-test showed that the use of the SI-BAD application-assisted problem-based learning model was effective in improving students' mathematical problem-solving skills. It was found that the percentage of improvement in students' abilities was 60.02%, which is considered quite effective.

Abstract

The low mathematics learning outcomes of class VI students at SD 3 Purwosari is due to the fact that learning is still teacher-centered and has not utilized learning media so that effective and appropriate solutions and innovations are needed so that mathematics learning achieves the expected learning objectives. One of the innovations that can be applied to learning mathematics is the use of KAHI  media. The aims of this study were 1) to examine the differences before and after applying KAHI media to students' mathematics learning outcomes, 2) to find out the increase in students' mathematics learning outcomes before and after applying KAHI Media. This research is a quantitative research type of pre-experimental design using one group pretest-posttest. The hypothesis test used is the Paired Sample t Test and the N-Gain test. The results of the Paired Sample t Test obtained a significance value of 0.000<0.05 indicating that there was a significant difference between learning before and after applying the KAHI media. The results of the N-Gain test obtained 45% results in the medium category, so it can be concluded that the use of KAHI media is effective for the mathematics learning outcomes of grade VI elementary school students.
