Abstract

The internalization of adab values in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning plays an important role in shaping students’ character, discipline, and quality of learning, particularly in the context of integrated Islamic schools. This study aims to analyze the process of internalizing adab values in PAI learning and its implications for students’ learning achievement at SMPIT Ar-Risalah Surakarta. This study used a qualitative approach through library research by examining various scientific literature, books, journal articles, and previous research findings relevant to adab education, Islamic character education, and learning achievement. The results of the review showed that the internalization of adab values in PAI learning can be carried out through habituation, role modeling, value integration in the learning process, and the strengthening of school culture. The implementation of adab education contributes positively to students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development. In addition, the internalization of adab values is able to improve students’ learning discipline, learning motivation, responsibility, and academic achievement. These findings contribute to strengthening the theoretical foundation regarding the relationship between adab education and students’ learning achievement in the context of integrated Islamic schools. The conclusion of this study affirms that the internalization of adab values in PAI learning functions not only as a reinforcement of Islamic character but also as a pedagogical strategy to support the improvement of students’ learning quality.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is oriented not only toward the transmission of knowledge about Islamic teachings, but also toward the formation of students’ personality and religious behavior. However, PAI learning for autistic students requires specific strategies because they have characteristics such as communication barriers, limited social interaction, and a tendency toward concrete and visual thinking. This study aims to examine PAI learning strategies in shaping the religious behavior of autistic students. This study used a qualitative approach with a library research method through a review of relevant literature on PAI learning strategies, the characteristics of autistic children, and the formation of religious behavior. The results of the review show that effective learning strategies for autistic students in PAI learning include an individual approach, the use of visual media, the provision of simple and gradual instructions, positive reinforcement, and the creation of a structured and consistent learning environment. These strategies need to be implemented based on learning principles that are structured, patterned, programmed, consistent, and continuous. These findings affirm that PAI teachers have a central role as educators, facilitators, motivators, and evaluators in supporting the formation of religious behavior among autistic students. The conclusion of the study shows that adaptive and consistent PAI learning strategies can help autistic students develop religious behavior in accordance with their abilities and learning characteristics. The implications of this study provide theoretical contributions to the development of inclusive PAI learning studies, as well as practical implications for teachers in designing learning that is more individual, visual, structured, and oriented toward the formation of individuals who are faithful, pious, and noble in character.

Abstract

The problems of Qur’an memorization among adolescents constitute a complex pedagogical issue because they involve cognitive, psychological, spiritual, and environmental dimensions that interact with one another. This study aims to analyze the strategies of tahfidz teachers in overcoming difficulties in Qur’an memorization among students at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Islam Surakarta in the 2025/2026 academic year. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects consisted of tahfidz teachers as the main informants, as well as Madrasah Aliyah students and madrasah management as supporting informants. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participatory observation, and documentation analysis, then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation, member checking, and researcher reflexivity. The results showed that the main problems faced by students included low concentration, lack of learning motivation, boredom in muroja’ah, and weak time management between general academic workloads and memorization targets. Tahfidz teachers responded to these problems through adaptive pedagogical strategies, including the integration of the talaqqi, tikrar, tasmi’, and muroja’ah methods, personal approaches and the development of intrinsic motivation, the creation of a conducive learning environment based on spiritual values, and a structured and continuous memorization evaluation system. These findings indicate that the effectiveness of tahfidz teachers’ strategies is influenced by their ability to integrate modern pedagogical approaches with classical Islamic learning traditions. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of integrative, adaptive, and contextual tahfidz learning strategies in overcoming difficulties in Qur’an memorization in formal madrasahs. The contribution of this study lies in strengthening the conceptual model of tahfidz learning that integrates pedagogical, psychological, spiritual, and managerial aspects in Islamic education.

Abstract

The transformation from the 2013 Curriculum to the Kurikulum Merdeka requires not only administrative changes but also changes in the learning paradigm and teachers’ mindset. Although the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka in Islamic Religious Education has been widely studied, research that specifically examines the transformation of Akidah Akhlak teachers’ mindset in the context of madrasah aliyah remains limited. This study aims to analyze the transformation of Akidah Akhlak teachers’ mindset in the transition from the 2013 Curriculum to the Kurikulum Merdeka at MAN 1 Surakarta. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research informants consisted of the Deputy Head of Madrasah for Curriculum and Akidah Akhlak teachers selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, learning observations, and documentation study, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña interactive model through the stages of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that teachers’ mindset transformation occurred gradually, from a teacher-centered learning orientation toward student-centered learning. The main supporting factors for this transformation included curricular leadership, teacher learning communities, and Kurikulum Merdeka training, whereas inhibiting factors included deeply rooted teaching habits, limited time, and adaptation to learning documents. The conclusion of this study affirms that the successful implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka is strongly influenced by changes in teachers’ paradigm and mindset. These findings imply the importance of strengthening curricular leadership, developing teacher learning communities, and providing continuous mentoring to support curriculum transition in madrasah aliyah.

Abstract

The decline in the quality of students’ learning etiquette in the digital era and the limited empirical studies on the implementation of the values of Ta‘līm al-Muta‘allim in pesantren institutions with a love- and deep learning-based curriculum model form the basis for conducting this study. This study aims to describe the implementation of learning ethics in the book Ta‘līm al-Muta‘allim and analyze its contribution to the formation of students’ learning etiquette at the Syu‘bah Ta’shil ‘Ilmy (STI) Unit of Pondok Pesantren Islam Darusy Syahadah, Blagung, Boyolali. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 5 ustadz and 10 santri, participatory observation, and documentation study, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña interactive model. The results showed that STI Darusy Syahadah implemented the learning ethics of Ta‘līm al-Muta‘allim through three main pathways, namely direct study of the book, internalization of values in daily activities, and the exemplary conduct of ustadz. This implementation contributed to the formation of students’ learning etiquette in three dimensions, namely correct learning intention, ta‘zhim toward teachers, and an ethos of earnest learning. The conclusion of this study affirms that the classical values of Ta‘līm al-Muta‘allim remain relevant and effective in shaping students’ learning etiquette in the contemporary era when implemented systematically and contextually. The implications of this study contribute to strengthening adab-based Islamic education and serve as a practical reference for pesantren in integrating classical learning ethics values with the needs of modern learning.

Abstract

Household food security in rural areas still faces challenges due to the low utilization of home gardens as independent food sources, including in Singodutan Village, which has considerable yard potential that has not been optimally utilized. This community service activity aimed to strengthen household food security through a household crop program based on home garden utilization. The implementation method employed participatory and educational approaches consisting of observation, socialization, training in crop cultivation, mentoring, and activity evaluation. The results showed an increase in community knowledge and skills in home garden cultivation techniques, improved utilization of home gardens as productive land, and the availability of some household vegetable and spice needs from self-cultivation. The program also had an initial impact on reducing household food expenditures and strengthening community social interaction. Overall, the community service activity demonstrates that home garden utilization through a household crop program is effective in improving household independence and food security. Therefore, this program has the potential to be sustainably developed as a community empowerment model based on local resources in rural areas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Ethical and Shariah Commitment on Service and Transaction Ethics, Social Commitment and Business Relationships, Financial Growth, Structural Growth, and Strategic Growth. The research focuses on the interest-free economic community in the Soloraya region, which actively applies Islamic economic principles in its business activities. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey design, involving 64 purposively selected business actors. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The analysis included both measurement model and structural model evaluations to assess construct validity and the strength of relationships among variables. The findings reveal that Ethical and Shariah Commitment has a positive and significant impact on Service and Transaction Ethics, Social Commitment and Business Relationships, and Structural Growth. However, it exerts a negative and significant effect on Financial Growth and Strategic Growth. Meanwhile, Social Commitment and Business Relationships emerged as the most influential construct, positively affecting both Strategic and Financial Growth, but negatively influencing Structural Growth. Furthermore, Strategic Growth plays a key mediating role in enhancing Structural Growth. This study concludes that while ethical and Shariah compliance strengthens integrity, social trust, and institutional stability, it may also limit financial and strategic flexibility if applied rigidly. Therefore, it recommends the development of adaptive and innovative Shariah-based business models that integrate Islamic ethical values with strategic agility and institutional transformation. Strengthening organizational capacity through digital transformation, institutional governance, and value-driven strategies is essential to ensure that Islamic ethical commitments function not as constraints, but as a competitive advantage in achieving sustainable business growth

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the influence of learning motivation on learning outcomes in the Qur'an Hadith subject among 10th-grade students at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Karanganyar in the 2025/2026 academic year. Method: A quantitative correlational approach was employed. The sample comprised 35 tenth-grade students. The main instruments were a learning motivation questionnaire and academic records for the Qur'an Hadith subject. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation tests. Results: Overall student motivation level was moderate to high, with 80.0% of students falling in the medium-to-high motivation category. Learning outcomes were fairly good as well, with 68.5% of students achieving medium-to-high outcome categories. Correlation analysis showed a strong positive relationship between learning motivation and outcomes (r = 0.789, p < 0.01). Motivation explained about 62.3% of the variance in learning outcomes, indicating that learning motivation significantly influences achievement in Qur'an Hadith. Conclusion: The higher the students’ learning motivation, the better their learning outcomes. The findings imply that efforts to boost motivation – for example, through innovative teaching strategies, humanistic approaches, and reinforcement of Islamic values – can improve student performance in the Qur'an Hadith subject.
