Abstract

The purpose of this study was to design and implement a duck egg incubator. An egg incubator is a machine that functions to take over the incubation task of a duck mother in incubating fertilized eggs from the result of crossing or mating with a male. The existing incubators work in temperature control, reversing the egg racks, but do not use an egg informing system that has been hatched. In designing this duck egg incubator based on Arduino as a controller. The temperature used must be measured by the resistance of the space or the approximate resistance of the eggs to hatch. The microcontroller used is the ATMega328 integrated on the Arduino Uno, temperature sensor, humidity sensor, humidity control system and other supporting components using Arduino. The test was carried out by comparing the DS18B20 temperature sensor with a Thermometer with an error difference of 0.15. The result of this research is the device can control the temperature not exceeding 39 ° C for hatching eggs. The device has 2 usage buttons, namely a start button (green) to perform hatching day calculations and a reset button (red) to stop hatching day calculations. The day variable that has been running is still stored in the microcontroller EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory) so that if there is a disconnection or loss of a voltage power source such as a power failure and so on. The 12VDC fan on the device turns on every 30 minutes and goes out for the next 30 minutes

Abstract

This study aims to explore the Educational Supply Chain Management System existing in the case faculty by using the sequential mixed methods (qualitative-quantitative). The use of mixed methods in this work not only captures the full picture of the comprehensive research results but also fills the gap in the existing literature. Purposive sampling method and simple random sampling method were used for selecting the participants. The target population involved academicians and management practitioners. The number of participants for qualitative was 48 and 50 respondents for the quantitative method. A semi-structured interview with at least 20 questions was used and 40 minutes was consumed on average per interview. Thematic analysis was employed for qualitative data analysis. Qualitative phase resulted in five primary activities involving input, operation, output, public relations, and services, and four supporting activities consisting of procurement, technology management, human resources, and infrastructure management (finance and student affairs). Based on these results, nine themes were developed to build quantitative instruments which included 38 Likert Scales questions. Pearson’s R-Table method was used for instrument validity test and Cronbach Alpha Coefficient was applied to test instrument reliability. The data from the respondents were analyzed by Percentage Analysis method. Measurement level of all indicators achieved over 65% and thus, nine supply chain functions (qualitative results) have firmly identified by quantitative method as the existing functions. Therefore, this research gives the sufficient research findings of how the Educational Supply Chain works in the educational institution.

Abstract

Abstract

This research was appointed because the number of students who got low scores was due to changes in the learning system at the school, the unavailability of reference books and inadequate learning media in construction and property business management subjects. The purpose of this research is to find out the steps for making Flip PDF Professional learning media based on android that are valid and feasible. This research includes research and development with the DDD-E (Decide, Design, Develop, Evaluated) development model developed by Ivers & Barron. The subjects of this study were students of class XI BKP (Property Construction Business) SMK N 1 Bukittinggi semester 1. The data collection instrument was taken using a questionnaire given to material experts, media experts, teachers and students to test the level of validity of the Android-based Flip PDF Professional learning media developed. The results showed that the level of validity of the learning media by the material expert validator was 0.97 in the valid category, the assessment by the media expert validator was 0.93 in the valid category, the evaluation by the teacher with a value of 0.96 was in the valid category and the evaluation by the students with a value of 0.80 which falls into the valid category. To assess the feasibility of the media seen from the evaluation of student learning outcomes, the results of hypothesis testing using the t-test state that t-count is greater than t-table (6.84 > 2.01), out of 24 students who did the posttest the scores of all students increased. , the average learning outcomes before using learning media O1 = 54.58 and learning outcomes after using learning media O2 = 72.29. It can be concluded that the Android-based Flip PDF Professionallearning media that was developed is valid and feasible to be used as a learning media for construction and property business management.
