Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on student activity and learning achievement. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Aikmel during the 2022/2023 academic year. This is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental approach using a posttest-only non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study consists of all eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Aikmel for the 2022/2023 academic year. The sample includes 30 students from class VIII A and 30 students from class VIII C, which serve as the experimental and control groups, respectively, selected based on the similar or homogeneous abilities of both classes. Data on student activity and learning achievement after the treatment were collected using questionnaires and tests. Quantitative data analysis was performed using multivariate Hotelling's T² test, followed by Bonferroni t-tests, and then an independent samples t-test. The three statistical tests yielded a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (H0), indicating a significant difference in the mean scores between the two groups in terms of student activity and learning achievement, both simultaneously and separately. The results of the study show that the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model has an impact on student activity and learning achievement in the topic of linear equations for eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Aikmel during the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

The policy for Independent Learning Independent Learning Campus (MBKM) internship activities is an example of a new idea in higher education that provides flexibility to students. In accordance with the mandate of Permendikbud Number 03 of 2020 concerning National Higher Education Standards, the Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) was formed. Students of the IAIN Palangka Raya Islamic Education Management Study Program complete an internship assignment for one semester. The purpose of this program is to provide opportunities for students to apply the theories and knowledge that have been learned in lectures to the workplace situation. The method used is mentoring conducted by one Internship Assistance Lecturer to 4 participants for one semester. This internship activity is located at the Regional Staffing Agency of Central Kalimantan Province. The results of the office internship activities that have been carried out, student interns can do work practices and learn firsthand how the office administration system and staffing services at the BKD of Central Kalimantan province.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the perception of the people of Kebonagung Village towards the Real Work Lecture (KKN) program and its impact on the socio-cultural aspects of Kebonagung Village. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The results of the study show that public perception of KKN varies, ranging from positive to skeptical. Factors that affect this perception include direct experience with the KKN program, the level of education, and the level of involvement in village activities. In addition, this study also found that KKN has a positive impact on the socio-cultural aspects of the village, such as increasing public awareness, changing behavior, and strengthening mutual cooperation values.

Abstract

Islamic Education Philosophy has been a solid foundation in shaping Muslim character for centuries. However, in the dynamic and challenging era of globalization, the relevance of this philosophy is increasingly questionable. This study aims to analyze the extent to which the principles of Islamic Education Philosophy are still relevant in shaping Muslim character that is able to face the complexities of the modern world. Through literature review and comparative analysis, this study reveals that the core values of Islamic Education Philosophy such as monotheism, akhlakul karimah, and knowledge are still very relevant in shaping Muslim character that is faithful, has noble character, and has global competence. This study also identifies specific challenges faced by Islamic education in the era of globalization, as well as strategies that can be applied to overcome these challenges. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of a more relevant and effective Islamic education curriculum in shaping a quality Muslim generation.

Abstract

Correlation of geochemical of soil and chemical properties of oil palm fiber from the trunk, empty fruit bunches and fronds has been investigated. Frond samples come from dryland and wetland to have more significant results. The chemical properties of topsoil and lignocellulosic fiber were investigated by FT-IR. The geology of soil was investigated by 1D Geoelectric. Measuring of the content of cellulose and lignin according to SNI 14-0444-1989 and SNI 0492-1989-A. Base on research, the geochemical properties of soil are correlated with the chemical properties of the lignocellulosic fiber of the oil palm trees. The cellulose content of wetlands fiber has the lowest than other fibers. This is caused by soil nutrients which are composed of carbonyl and phenolic compounds. Alkalization treatment on the fiber has increased the cellulose content of each fiber. The alkalization treatment increases the adhesive properties. Based on the geology and chemical properties of soil, the land of oil palm trees is composed of clay minerals composed of Si-O-Si, carbonyl, phenol bonds and others.

Abstract

Learning media is one of the keys to achieving success in the learning process in the classroom. This research aims to obtain, examine, and discuss several utterances in Indonesian language learning videos on the Kejarcita YouTube channel. This research uses a methodological approach (qualitative approach) and a theoretical approach in the form of pragmatics (directive speech acts). The data source for this research was obtained from videos in the "SMP Bahasa Indonesia" playlist uploaded to social media, namely YouTube, from December 2022 to September 2024 on the Kejarcita YouTube channel. This research discusses directive speech acts in junior high school Indonesian language learning videos on the Kejarcita YouTube channel. There are 23 directive speech acts on the Indonesian Middle School playlist Kejarcita YouTube channel. The author groups the data into five subchapters according to the type of directive speech act. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide additional knowledge and can be used as learning reference material for readers, especially in pragmatic studies.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the educational approach in analyzing gender. The research method uses qualitative research with a library approach. For the approach to the interpretation of the verses of the Qur'an using thematic interpretations or maudu'i interpretations. Gender analysis is a tool for analyzing data and information in uncovering the positions, roles, functions and responsibilities of women and men, identifying influencing factors and impacts that occur as a result of acculturation in life and society. In the Qur'an to be able to analyze gender, you can use an approach by knowing sex and gender. Sex is the sexes of men and women, while gender is a concept used to interpret men and women in terms of roles and functions in the order of life. The framework used in gender analysis is using the Harvard framework (role dan economic approach), Moser Analysis (Development and Gender Approach), SWOT analysis (Strengthen, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat), Longwe Framework Analysis (Empowerment Framework), and Social Relations analysis (Social welfare)

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendannya keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia kelas V SD Negeri 02 Kota Payakumbuh. Penelitian ini membahas tentang apakah penggunaan pendekatan Picture and Picture efektif terhadap keterampiran menulis karangan narasi siswa Kelas V SD Negeri 02 Kota Payakumbuh. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan jenis Quasi Experimental Design dengan rancangan Pratest and Posstest Only Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas V semester II SD Negeri 02 Kota Payakumbuh. Berdasarkan analisis data yang diperoleh hasil pengujian terhadap data dari kelas sampel yaitu berdisrtibusi normal dan homogen, selanjutnya dilakukan uji hipotesis dengan uji-t menjunkkan thitung =3,870 > ttabel = 1,681 maka hipotesis atau H1 diterima, terbukti dengan penggunaan pendekatan Picture and Picture memberikan efektivitas terhadap keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa kelas V SD Negeri 02 Kota Payakumbuh tahun ajaran 2019/2020.

Abstract

This research examines the history of the Crusades and their impact on Islamic civilization and the thinking of ulama in the modern era. The Crusades were a series of conflicts that began with religious motives and turned political and economic. Regarding zonation, the Crusades were initially centered around Jerusalem, then spread to various other areas and took place between 1096 and 1365 AD. The focus of the study in this article includes: (1)History and factors that led to the Crusades, (2)Periodization of the Crusades, (3)The impact of the Crusades on the progress of Western nations and the decadence of civilization in the East, (4)Thoughts on the continuing gap between Islam and Christianity after the Crusades and (5)What Muslims should do to prevent the decadence of civilization. Through qualitative research methods with a literature review, this research found several conclusions: (1)The Crusades manifested European expansionism. (2)The Crusades had several significant impacts on the progress of European nations; (3)The Islamic world experienced decadence in various areas of life due to this series of events, both in Andalusia, Baghdad, Jerusalem, and other Islamic regions, (4)Even though the Muslims were successful defending most of its territory from attacks by the crusaders, the losses they suffered were very large. The Islamic world has been hit by various religious, political, socio-economic, educational, and cultural crises. These losses resulted in the weakening of the political power of Muslims, which further worsened the condition of division (5)Even though the Crusades ended several centuries ago, stereotypes of Muslims and even ulama in the modern era consider that every religious conflict is an extension of The Crusades. This research is very useful in providing a horizon for reading major conflicts between religious communities and the motives behind religious interests, as well as things that Muslims need to pay attention to so that they are always alert to all forms of attacks in the name of religion.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan mengetahui pengaruh iklim sekolah terhadap kedisiplinan siswa, pengaruh kesejahteraan siswa terhadap kedisiplinan siswa, serta pengaruh iklim sekolah dan kesejahteraan siswa terhadap kedisiplinan siswa pada siswa SMP/MTs di Kecamatan Rilau Ale. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP/ MTs, sebanyak 250 siswa dari SMP Negeri 40 Bulukumba dan MTs Muhammadiyah Palampang. Pengambilan sample dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik probability sampling dengan pengambilan anggota sampel dengan kuota sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala iklim sekolah, skala kesejahteraan siswa dan skala kedisiplinan siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam uji hipotesis penelitian ini adalah regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa iklim sekolah dan kesejahteraan siswa secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif sebesar 45,7% terhadap kedisiplinan siswa. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, semakin tinggi iklim sekolah dan kesejahteraan siswa, maka semakin tinggi pula kedisiplinan siswa.
