Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of students' attitudes towards anti-corruption and deradicalization education based on the principle of amar ma'ruf nahi munkar. Using a mixed methods approach with an explanatory sequential design, this study begins with a quantitative method to measure the relationship between students' attitudes and anti-corruption and deradicalization education through the Spearman correlation test, which is continued with a qualitative method to explore students' attitudes more deeply through interviews and observations. The results of the quantitative analysis show that there is no significant relationship between students' attitudes towards anti-corruption and deradicalization education (sig. = 0.495 > 0.05) with a very weak negative correlation value (-0.143). This finding indicates that changes in students' attitudes do not have a significant effect on the effectiveness of anti-corruption and deradicalization education. However, the results of the interviews showed that students have a good conceptual understanding of amar ma'ruf nahi munkar, but its application in supporting anti-corruption and deradicalization education is still influenced by social and cultural factors. Therefore, a more contextual and experience-based approach in anti-corruption and deradicalization education is needed so that students are more proactive in implementing the principles of amar ma'ruf nahi munkar in everyday life.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the correlation between students' understanding of Islamic legal ethics with anti-corruption and deradicalization education. Using a mixed methods approach with explanatory sequential design, this study combines quantitative analysis using the Spearman correlation test and qualitative analysis through interviews and observations. The results of the study indicate that there is no significant relationship between understanding of Islamic legal ethics with anti-corruption and deradicalization education, as indicated by a significance value of 0.827 (> 0.05) and a correlation coefficient of -0.032 which describes a very weak and negative relationship. This finding supports Alatas' opinion (2006) that understanding ethics and morals is not always directly proportional to real actions in fighting corruption and radicalism. Therefore, it is recommended that anti-corruption and deradicalization education prioritize an applicative approach based on experience and real case studies to increase its effectiveness. Therefore, educational institutions are expected to be able to design a more integrative and multidimensional curriculum to achieve more optimal results in anti-corruption and deradicalization learning.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays a crucial role in shaping students' moral and religious understanding. However, the extent to which external demographic factors, such as gender and school background, influence PAI learning outcomes remains debatable. This study aims to analyze the impact of gender and school background on students' PAI learning outcomes. A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing descriptive statistical analysis and Two-Way ANOVA to examine significant differences based on the studied variables. The findings indicate that neither gender nor school background significantly affects students' PAI learning outcomes. The normality test confirmed that the data followed a normal distribution, while the homogeneity test showed that the data did not have equal variance. The Two-Way ANOVA results further revealed no significant interaction effect between gender and school background on learning outcomes. These results suggest that internal factors, such as teaching methods and student engagement, have a more substantial influence on PAI learning effectiveness than demographic variables. Therefore, educators should focus on developing innovative and adaptive learning strategies to enhance PAI learning outcomes, rather than relying on external factors like gender or school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of anti-corruption and de-radicalisation education on student character building, especially related to integrity and the potential for apathy. A qualitative method with in-depth interviews was used to explore the perspectives of students who have participated in these programmes. The results showed that although anti-corruption education and de-radicalisation increased students' awareness of the importance of integrity and the dangers of corruption, there were indications of the potential for apathy due to inconsistencies between the values taught and the reality faced. Differences in perceptions based on major background and personal experience also affect the effectiveness of the programme. Therefore, this research emphasises the need for a more contextual, participatory and sustainable approach in the implementation of anti-corruption and de-radicalisation education to maximise its impact in shaping a generation with integrity. By continuously improving the quality and effectiveness of anti-corruption and de-radicalisation education, we can build a more just, inclusive and prosperous future for future generations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of using manipulative media on students' understanding of fraction operations at MIS Muslimin Ciririp. A quantitative method with an explanatory approach was employed, involving 28 students selected through simple random sampling. The instruments used were questionnaires and tests. Data analysis included the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, linearity test, as well as correlation and regression tests using SPSS version 26. The normality test results showed that the data were normally distributed, with significance values for manipulative media and fraction operation understanding of 0.064 and 0.200, respectively. The correlation test revealed a very strong relationship, with a correlation coefficient of 0.750, indicating a significant correlation between the use of manipulative media and students' understanding. The linear regression test produced the equation Y=47.186+0.479X, with a determination coefficient (R²) of 56.2%. This indicates that 56.2% of students' understanding of fraction operations is influenced by manipulative media, while the remaining 43.8% is influenced by other factors. This study confirms that the use of manipulative media significantly enhances students' understanding of fraction operations. These findings provide valuable insights for developing effective mathematics teaching strategies in elementary schools

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate whether numerical results from IRE exams can accurately reflect students' overall spiritual comprehension. Through both quantitative and qualitative analysis, the study finds that relying solely on test scores is insufficient to assess students’ faith and spiritual insight. Significant differences in learning outcomes between schools suggest that variations in teaching methods and assessment systems contribute to these disparities. Interviews with students and teachers reveal that IRE exams, which tend to emphasize memorization, fall short in uncovering deeper understanding of religious values. In contrast, assessment approaches that are more relevant to everyday life, encourage reflection, utilize narrative methods, and observe student behavior are perceived as more effective. Therefore, an ideal model for assessing Islamic Religious Education should integrate both cognitive evaluation and spiritual reflection through a comprehensive, holistic approach. By combining written assessments with contextual inquiry, personal reflection, and behavioral observation, educators can gain a more accurate and authentic picture of students’ religious understanding. Such a multifaceted evaluation system not only enhances the relevance of PAI but also supports the formation of students who genuinely embody Islamic values in their daily lives.
