Abstract

The policy of developing Nusantara Capital City was made by the government to reduce inequality between islands in Indonesia. East Kalimantan, which has tropical rainforests, was chosen as the destination for the development of Nusantara Capital City. The selection of East Kalimantan as the main development destination certainly has an impact on the environmental ecosystem in the forest area in the development area of Nusantara Capital City. This research analyzes the impact and government efforts in dealing with environmental ecosystem problems in the development area of Ibu Kota Nusantara. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method which is expected to help in the process of problem identification. This research sees that the development of Nusantara Capital City can have the potential for deforestation, environmental damage, water pollution to degradation of soil quality. The government provides efforts by issuing Law Number 3 of 2022 concerning the development of the Nusantara Capital City which focuses on environmental protection and management by using the Forest City concept, reforesting and restoring ecosystems and conducting Environmental Impact Analysis (AMDAL) to realize the development of the Nusantara Capital City with environmental ecosystem sustainability.

Abstract

This paper is the second part of the two-part report on study for establishing alternative models that are valid for Indonesian carbonate reservoirs. In this second part formulation of the new models is presented. For the study, 407 plug samples taken from various limestone reservoirs in Indonesia were used. Following Lucia’s procedure the samples were classified, grouped, averaged, and their capillary pressure data was formulated to form water saturation models that are essentially functions of porosity and height above free water level. Validity test on the models are performed on two wells in West Java with very encouraging results. With using the Archie model as reference, justified using well test data, the new models prove themselves reliable while the original Lucia models provide far too optimistic estimates. The model validity check shows tha the models are valid for at least Class 1 and Class 2 rocks in accordance with Lucia classification. Study on Class 3 rock is needed in the future

Abstract

In production management, a prior knowledge over production potential of a candidate sand layer (geological complexity in Indonesia has led to existence of stratified reservoirs with a set of layers) to be opened is always desirable. The common practice performed during drilling and completion activities of a production well is through the use of well testing and fluid sampling. From the test, fluid dynamic data such as total liquid rate, water cut, and gas cut are produced. A similar set of data is also required for more mature fields for the purpose of monitoring through the running of routine production and/or swab tests.Although the tests, especially flow tests during drilling and completion, are always regarded as the only source of proof about productive layer(s) production potential, an alternative means that can be used to provide estimates is always desired. The main reason is that flow tests are costly so that only layer(s) considered as the most potential are to be assigned for testing. Layer(s) that are considered less potential are left untested, eventhough in some cases they are also set on production during the well's production phase. The idea of establishing a method that can provide illustration over production potentials of all layer(s) always exists. Certainly, there are approaches to serve the purpose such as productivity index (PI) analogy and petrophysical through fractional flow measurement in a core laboratory. However, those approaches are often considered inadequate in accommodating various factors that may influence production potential. To materialize the idea stated above, the pattern recognition approach was taken. This approach was taken in order to model the relationships between various fac- tors in wellbore and production potential without being trapped by the certain complexity that occurs in any mathematical expressions trying to explain the relationships. For the purpose, fuzzy logie (a branch in ArtificialIntelligence) has been used. The choice is actually based on its ability to accommodate both numeric and non-numeric data. Some non-numeric data such as lithology and pore system also have some degrees of influence on production potential. With a tool that enables us to have production potential estimates of reservoir layers, from which layers with the most promising potential are taken to undergo flow tests. Furthermore, as flow test data has been acquired and used as feedback and calibration by the fuzzy model, production potential of layer(s) with less promising or ambiguous prospect can also be predicted.

Abstract

The “SRG” Oil Field is located in the South Sumatra basin, and the oil produced is classified as heavy oil and generally water-oil emulsion occurs. As a result of the formation of this emulsion which will cause corrosion of equipment in the field. The samples that have been taken in the field are then investigated in the laboratory of PT Farca Risa Sejahtera. First, perform BS&W testing on GS-belimbing and GS-11 oil samples to determine the water content and deposits present in the oil. The second is to determine the ratio of the amount of oil and formation water to be used in subsequent tests. The third selection of demulsifiers for formulation materials is based on the ability of water drop, clear water and interface. The four demulsifier formulations combine the demulsifiers that pass the selection into 5 formulas with the hope of uniting the advantages and covering each other’s shortcomings of each demulsifier that passes the selection. The fifth test is overtreated to determine the appropriate dose for the use of a predetermined demulsifier formula. Emulsion sample testing was also carried out on CGS oil samples (GS-belimbing oil and GS-11) plus the oil present in the pits. The six BS&W tests after using the new formula. GSbelimbing has a production rate of ±22,000 BFPD with a water cut value obtained from the separator test in the field and validated by the BS&W test in the laboratory of ±92%, the value of oil production in GS Belimbing is ±1760 BOPD. While the GS-11 has a production rate of ±33,000 BFPD with a water cut value of ±91%, the value of oil production in GS 11 is ±2970 BOPD. While the CGS has a fluid production rate of ± 58,000 BFPD with a water cut of ± 90%, the value of oil production at the CGS is ± 5800 BOPD. Formula code H5 with a composition of 10% (F13; water drop) plus 10% (1030; interface) and 80% (F-16; clear water) which was selected for GS-belimbing. The formula with code A1 which has a composition of 80% F-8 plus 10% 1030 and 10% F-16 was chosen for the GS-11. For the CGS, the S5 formula is 10% (F-16 clear water) plus 10% (1030; interface) and 80% (F-8; water drop). The results of the BS&W test after the new formula showed that there was no water in the oil in the centrifuge tube and it was stated that the BS&W value was close to 0%. There are 3 demulsifier products from the formulation, namely HAS-1 for GS-belimbing, HAS-2 for GS-11, and HAS-3 for CGS plus pit. The amount of HAS-3 demulsifier that needs to be injected into the CGS is 7.31 gallons per day (GPD). The number of HAS-1 demulsifier injected into GS Belimbing was 2.22 GPD, while the number of HAS-2 demulsifier injected into GS-11 was 3.74 GPD
