Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine how the implementation of TPACK-based FGDs can improve students' creative thinking skills. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The subjects of this research were 32 students from class IX D and 1 Pancasila education teacher. The saturated sampling technique used in this study, meaning all students (32 students) were sampled. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used an interactive model, namely data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and verification. The results of the study indicate that TPACK-based focus group discussion learning can improve students' creative thinking skills in Pancasila education by integrating technology (online collaborative platforms), pedagogy (focus group discussions), and Pancasila content (tolerance on social media) to create meaningful learning experiences. Through this model, students can be encouraged to actively analyze problems, solve problems creatively, and interact with Pancasila materials using digital tools, which ultimately improves students' creativity skills. The implication is that teachers need to master the integration of technology in learning, schools must provide support for facilities and training, and the curriculum needs to be designed to be more contextual and innovative. Abstract

Mathematics learning is often considered complex by students, leading to low learning outcomes due to limited understanding of the material and a lack of active engagement. This study aims to analyze various studies on the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach assisted by learning media on students' mathematics learning outcomes in the 2020-2025 period. The research method is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data collection was conducted using the Publish or Perish software through the application of the PRISMA protocol. A total of 13 articles have met the inclusion criteria from the initial 500 articles obtained. The results show that this approach significantly improves students' mathematics learning outcomes. Students who receive learning tailored to their level of understanding through interactive media show higher improvements in understanding basic mathematical concepts compared to students who follow conventional learning. TaRL allows teachers to group students based on their actual ability level, rather than by age class, so that learning interventions are more focused and effective. In conclusion, the TaRL approach has shown a positive impact in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes through the assistance of learning media. This study provides in-depth insights for teachers regarding the need to design learning by considering student abilities and utilizing learning media appropriately to optimize learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of technology-enhanced learning (TEL) in improving students’ statistical graph interpretation skills through a rigorous Item Response Theory (IRT) analysis. Employing a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control group design, the research involved 120 undergraduate students from four classes, equally divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental groups received TEL-based instruction featuring interactive graph visualizations and automated feedback, while the control groups followed conventional lectures and exercises over seven sessions. Data were collected using a 60-item multiple-choice test covering bar charts, histograms, boxplots, and scatterplots, which was content-validated by experts and trialed for clarity, yielding high reliability (Cronbach’s α = 0.833). Construct validity was ensured through unidimensionality and invariance testing, confirmed by eigenvalue and DETECT analysis. Data analysis applied IRT to calibrate item parameters discrimination (a), difficulty (b), and guessing (c) and to estimate students’ latent abilities (θ). Model comparison identified the 3PL model as the best fit, capturing both difficulty variation and guessing behavior. Calibration results showed that most items exhibited satisfactory psychometric quality, supporting the robustness of the instrument. Findings revealed that TEL groups achieved a nearly one-logit gain in ability from pretest to posttest, significantly higher than the minimal improvement observed in the control groups, as confirmed by independent t-tests and normalized gain analysis. These results indicate that TEL substantially strengthens students’ ability to interpret statistical graphs while demonstrating the diagnostic value of IRT in evaluating both item quality and learning effectiveness.
