Abstract

One important sector in a regional economy is tourism because it can create new jobs, increase people's income and support local development. The Mentawai Islands district has extraordinary tourism potential. However, currently tourism promotion and information in this district is still limited and inadequate. The rapid development of information and communication technology provides great opportunities to expand the reach of tourism promotion and information through tourist websites. So that users can easily access the tourist information presented, a practical and user friendly website interface is needed according to user needs. The method used to design the interface for this tourist website is the design thinking method. Testing uses in-depth interview and usability testing methods. The interface testing results for each task obtained a mean value above 5.5. From the results of this testing, the interface design for the Mentawai Islands Regency tourism website was declared to have been passed or passed and was deemed to be practical and user friendly according to user needs.   Salah satu sektor penting dalam perekonomian suatu daerah adalah pariwisata karena dapat menciptakan lapangan kerja baru, meningkatkan pemasukan masyarakat, dan mendukung pembangunan lokal. Kabupaten kepulauan mentawai memiliki potensi wisata yang luar biasa. Namun, saat ini promosi dan  informasi wisata di Kabupaten ini masih terbatas dan belum memadai. Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang pesat memberi peluang besar dalam memperluas jangkauan promosi dan informasi pariwisata melalui website wisata. Agar pengguna dapat dengan mudah mengakses informasi wisata yang disajikan, dibutuhkan antarmuka website yang praktis dan user friendly sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna. Metode yang digunakan untuk perancangan antarmuka website wisata ini yaitu metode design thinking. Testing menggunakan metode in-depth interview dan usability testing. Hasil testing antarmuka dari setiap task mendapatkan nilai mean diatas 5,5. Dari hasil testing tersebut maka rancangan antarmuka website wisata Kabupaten Kepulauan Mentawai dinyatakan sudah passed atau lolos dan dinilai sudah praktis, dan user friendly sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna.

Abstract

Background: A low-purine diet is one of the treatments that can be carried out by elderly who suffer from gout to control their uric acid levels. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of low purine diet education on the knowledge level of elderly with gout. Methods: This research used a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group approach. This research was carried out on May 16th – 20th 2024 in the Harapan Raya Health Center working area, Pekanbaru City with a total sample of 34 respondents selected based on inclusion criteria using purposive sampling technique. The analysis used is univariate and bivariate analysis with the Wilcoxon test and Mann-Whitney test. This research used a low-purine diet knowledge questionnaire and a flip sheet containing material about a low-purine diet. Result: There is an increase on knowledge in the experimental group by 29% with the majority of respondents having a level of knowledge in the good category of 47.1% after being given low-purine diet education. Statistical tests obtained the results of the p value (0.000) < α (0.05) which means that there is an increase in knowledge after the intervention. Conclusion: Low-purine diet education is effective on the knowledge of elderly suffering from gout.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ability to recognize numbers in early childhood and analyze the effect of the use of plasticine media on the improvement of these abilities. Early childhood is at a stage of cognitive development that requires concrete and interactive experiences in learning, so plasticine media is chosen as a tool to introduce numbers through play activities. The research method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design. Data were collected through observation and tests of the ability to recognize numbers before and after treatment. The results of the study show that the initial ability to recognize numbers in early childhood is at the basic level, namely being able to recognize the numbers 1-5. After the use of plasticine media, there was a significant improvement in the ability to recognize numbers, including understanding shapes, sequences, and number concepts. Children are more motivated and actively involved in learning. The conclusion is that plasticine media is effective in improving children's ability to recognize numbers and provide a concrete, fun learning experience according to the characteristics of early childhood development.

Abstract

In Indonesia, English is the first foreign language that is studied as a compulsory subject from junior high school to university. English is a very basic and important requirement in Indonesia. This is evident in the development of the current education system, English has been included as one of the subjects tested in the national exam. Based on the observations of class IX students at SMP Negeri Sukadana, in preparation for the national exam, many students still had difficulty answering English questions: reading skills. One of the causal factors of these student problems is the lack of practice by applying strategies to answer questions and do not have the skills to easily predict questions that will appear during the national exam. In addition, the lack of interest in learning English is also a major factor in learning English. Based on the results of the community service activities, it was shown that class IX students at SMP Negeri Sukadana were motivated so that they could optimize their abilities and skills in answering English questions: reading skills. Thus it can be concluded that in this service program students have gained experience in implementing strategies for quick predictions in identifying the right answers.

Abstract

Background: Dengue fever is an endemic diseases caused by the dengue virus which is transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito. Knowledge have a crucial role in preventing and controlling dengue fever. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of health education using the buzz group discussion method in increasing community understanding of dengue Methods: Quantitative research with quasi experimental design pre-test and post-test with Non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest. This study was conducted in Sidomulyo Timur with a total sample of 32 respondents chosen based on inclusion criteria using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used is Wilcoxon test and Man-Whitney test. Results: There was an increase knowledge in the experimental group by 26.56%, with a good level of knowledge of 81.3% after being given health education by the buzz group method. Statistical tests obtained the results of the p value (0.000) < ? (0.05). Which means there is an increase in knowledge after the intervention. Conclusion: Health education using the buzz group method about dengue fever is effective in increasing community knowledge.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh sistem perpajakan dan sanksi perpajakan terhadap kepatuhan wajib pajak orang pribadi di PT Glico Manufacturing Indoneisa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah wajib pajak orang pribadi yang bekerja di PT Glico Manufacturing Indoneisa sebanyak 312 orang. Metode pengambilan sampel yaitu simpel random sampling sebanyak 150 orang. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis regresi linear berganda dengan bantuan software IBM SPSS 20. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Sistem Perpajakan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepatuhan Wajib Pajak Orang Pribadi di PT Glico Manufacturing Indonesia, (2) Sanksi Perpajakan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepatuhan Wajib Pajak Orang Pribadi di PT Glico Manufacturing Indoneisa. (3) Sistem Perpajakan dan Sanksi Perpajakan secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kepatuhan Wajib Pajak Orang Pribadi di PT Glico Manufacturing Indonesia.

Abstract

Character education is an essential aspect of Islam in shaping individuals with noble morals. Hadith, especially those compiled in Arbain an-Nawawi, contains many moral values that can be applied in daily life. This study aims to identify moral values in Arbain an-Nawawi, analyze how to implement them in education, and examine the challenges and solutions in their application. This research uses content analysis to examine the hadiths in Arbain an-Nawawi.The findings reveal that the moral values in these hadiths fall into three main categories: (1) Morals toward Allah, such as sincerity (ikhlas) and trust in God (tawakal); (2) Morals toward others, such as honesty and compassion; and (3) Morals toward oneself, such as self-reflection and anger management. These values can be taught through exemplary behavior, habituation, self-reflection, and storytelling. However, there are several challenges in implementing hadith-based character education, such as a lack of understanding among educators regarding hadith, an education system that prioritizes academics over character development, and the influence of modern culture and technology. To address these challenges, teacher training, the strengthening of character-based curricula, and the use of technology as a learning medium are necessary. This study is expected to provide insights for the educational sector in strengthening students’ character based on Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Along with the rapid advancement of digital technology, the practice of zakat payment has also evolved, such as by making non-cash zakat payments online. Online zakat payment offers the potential to reach zakat givers and recipients more broadly, as well as to increase efficiency in the collection and distribution of zakat funds through a digital system. However, this online zakat payment system still raises debates among the public regarding the validity of its implementation and the law, which is considered unclear because the method was not found in the time of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Therefore, this research was conducted to examine the concept, Islamic legal review, advantages and disadvantages, as well as challenges and solutions in the application of the online non-cash zakat payment system from the perspective of Islamic law. This research uses normative legal methods in qualitative form and by conducting a literature study of literature or library materials. The findings of this research show that online non-cash zakat payments are sharia-acceptable as long as they fulfill the pillars and conditions of zakat and are carried out by official amil zakat institutions or platforms affiliated with amil zakat institutions.

Abstract

Determining the scale of priorities in Islamic jurisprudence is an important method in decision-making in accordance with the principles of Islamic law. This principle is based on the rules of Islamic jurisprudence such as prioritizing obligatory obligations, prioritizing public interest, and preventing damage (dar'u al-mafāsid), which serve to balance individual needs and community interests. In this context, Islamic jurisprudence facilitates a systematic and proportional approach to various life problems. These principles emphasize that in order to achieve maqashid al-shariah (the goals of Islamic law), priority must be given to matters that are urgent, primary, and have the greatest and most sustainable benefits. Thus, the scale of priorities becomes an important instrument in ensuring justice, interest, and continuity in policy-making and actions. Understanding and applying these rules of Islamic jurisprudence enable Muslims to make decisions that are appropriate, balanced, and contextual, according to the situations and conditions faced. This study emphasizes the importance of the concept of the scale of priorities as a normative basis in realizing decisions that are just and beneficial for all people.

Abstract

Environmental crises such as climate change, ecosystem degradation, and pollution have prompted countries to formulate environmental policies aimed at preserving environmental sustainability. However, the effectiveness of these policies is often questioned, particularly in their implementation. This article aims to evaluate the impacts of environmental policies implemented over the past decade on biodiversity, air quality, and waste management, as well as to identify implementation barriers and provide recommendations for policy improvement. The study employs a literature review method by analyzing various scientific sources, policy reports, and related documents. The evaluation results indicate that economic incentive-based policies, such as carbon taxes and renewable energy subsidies, tend to be more effective in reducing emissions and promoting clean energy adoption. Nevertheless, policy implementation frequently faces obstacles including lack of political support, limited resources, public resistance, and weak inter-sectoral coordination. Improvement strategies are needed, including enhanced cross-sector collaboration, strengthened data and information systems, and public education to support the success of sustainable environmental policies.
