Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of socialization, taxpayer compliance, and tax collection on Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2) revenue in Regional Tax Sector I of the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Batam City. The study used a descriptive, quantitative approach with a population of 323,830 PBB-P2 taxpayers and a sample of 100 respondents selected via simple random sampling. The instrument, in the form of a questionnaire, has been tested for validity and reliability, with all items demonstrating both. The results of the t-test show that socialization has a significant effect on PBB-P2 revenue (t count = 5.034; sig. = 0.000), taxpayer compliance has a considerable impact (t count = 8.191; sig. = 0.000), and tax collection also has a considerable effect (t count = 7.944; sig. = 0.000). Multiple linear regression analysis yields the equation Y = 5.163 + 0.090X₁ + 0.379X₂ + 0.981X₃, with a determination coefficient (R²) of 0.530, indicating that these three variables explain 53% of the variation in PBB-P2 revenue. The simultaneous F test shows a significant influence of the three independent variables on PBB-P2 revenue (F count = 98.537 > F table = 2.93; sig. = 0.000). This study emphasizes the importance of integrating socialization, compliance, and collection in increasing PBB-P2 revenue in Batam City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work discipline, Competence, and employee empowerment on employee performance at the Directorate of Goods Traffic of the Batam Business Agency (BP). The study used a descriptive, quantitative approach with a census method, given the relatively small population of 35 employees; thus, the entire population served as respondents. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the validity test showed that all statement items had a calculated r value greater than the r value in the table and a significance level below 0.05. In contrast, the reliability test yielded a Cronbach's Alpha value above 0.60 for all research variables, indicating that the instrument was suitable for use. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression in IBM SPSS. Partial testing results indicate that work discipline, Competence, and employee empowerment each have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneous testing also shows that the three independent variables together have a substantial effect on employee performance. The high coefficient of determination value indicates that most of the variation in employee performance can be explained by the variables of work discipline, Competence, and employee empowerment. Thus, improving employee performance can be achieved through strengthening work discipline, developing Competence, and sustainable employee empowerment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation, work culture, and responsibility on employee performance at the Galang District Office, Batam City. The study sample included all 91 employees using census techniques. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, questionnaires, and literature reviews. Data analysis used validity and reliability tests, as well as multiple regression to examine the influence of independent variables on the dependent variable. The results showed that work motivation contributed the most significant amount of 38.7% to employee performance, followed by work culture at 33.2% and responsibility at 28.1%. These three variables simultaneously had a significant effect on employee performance, as indicated by a calculated F value > the F table value. This study shows that improving employee performance does not depend solely on one factor, but rather on a balanced combination of work motivation, work culture, and responsibility. This finding emphasizes the importance of implementing an integrated human resource management strategy to improve the quality of public services at the Galang District Office.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of facilities, employee empowerment, and job satisfaction on employee performance in the E-Government Implementation Division of the Batam City Communication and Informatics Office. In this investigation, employee performance is the dependent variable, while facilities, employee empowerment, and job satisfaction are independent variables. The research method is a descriptive, quantitative approach, with a population of 97 employees, all of whom were respondents via census methods. The research instrument in the form of a questionnaire has been tested for validity and reliability; all items are declared valid with r count > r table (0.1829) and significance <0.05, and all variables have Cronbach's Alpha values above 0.60, namely facilities (0.832), employee empowerment (0.837), job satisfaction (0.873), and employee performance (0.782). The results of multiple linear regression analysis show the equation Y = 2.829 + 0.193X₁ + 0.451X₂ + 0.218X₃. The t-tests for each independent variable indicate a positive, significant effect on employee performance. In contrast, the F-test shows that all three variables have a significant simultaneous influence, with F = 42.386 > F table (2.72). The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.594 indicates that these three variables explain 59.4% of the variation in employee performance. This study concludes that improving facilities, employee empowerment, and job satisfaction significantly optimize employee performance at the Batam City Communication and Informatics Office.
