Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis apakah etika kerja dan kualitas pelayanan custumer service terhadap kepuasan nasabah di sebuah bank dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Nilai, sikap serta perilaku dipandang sebagai etika kerja  seorang pegawai dalam menjalankan tugas, sedangkan kemampuan,ketepatan, keramahan dan responsivitas di pandang sebagai pelayanan kepada seorang nasabah.Data di peroleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkam bahwa etika kerja yang baik ditandai dengan profesionalisme,tanggung jawab,integritas serta pelayanan customer service yang ramah,responsif dan komunikatif. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya budaya kerja positif dan kualitas pelayanan sebagai faktor utama dalam membangun hubungan baik dengan nasabah.

Abstract

Green marketing is an essential strategy in promoting public awareness of sustainability and the green economy. A positive brand image and strong e-WOM can influence consumer purchasing decisions in e-commerce. Environmentally friendly products are increasingly becoming the choice in supporting economic sustainability in the future. However, the effectiveness of green marketing in driving purchasing decisions through brand image and e-WOM still needs further analysis. The purpose of this study is to analyse the direct and indirect effects of green marketing on purchasing decisions, with brand image and e-WOM as mediators, among consumers who buy green products in Situbondo Regency. Hypothesis testing was conducted based on a structural equation model using the Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach. The main achievement expected from this study is to fill the knowledge gap by exploring how brand image and e-WOM can strengthen the influence of green marketing on purchasing decisions, particularly among electric bicycle users in Situbondo Regency. The results of this study can be used as a consideration in formulating more effective green marketing strategies by maximising the roles of brand image and e-WOM to encourage purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Developing students”™ deep understanding through meaningful learning experiences requires instructional approaches that are both engaging and emotionally supportive. This study aims to map the implementation of joyful art learning strategies in elementary schools and analyze how such strategies contribute to students”™ deep understanding. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving classroom observations, teacher interviews, and document analysis of instructional materials. The data were analyzed through thematic coding to identify patterns in learning activities and their cognitive implications. The findings reveal that joyful art learning is implemented through experiential activities, creative exploration, collaborative tasks, and reflective discussions, which encourage students to express ideas, interpret meaning, and construct conceptual understanding. These strategies were found to strengthen deep understanding by promoting active engagement, imagination, and higher-level cognitive processes. However, the implementation still faces challenges, including insufficient learning time, limited art learning facilities, and variability in teachers”™ pedagogical competence. This study highlights the importance of integrating joyful learning principles into art education to create emotionally supportive learning environments and to enhance cognitive depth in elementary students.

Abstract

Introduction: Limited awareness and diagnostic resources contribute to delayed recognition of primary immunodeficiency (PID). The Jeffrey Modell Foundation (JMF) 10 warning signs have been widely used for screening. However, their diagnostic performance has not been validated in Indonesia. Objective: To evaluate the diagnostic performance of the JMF 10 warning signs for early detection of PID among children with recurrent infections in Indonesia. Methods: This multicentre cross-sectional study was conducted across 10 hospitals in Jakarta involving 254 children aged 0–18 years who met the severe, persistent, unusual, and recurrent (SPUR) infection criteria. The diagnosis of PID was established based on clinical diagnosis by the European Society for Immunodeficiencies (ESID) Registry Working Definitions. Analysis was performed to determine the sensitivity, specificity, predictive values, and accuracy of the JMF 10 warning signs. Results: Diagnostic performance for PID improved with the number of warning signs, with overall accuracy increasing from 15% (1 sign) to 86.2% (≥5 signs). A total score of ≥3 signs was associated with higher occurrence of PID (PR 2.63; 95% CI 1.23–5.60; p = 0.008), providing an optimal balance of 75.7% sensitivity and 48.9% specificity. The two most specific indicators were recurrent severe sinus infections (99.5%) and ear infections (95%). All PID subjects required IV antibiotics. Conclusion: The JMF warning signs remain a valuable clinical screening tool for early detection of PID among Indonesian children. A threshold of three or more warning signs provides reasonable accuracy for screening and referral of PID in resource-limited settings.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of song movement created by Pertiwi Kutoharjo Kaliwungu Kindergarten Teacher, map the elements of song movement to the stimulation of Multiple Intelligences (MI), and explain the creative process of teachers along with the supporting factors and challenges of their implementation at Pertiwi Kutoharjo Kaliwungu Kindergarten. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with a focus on case studies. Data was collected through observation of the implementation of activities, field notes, and study of video documents. The analysis was carried out by summarizing the structure of the musical form and choreography, mapping the MI indicators that appeared during the activity, and then interpreting the findings based on the implementation in the classroom. The results of the study showed that there were three movements of songs created that were used as learning media, namely "Cheerful Morning in My Class", "Ayo Rapi Bersama", and "Lingkar Sahabat". The musical forms and movements exhibit a compact structure with clear repetition; "Cheerful Morning in My Class" tends to be one part (A), "Let's Neat Together" is in the form of A B A, while "Circle of Friends" reads as A1, A2, B, and a coda with an emphasis on floor patterns. MI mapping showed the most consistent musical and kinesthetic tendencies, with linguistic aspects strengthening in songs containing operational verbs, while interpersonal and visual spatial were prominent in songs with circular or semicircular formations. The teacher's creative process takes place through the stages of determining the theme, designing movements, trials, revisions, and routine implementation. The main supporting factors are in the form of classroom routines, audio facilities, collaboration, and school support, while the main challenges are related to space, time, noise, and the heterogeneity of children's abilities. These findings confirm that the design of song movements that are measurable, safe, and easy to remember supports the implementation, safety, and harmony of activities in kindergarten classes.

Abstract

Penerapan Project-Based Learning (PjBL) berpotensi mengembangkan berpikir kritis, namun integrasi masalah nyata seperti mitigasi bencana masih jarang dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji keefektifan proyek mitigasi filter air berbasis STEAM dalam menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Menggunakan desain eksperimen murni posttest-only control group, penelitian ini melibatkan 58 siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Kembang Jepara yang dipilih melalui cluster random sampling. Kelompok eksperimen menerapkan proyek STEAM, sementara kelompok kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar dan angket respons, lalu dianalisis menggunakan uji independent t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada kelompok eksperimen secara signifikan lebih baik dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa proyek mitigasi filter air berbasis STEAM efektif mengembangkan berpikir kritis serta keterampilan abad ke-21 (kreativitas, kolaborasi, dan komunikasi). Integrasi matematika dalam konteks dunia nyata melalui proyek STEAM menjadi strategi krusial untuk menumbuhkan kepedulian siswa terhadap isu mitigasi bencana. While Project-Based Learning (PjBL) is recognized for its potential to develop students' critical thinking, the integration of real-world contexts, particularly disaster mitigation, remains underexplored. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a STEAM-based water filter mitigation project in fostering students' critical thinking skills. Employing a true experimental posttest-only control group design, the study involved 58 seventh-grade students from SMP Negeri 3 Kembang Jepara, selected via cluster random sampling. The experimental group implemented the STEAM project, while the control group received teacher-centered conventional instruction. Data were collected through achievement tests and student response questionnaires, followed by independent t-test analysis. The findings reveal that students engaged in the STEAM-based project demonstrated significantly higher critical thinking skills than those in the conventional group. This study confirms that STEAM-based water filter mitigation projects effectively develop critical thinking and reinforce 21st-century skills, including creativity, collaboration, and communication. Furthermore, integrating mathematics into real-world contexts through STEAM serves as a crucial strategy to enhance students' awareness of disaster mitigation issues.

Abstract

Background: Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide, leading to 670,000 deaths globally in 2022. Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) plays a role in the metastasis of breast cancer. The EMT process begins with the invasion of cancer cells into surrounding tissues, intravasation into blood vessels, circulating tumor cells (CTCs), evasion of the immune process, and extravasation to a new location. Epithelial cells undergoing EMT are characterized by an increase in mesenchymal markers such as vimentin, which indicates migration of breast cancer cells. Previous studies have shown that EMT contributes to resistance to chemotherapy. This study aims to evaluate pre and post-chemotherapy of vimentin-positive CTCs in breast cancer patients and the association with chemotherapy. Methods: A prospective cohort study at Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital and Koja Hospital, Jakarta, from March to June 2024. This study obtained vimentin-positive CTCs pre- and post-chemotherapy and clinicopathological factors in 24 breast cancer patients. The inclusion criteria were patients diagnosed with breast cancer with histological subtype invasive carcinoma of no special type, and patients were eligible for chemotherapy and continued to receive first-line chemotherapy. Vimentin-positive CTCs were evaluated by using the FITC immunofluorescence technique with a BD FACSLyric flow cytometer. The association between the vimentin-positive CTCs pre- and post-chemotherapy was analysed by using the Wilcoxon test. The Mann-Whitney test was used to analyse the association between the delta number of vimentin CTCs and clinicopathological factorsResults: Total vimentin CTCs pre- and post-chemotherapy were measured in 24 patients. The delta vimentin-positive CTCs were calculated as the difference between total vimentin-positive CTCs pre-chemotherapy minus total CTCs post-chemotherapy. A significant association was observed between the vimentin-positive CTC levels pre- and post-chemotherapy (p = 0.009). Clinicopathological factor analysis showed no significant association between delta CTCs. Conclusions: The vimentin-positive CTC level in breast cancer patients was significantly reduced post received chemotherapy. Due to the small sample size, this study may have limited statistical power. This study suggests further research on vimentin-positive CTCs as predictor factors for chemotherapy response in breast cancer patients.

Latar belakang masalah: Skizofrenia merupakan gangguan psikiatri yang menimbulkan disabilitas yang cukup luas serta dicirikan oleh suatu siklus kekambuhan. Family interventions memfasilitasi pemulihan pasien skizofrenia di masyarakat dan meningkatkan keterlibatan keluarga dalam pengobatan sehingga efektif dalam mengurangi risiko relaps dan rehospitalisasi.Tujuan: Tujuan dari studi ini adalah melakukan systematic review terhadap artikel hasil penelitian yang menguji efektivitas family interventions terhadap risiko relaps pasien skizofrenia.Metode: Metode yang digunakan adalah pencarian pada database Proquest, ScienceDirect, dan Wiley Online yang dipublikasikan 10 tahun terakhir (2011-2021) untuk mengidentifikasi penelitian eksperimen yang relevan. Kata kunci yang digunakan adalah schizophrenia or psychosis AND “family intervention” or “family psychoeducation”, AND prevent relapse or recurrence.Hasil: Telaah terhadap 8 artikel menunjukkan bahwa family interventions dapat mengurangi gejala, risiko relaps dan rehospitalisasi, serta meningkatkan keterampilan sosial.

Abstract

Background Primary immunodeficiency (PID) is widely underdiagnosed in countries with high rates of infection and limited diagnostic facilities, such as Indonesia. It remains challenging to distinguish PID from other conditions predisposing children to severe, persistent, unusual, and recurrent (SPUR) infection. Such conditions include secondary immunodeficiency caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, allergic diseases, and chronic diseases with structural or anatomical abnormalities. Objective To evaluate children with SPUR infections for PID and to compare the clinical characteristics of children with PID to those with other underlying conditions. Methods We conducted a cross-sectional, analytic study of children aged 0-18 years presenting with SPUR infections at 10 hospitals in Jakarta, Indonesia, from July 2024 to September 2025. Clinical assessment and laboratory investigations, including immunological tests, were performed to identify the underlying cause of SPUR infections. Children were classified as healthy, PID, secondary immunodeficiency (HIV), allergy, or chronic disease/anatomical abnormalities. Results Two hundred fifty-four subjects (53% male) with a median age of 26 months were included in our study. Most of them had a history of pneumonia (72.1%), diarrhea (31.1%), and pulmonary tuberculosis (27.9%). Thirty-three (13%) subjects were diagnosed with PID, with the majority being male (60.6%). The most common PID found was antibody deficiency (27.3%), followed by immunodeficiencies combined with associated or syndromic features (24.2%), and immunodeficiencies affecting cellular and humoral immunity (21.2%). Median age of onset in the PID group was 12 (3–24) months. Severe malnutrition was most common in children with HIV. Gender, parental consanguinity, and adverse events following live vaccines did not differ significantly across groups. Conclusion The prevalence of PID among children with SPUR infection in this study was 13%, with the most common classification being antibody deficiency.

Abstract

Heavy metal pollution is a major environmental problem due to its toxicity, persistence, and potential accumulation in ecosystems. Cadmium (Cd) and Lead (Pb) are among the toxic heavy metals that can contaminate soil and groundwater, particularly due to improper waste management practices. Bioremediation using microorganisms, including fungi, has been investigated as an alternative approach for reducing heavy metal contamination. This study aimed to isolate indigenous fungi from Piyungan Landfill soil and evaluate their potential for Cd and Pb bioremediation. Soil sampels were collected from Piyungan Landfill and subjected to fungal isolation using pour plate methods to obtain indigenous fungal isolates. The remediation potential of fungal isolates was evaluated in modified nutrient-limited media supplemented with Cd concentrations of 0.5, 5, and 10 ppm and Pb concentrations of 50, 100, and 150 ppm, with Bromothymol Blue (BTB) as an indicator. Fungal characterization was performed based on macroscopic observations, including colony color, surface characteristics, and morphology, as well as microscopic observation using lactophenol blue staining. All isolates demonstrated potential for heavy metal bioremediation, indicated by fungal growth and changes in medium color and pH after exposure to Pb and Cd. The optimum remediation potential for Cd was observed in isolates 5, 6, and 7 at concentrations of 0.5, 5, and 10 ppm, respectively. Meanwhile, all isolates showed potential for Pb remediation based on changes in the test medium. These findings indicate that indigenous fungi isolated from landfill soil have potential as biological agents for the remediation of Pb- and Cd-contaminated environments.
