Abstract

The aim of this study was to describe and analyze the characteristics and potency of micro-small middle enterprises (UMKM) and to understand its costing potential by formal finance institution (banking) in border area of West Kalimantan. This border-site research determined two regencies, Kabupaten Sanggau (Entikong) and Kabupaten Sambas (Sajingan Besar). Some data used was primary one (sixty samples) that was obtained through field research and some questionaries and in-depth interview as well as secondary data. The findings indicated that the dominant economic activities performed in the border of Entikong and Sajingan Besar was trading and services, in which inhabitants and foreign workers as marketing coverage, as well as Serawak people as main target market. The infrastructure condition in this area was relatively bad and didn't have representative market yet. Another finding was the lack share and unavailability of fund and money sources with accessible return and the lack existence of formal financial supplier (capital investors) for small-middle enterprises. The dominant capital investors in this border area was Credit Union, without any banking existed.

Abstract

Indonesia is a Muslim-majority country with a large market potential and a Muslim population of 85 percent. However, the number of Sharia fintech companies is still far behind compared to conventional fintech. The government in Indonesia is focusing on the halal economic and financial industry, and the Sharia P2P lending business model is being explored to increase the sustainable growth of MSME financing in the country. This research, qualitative and quantitative, uses the Analytic Network Process (ANP) method to transform primary data from in-depth interviews with experts and practitioners. According to the findings, a Sharia P2P lending business model based on the fintech ecosystem can increase long-term MSME financing by combining regulatory factors, community-based financing products, and the major ecosystem network. A business model that complies with Sharia principles and considers the needs of MSMEs is crucial for ensuring sustainability in financing. It entails developing mechanisms that increase access to MSMEs while adhering to Sharia principles, such as sustainable community-based financing products and Sharia-compliant risk adjustments.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve the mastery of long service techniques in badminton through the This study aims to provide a detailed analysis of the approach run and take-off techniques in the long jump among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Badar. Employing a quantitative descriptive methodology, the research utilized direct skill tests and systematic observation to gather data from a purposive sample of 20 students. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS version 20.0, with descriptive statistics revealing the central tendencies and frequency distributions of the performance scores. The findings indicate that the students' proficiency in both the approach and take-off techniques falls within a moderate category. Consequently, the overall performance in the long jump, measured by the distance achieved, was also classified as moderate. These results underscore a significant gap in the students' mastery of fundamental biomechanical principles essential for a successful jump. The study concludes by proposing targeted recommendations for Physical Education (PE) teachers and curriculum developers. These include the integration of more structured, technique-focused training regimens, the adoption of varied teaching methods to enhance student engagement and understanding, and the provision of adequate facilities to support effective skill acquisition. This research contributes to the broader effort of improving athletic pedagogy in the Indonesian junior high school context.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the cognitive load of students in chemistry learning and categorize the results based on grade levels. The research was conducted in the form of a survey using a quantitative approach during the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The sample was taken using simple random sampling technique and consisted of 600 students from 10 public high schools and 5 private high schools from DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java, and South Sumatra Province. The instrument used was a cognitive load questionnaire to measure two aspects of cognitive load: mental load and mental effort. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and one-way ANOVA test. The findings indicate that the overall cognitive load of students is in the moderate category (M = 23.29), suggesting that most students can process the learning materials. Mental load (M = 2.92) was found to be slightly higher than mental effort (M = 2.90), implying that students experience greater cognitive demands in understanding concepts than in performing tasks. Grade X students showed the highest cognitive load, likely due to their novice-level understanding of abstract chemical concepts. The results also highlight that cognitive load can be managed and maintained at a moderate level through appropriate instructional strategies and supportive learning environments.
