Abstract

Pandemic Covid-19 is a phenomenon that has a very important impact on the order of life. Education is one of the fields that has felt the impact of the pandemicCovid-19 in Indonesia. Based on a circular relating to policies for implementing education during the emergency deployment period Covid-19 which has the impact of changing normal learning activities to distance learning. A program that is unusual to implement is certainly a program that needs to be analyzed regarding the implementation of the program. Primary level schools in Serang City are one of the objects that need to be explored regarding the implementation of distance learning. The aim of this research is to find out how online learning was implemented during the pandemic Covid-19 in elementary schools throughout the city of Serang. The method used is an evaluative qualitative research method using an evaluation model responsive evaluative according to Robert Stake's. Data collection techniques used include interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that the implementation of online learning during the pandemic Covid-19 in elementary schools throughout the city of Serang is said to be quite conducive. This is of course adjusted to the conditions of each school. Facts on the ground show that the implementation of online learning is also influenced by internal and external factors.

Abstract

Mastering vocabulary could be one of the keys to be successful in learning English. Teaching by using a certain game could be an interesting way to increase students’ vocabulary. The aim of this study is to create a scrabble wall to help students improve their vocabulary. This study employed the research and development method, as well as the ADDIE Model's theory, which is divided into five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Interviews, exams, and expert validation checklists were used as study instruments. This study used 25 students as a sample of product implementation among eleventh-grade students of SMA Putra Juang Cianjur. Data were gathered from student interviews, test results (Pre-test and Post-test), teacher replies, and expert validation results. The data analysis revealed that the product was both good and valid. The scrabble wall can be used as a means to teach English, particularly vocabulary. The scrabble wall is helpful for students as well. It may be concluded that the use of scrabble wall can enhance students’ vocabulary mastery.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ reading comprehension skills using the text summarization technique in the 5th grade of SDN Kasunyatan. The subjects of this classroom action research (CAR) involved forty students. The data was collected using learning observation, reading comprehension tests, and documentation. The analysis of these data uses both qualitative and quantitative descriptive approaches. This study uses a text summarization technique as an action. The text summarization technique has four syntaxes. First is monitoring, which means that students read the text until they understand the reading material. Next is trimming down to take keywords from each paragraph, then combining these keywords and creating mind mapping. The last is calling; it means that students rewrite all things they remember about the reading text. This research shows that the text summarization techniques improved students’ reading comprehension skills, indicating an increase for each indicator.

Abstract

The integration of technology in education, especially cognitive technology, is important to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the learning assessment and evaluation process. Cognitive technology, which combines artificial intelligence and machine learning, offers new possibilities for adapting and personalizing learning experiences. However, its use in learning assessment is still limited and requires further investigation to identify its effectiveness. This research aims to analyze and evaluate the role of cognitive technology in learning assessment and evaluation. The main objective is to determine the extent to which this technology can improve the accuracy and relevance of feedback provided to students and explore the potential for improving learning outcomes through adapting learning content based on assessment data. This research uses quantitative methods with an experimental design. The research sample involved students at a university who used a cognitive technology-based assessment system during one academic semester. The results show that using cognitive technology in assessment can improve accuracy in diagnosing learning weaknesses and provide more personalized and timely feedback. Additionally, students who took assessments with cognitive technology showed greater improvements in academic achievement compared to a control group that did not use similar technology. This research concludes that integrating cognitive technology in learning assessment and evaluation offers great potential to improve the educational process by providing more relevant and personalized feedback. This technology supports teachers in identifying individual learning needs and helps students understand their weaknesses, facilitating more effective and efficient learning. Abstract

Background. Quantum computing is a technology that has great potential to revolutionize various scientific disciplines with its extraordinary computing capabilities. Multiple fields, such as cryptography, optimization, and complex simulation, have begun to explore quantum computing applications. However, a deep understanding of how these technologies can be used effectively in cross-disciplinary informatics still needs to be improved. Purpose. This research aims to develop a theoretical framework that explains the role of quantum computing in advancing interdisciplinary informatics. The main focus is to identify potential applications and challenges faced in applying this technology in various fields and evaluate its impact on the development of science and technology. Method. This research uses a qualitative approach, a literature review, and theoretical analysis methods. Data were collected from various academic sources, including journals, books, and conferences relevant to quantum computing and interdisciplinary informatics. Analysis was conducted to identify patterns, themes, and relationships between quantum computing and cross-disciplinary applications. Results. The research results show that quantum computing has the potential to solve complex computational problems in various fields, including cryptography, optimization, and physical simulation. Quantum computing can provide more efficient and faster solutions than classical computing. However, the research also identified several significant challenges, such as the need for quantum-specific algorithms and sophisticated technological infrastructure. Conclusion. Quantum computing is essential in advancing interdisciplinary informatics by providing superior computing capabilities. The theoretical framework developed in this research can be used to further study and develop quantum computing applications in various fields. The identified challenges require special attention to ensure effective and efficient implementation of this technology.

Abstract

The background of this research is the lack of interactive learning media that can stimulate critical thinking learning, and the difficulty of teachers in developing IT-based learning media. The research objective was to determine the development and feasibility procedures of Canva-based animated video media to improve critical thinking skills in science lessons. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE research model, which consists of 5 stages, namely: (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, and (5) Evaluation. Based on the steps above, the researchers produced a product in the form of an animated video based on Canva in natural science lessons on the human digestive system. From the data obtained after the feasibility test results were validated by media experts and material experts with an overall validator score of 93.74% in the "very feasible" category. Furthermore, the results of the pre-test and post-test showed an increase of 38.48, which means that the designed media has an effect on student learning outcomes. Then increase students critical thinking skills with a result of 0.8 with "high" category. So, it can be concluded that Canva-based animated video media is feasible to use and can improve critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The implementation of assessment in learning is often suboptimal, particularly in addressing the affective, cognitive, and psychomotor domains comprehensively. Teachers tend to overlook the affective and psychomotor domains, resulting in students demonstrating low competencies in these areas. This study aims to analyze the implementation of authentic assessment to improve student learning outcomes at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Khairiyah Badamusalam. The method employed was Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data was collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The findings reveal that the planning of authentic assessment achieved a score of 81.2%, the implementation of authentic assessment scored 84.4%, and the student questionnaire results from grade IX indicated a score of 80.2%, all classified as good. Student learning outcomes improved from an average score of 78.4 in cycle I to 85.3 in cycle II, with an increase of 6.9 points. This demonstrates the effectiveness of authentic assessment in enhancing learning outcomes from a moderate to a good category.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low interest of students in learning the material 'The Word of Invitation and the Word of Refusal', which indicates the need for a method that can be used to improve the learning process. The Word of Invitation and the Word of Refusal' which indicates the need for a more effective learning method. This study aims to analyze the Effect of Canva-based interactive animation media on the interest of 2nd-grade students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Masarratul Muta'allimin in Banten Province. A quasi-experimental design involved 56 students divided into experimental and control groups. Student interest data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and t-tests. The t-test results indicated a significant difference between the two groups, with a t value of -27.117 (p = 0.000) and an average difference of 19.036. These results suggest that Canva-based interactive media significantly enhances students' interest in learning compared to conventional methods. Canva-based interactive media can effectively increase student engagement. Recommendations for educational practice include integrating interactive media into classroom learning to boost student involvement. Further research is recommended to explore the long-term impact of this media on students' academic performance.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan usaha sadar untuk mewujudkan sesuatu pewarisan budaya dari satu generasi kepada genarasi yang lainnya. Tujuan dari penulisan jurnal ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana analisis butir instrumen penilaian tes. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif kajian pustaka dimana dalam studi ini peneliti akan mencari sejumlah referensi baik dari buku, majalah, maupun internet untuk kemudian dikelompokkan mana data yang bersifat primer dan sekunder. Hasilnya yaitu yang pertama instrumen standar adalah alat evaluasi yang telah dikembangkan, diuji, dan terverifikasi secara sistematis untuk memastikan kualitas, keakuratan, serta keandalannya dalam mengukur kemampuan atau kompetensi peserta didik. Yang kedua Instrumen non standar dalam konteks pendidikan merujuk pada alat atau metode yang digunakan untuk mengukur atau menilai kemampuan siswa yang tidak mengikuti prosedur atau format yang sudah distandarisasi oleh lembaga atau badan tertentu. Yang ketiga analisis kualitatif butir instrumen bertujuan untuk memeriksa kualitas dan kesesuaian soal dalam mengukur kompetensi yang diinginkan. Yang keempat tingkat kesukaran dinyatakan dengan persentase siswa yang menjawab soal dengan benar. Yang kelima daya pembeda soal adalah kemampuan memisahkan siswa pandai dan siswa kurang pandai.
