Abstract

The study aims to explain the process of externalization, objectification, and internalization in the urf study of the implementation of ngumbai lawok. The research uses an ethnographic approach where data is taken by looking directly at the ceremonies and traditions to obtain details of the implementation carried out. Analysis of the data used is a descriptive analysis technique by describing the object's state under study. The results of this study describe ngumbai lawok is a form of traditional ceremony celebrated or carried out by the people of the West Coast as a form of gratitude to Allah swt to get fruitful results and avoid the calamity that will occur. The externalization process creates the ngumbai lawok ceremony, which is obtained based on his beliefs so far. The objectification process, which includes the ngumbai lawok ceremony, is obtained from the externalization process. Institutional agents consist of traditional leaders, community leaders, village heads, and fishing communities. The internalization process is explored in the name of the community again, perceiving and interpreting every meaning of the ngumbai lawok ceremony. Based on the urf theory review, ngumbai lawok is a form of gratitude in God's nature. In addition, it is a custom that has been accepted by the wider community, justified by considerations of common sense, brings good, and rejects damage. In ngumbai lawok, the request is also purely addressed to Allah and hopes for the blessing and salvation. In addition, in the ngumbai lawok ritual, in essence, the Coastal community only respects their previous ancestors and carries out traditions from generation to generation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the problem-solving skills that students learn from emotional intelligence. This type of research is descriptive and qualitative. The instruments used are questionnaires, tests, and interviews. The questionnaire instrument was used to measure students' emotional intelligence. The test instrument was used to measure problem-solving skills, and interviews were conducted to learn more about problem-solving skills. The subjects of this study were 5 of 15 students from class VIII who were taken as a sample and then given an ability test and analysis based on Krulik and Rudnick's problem-solving steps. Subjects with high emotional intelligence can understand the context of the problem and represent the problem with pictures. Students can link between information, use appropriate strategies or steps, and relevant answers and conclusions. The subject with medium emotional intelligence is rewriting information on the problem using mathematical models and their language. Subjects can relate information, but not all students' answers are correct. Subjects with low emotional intelligence do not make representations or use clear problem-solving strategies. Subjects cannot relate information, so they do wrong calculations and only guess the answer.

Abstract

Student's difficulties in learning mathematics independently are due to the lack of media that supports the learning process and is practical in use and the lack of freedom to choose their preferred field. The aim is to develop teaching materials in the form of an e-module guided discovery learning model in the HOTS-based independent learning curriculum. The steps of the Guided Discovery Learning Model used in the e-module are the steps according to Polya, namely: (1) understanding the problem; (2) making plans; (3) implementing the plan; (4) looking back or checking again. This type of research is Research and Development (RND), using development steps according to Borg & Gall, which Sugiyono has transformed. The development steps are limited to seven degrees. Among them; are potential and problems, gathering information, product design, product validation, product improvement, product testing, and product revision. The final result is the percentage of design expert validation getting valid criteria. Moreover, the results of student responses obtained exciting measures. As well as the results of student responses obtaining interesting criteria so that e-modules are feasible to be developed for learning materials

Abstract

The interaction of kindergarten students with others is dominant in individual activities. It causes low early reading skills. The application of innovative learning media would attract students' interest in interacting with other children and optimize children's interpersonal intelligence. The study examined the effect of instructional media and interpersonal intelligence on early reading skills. This study used to design treatment by level 2 x 2. The selection of this method is based on the existence of treatment with variable attributes based on Interpersonal intelligence levels. Using simple random sampling 44 children were divided into four groups —data Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Tukey test. The study concluded that there was a significant difference between the effect of instructional media and media fun thinkers and big books for early reading skills. There was a significant interaction between instructional media and interpersonal intelligence on the early reading skills, (3) for a group that has a high degree of interpersonal intelligence and use fun thinkers media the effect early reading skills is higher than that used big books treatment media. For groups who have lower levels of interpersonal intelligence and used media fun thinkers treatment early reading skills lower than that used big books treatment media
