Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of relaxation techniques in reducing parenting stress among Generation Z mothers at Hamzanwadi Early Childhood School. The research design used was quantitative with a pre-experimental one group pretest–posttest approach. The study subjects involved 50 Gen Z mothers who have children attending Hamzanwadi Kindergarten. This study applied a total sampling (census) technique, whereby the entire population was included as the research sample. Parenting stress was measured using a Likert-scale questionnaire instrument that has been tested for validity and reliability. The research intervention was the provision of relaxation techniques adapted from the breathing relaxation and progressive muscle relaxation approach, which was implemented in a structured manner over four sessions. The results of descriptive statistical analysis showed a significant decrease in parenting stress levels after the relaxation intervention. The average stress score in the pretest was 76.62 (SD = 6.46), while the average stress score in the posttest was 61.20 (SD = 7.38), with a decrease in the average stress score reaching 15.42 points. These findings indicate that relaxation techniques are effective in reducing parenting stress among Gen Z mothers in the early childhood school environment. The results of this study reinforce the urgency of implementing relaxation techniques as a well-being-based counseling intervention strategy for caregivers in childcare institutions and contribute to the development of parent mental health support services at the early childhood education level in local communities.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of using interactive media on the learning interest of fourth-grade students in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS), specifically on the topic of states of matter and their changes, at SD Negeri 015 Samarinda Ulu. The research problem was based on students’ low learning interest, which was indicated by limited active involvement during the learning process and a tendency for students to become easily bored when conventional teaching methods were applied. This study employed a quasi-experimental method using a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of 40 fourth-grade students, divided into an experimental class and a control class, each comprising 20 students. The research instrument was a learning interest questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Descriptive analysis results showed that the average learning interest of students in the experimental class using animated interactive media reached 65%, while the control class achieved only 50%. Indicator-based analysis revealed that the experimental class experienced improvements in students’ enjoyment, engagement, interest, and attention. The normality test results indicated that the data were normally distributed, and the homogeneity of variance test showed that both sample groups had equal variances. Furthermore, hypothesis testing using an independent samples t-test yielded a significance value of 0.015 (< 0.05), indicating a statistically significant effect. It can be concluded that the use of animated interactive media has a significant effect on increasing fourth-grade students’ learning interest in IPAS, particularly in the aspects of enjoyment, interest, engagement, and attention. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers utilize animated interactive media as an alternative instructional tool, especially for abstract subject matter, to enhance students’ learning interest.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of education and training on employee performance and evaluates the moderating role of competency in the Islamic banking sector in the digital era. A quantitative approach was employed, with data collected through validated and reliable questionnaires from 100 employees of Bank Muamalat Indonesia Makassar. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results indicate that education and training have positive and significant effects on employee performance, with training demonstrating a stronger influence. These findings support Human Capital Theory, which emphasizes education and training as strategic investments to enhance productivity and professional capability. However, competency was not found to moderate the relationships between education, training, and performance, suggesting that individual competency does not necessarily strengthen the effectiveness of human capital investments. This finding highlights the importance of organizational systems and contextual alignment in optimizing human resource development. The study recommends that Islamic banking institutions implement structured education and value-based training to support sustainable performance. Future research is encouraged to involve broader samples across Islamic banking institutions, apply mixed-method approaches, and incorporate contextual factors such as religiosity or workplace spirituality to provide a more comprehensive understanding of employee development effectiveness.
