Abstract

The main focus of this program is community empowerment, which is carried out systematically and sustainably. This empowerment is not only limited to knowledge transfer, but also includes coaching, mentoring, and evaluation that enable communities to be independent in the long term. Based on science, technology, and practical skills, PkM is designed to suit the specific needs of target partners. The technology introduced in this program must be able to be adopted and developed independently by the community, so that its benefits can continue even after the program has ended. Economic and social strengthening can be achieved through the Community Service (PkM) program by examining case studies of target partners. This analysis is conducted to understand the extent to which interventions provided through PkM are able to have a significant impact on improving community welfare. By exploring the various approaches that have been implemented in the PkM program, this article also aims to identify key factors that contribute to the program's success, as well as obstacles often encountered in its implementation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of Job Competence, Workload, and Reward System on Employee Performance in the Economic Division of the Regional Secretariat in Batam City. The context of this study stems from the phenomenon of suboptimal employee performance, characterised by delays in completing macroeconomic reports and work results that do not meet organisational goals. The main factors suspected of influencing this condition are employee competencies that do not fully match job demands, disproportionate distribution of workloads, and an ineffective and unfair reward system. This study uses a quantitative, associative research design. The study population consisted of 35 employees, all sampled using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analysed using multiple linear regression in SPSS version 25. The results of the study indicate that Job Competence, Workload, and Reward System have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance, both partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.742 indicates that these three variables explain 74.2% of the variation in Employee Performance, while factors outside the research model explain the remaining 25.8%. This finding underscores the importance of enhancing competency, managing a balanced workload, and implementing a fair and transparent reward system to boost employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work discipline, work loyalty, and work motivation on the performance of Regional Tax I employees at the Batam City Regional Revenue Agency Office. The study used a quantitative, census-based approach, with the entire population of 81 employees serving as respondents. Data were collected through a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The test results showed that all statement items were valid (r > 0.218, p < 0.05) and reliable (Cronbach's Alpha > 0.60). Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results of the study indicate that partial work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; work loyalty also has a positive and significant effect, and work motivation has a positive and significant effect, with the latter being the most dominant contributor. Simultaneously, work discipline, work loyalty, and work motivation have a significant effect on employee performance. The coefficient of determination of 0.719 indicates that 71.9% of the variation in employee performance is explained by the three independent variables, with the remaining 28.1% attributed to other factors outside the study. This finding emphasizes the importance of integrated human resource management in improving the performance of public sector employees.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of socialization, taxpayer compliance, and tax collection on Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2) revenue in Regional Tax Sector I of the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Batam City. The study used a descriptive, quantitative approach with a population of 323,830 PBB-P2 taxpayers and a sample of 100 respondents selected via simple random sampling. The instrument, in the form of a questionnaire, has been tested for validity and reliability, with all items demonstrating both. The results of the t-test show that socialization has a significant effect on PBB-P2 revenue (t count = 5.034; sig. = 0.000), taxpayer compliance has a considerable impact (t count = 8.191; sig. = 0.000), and tax collection also has a considerable effect (t count = 7.944; sig. = 0.000). Multiple linear regression analysis yields the equation Y = 5.163 + 0.090X₁ + 0.379X₂ + 0.981X₃, with a determination coefficient (R²) of 0.530, indicating that these three variables explain 53% of the variation in PBB-P2 revenue. The simultaneous F test shows a significant influence of the three independent variables on PBB-P2 revenue (F count = 98.537 > F table = 2.93; sig. = 0.000). This study emphasizes the importance of integrating socialization, compliance, and collection in increasing PBB-P2 revenue in Batam City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work discipline, Competence, and employee empowerment on employee performance at the Directorate of Goods Traffic of the Batam Business Agency (BP). The study used a descriptive, quantitative approach with a census method, given the relatively small population of 35 employees; thus, the entire population served as respondents. Data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the validity test showed that all statement items had a calculated r value greater than the r value in the table and a significance level below 0.05. In contrast, the reliability test yielded a Cronbach's Alpha value above 0.60 for all research variables, indicating that the instrument was suitable for use. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression in IBM SPSS. Partial testing results indicate that work discipline, Competence, and employee empowerment each have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneous testing also shows that the three independent variables together have a substantial effect on employee performance. The high coefficient of determination value indicates that most of the variation in employee performance can be explained by the variables of work discipline, Competence, and employee empowerment. Thus, improving employee performance can be achieved through strengthening work discipline, developing Competence, and sustainable employee empowerment.
