The purpose of this study was to find out the best herbal supplement dose added to artificial diet on growth and survival of catfish larvae (Pangasius hypophthalmus) that are kept for 40 days in an aquarium container size of 30x30x30 cm as many as 12 pieces, filled with water as much as 15 liters/container, densely stocked 2 fish/liter with a water recirculation system.with a water recirculation system. The method used in this study was the experimental method that uses one-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of four treatments with three replications. The treatments in this study were P1 (0 ml / 100 gr artificial feed) significantly different from P2 treatment (2.5 ml / 100 gr artificial feed), P3 (5 ml / 100 gr artificial feed) and P4 (7.5 ml /100 gr artificial feed). The best growth research results was obtained in the treatment of P4 (7.5ml / 100g of feed) with an average growth of absolute weight 0.56 grams, growth of absolute length 3.23 cm, specific growth rate of 11.32% /day,while the best treatment for survival was obtained at P2 treatment (2.5 ml /100g of feed) namely 94.44%.Water quality during the study was temperature ranging from 26-28.80C, pH 6 and DO of 3.5-4.52 ppm.  Keywords : Herbal Supplements, Diet, Catfish Larvae (Pangasius hypopthalmus), Growth, Survival Rate

AbstractThis research was conducted in September- October 2019 at the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty Riau University, Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to determine the best dose of cow biourin in increasing the growth rate and biomass production of Spirulina sp.. The method used in this research was experimental using Completely Random Design (CRD) one factor with four treatments and repeated three times. The treatments used was  Walne 1ml/L  (Control) , Biourin-1,5 ml/L , Biourin-3,5 ml/L and Biourin-5,5 ml/L. Cultivation was carried out for nine days, using biurin and Walne . The results showed that the treatment of the of  cow biourin with  differences dose affected the population density and specific growth rate. Biourin-5,5 ml/L gave the best results with a cell density of 337,5 x 104 cells / ml and a specific growth rate of 0,76214/ day with peak growth occurring on the day seven. Water quality parameters during the study were optimal for the growth of Spirulina sp.with a water temperature of 29-33 0C, pH 7-8.9 and dissolved oxygen 8-8.5 mg / l. Keywords: Biourin, Spirulina sp, Dose.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was conducted from January to February 2019 at the Laboratory of Fish Hatchery and Breeding at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau. This study aims to determine the viterna soaking dose in enriching water lice. The method used is a one-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and three treatments with three replications. The treatment was carried out 3 replications to obtain 12 experimental units. The treatment in this study was D0 = Dose 0 (Control), D40 = 5 hours with a dose of 40 ml / l, D50 = 5 hours with a dose of 50 ml / l and D60 = 5 hours with a dose of 60 ml / l. The results showed that Daphnia sp enrichment had a significant effect (P <0.05) on the growth of koi fish larvae, namely the dose of viterna 50 ml / l of water, resulting in absolute weight growth of 0.43 g, specific growth rate of 6.13% / day, absolute length growth of 2.98 cm, highest survival at a dose of 40 ml / l which is equal to 91.67% and the highest color quality at a dose of 50 ml / l. The water quality parameter values obtained during the study showed a good range for the growth of koi fish larvae, namely temperatures ranging from 27.0 to 31ºC and pH 5-6.5 Keywords :Water fleas, Viterna, Growth, Survival, cyprinus carpio

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research was to determine the effect of stocking density and feeding rate on growth and survival rate of common snakehead larvae. This research was conducted from Februari-April 2020 at Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty Riau University. The Method used was a Factorial Completely Randomized Design with two factors, the first was stocking density with three levels namely 3 larvae/L (S3), 5 larvae/L (S5) and 7 larvae/L (S7). While the second factor was feeding rate 60% (F60) and 80% (F80) of biomass. To minimize errors, each level of treatment was repeated 3 times. The result showed that stocking density and feeding rate were significant on absolute weight, absolute length, and survival rate. The treatment S3F80 (3 larvae/L and feeding rate 80% of biomass weight) were significant (P<0,05) with an absolute weight of 0,97 g, absolute length 4,80 cm, and survival rate 92,66 %. The water quality parameters during research was in optimal range temperature 26,5-26,9°C, pH 5,7-6 and dissolved oxygen 3,16-3,64 mg/l.Keywords : Stocking denstity, Feeding Rate, Growth and Survival rate
