Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengetahuan, sikap, dan praktik PHBS serta hubungannya dengan konsumsi pangan dan status gizi baduta. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah cross-sectional dengan jumlah 66 baduta. Mayoritas ibu baduta memiliki pengetahuan, sikap, dan praktik PHBS yang baik (87,9%, 86,4%, dan 63,6%). Sebanyak 39,4% ibu baduta memiliki persepsi yang baik terhadap lingkungan rumahnya, sedangkan sebagian besar lainnya (60,6%) memiliki persepsi lingkungan rumah sedang (60-79%). Tingkat kecukupan energi (84,6%AKE) tergolong kurang dari anjuran 100-<130%AKG, protein (193,2%AKG) dan lemak (158%AKG) tergolong lebih dari anjuran 100- <130%AKG, karbohidrat (115,6%AKG) baduta sudah sesuai dari anjuran 100-<130%AKG. Indikator Ever Breastfed (EvBF), Minimum Dietary Diversity (MMD), dan Minimum Meal Frequency (MMF) pada anak sudah memenuhi standar Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) practices yang dikeluarkan oleh WHO dan UNICEF (2021). Mayoritas subjek (84,8%) memiliki status gizi normal. Hasil uji Rank Spearman Correlation menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang nyata antara pengetahuan PHBS dengan sikap PHBS (p<0,05). Hasil uji hubungan menunjukkan tidak adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara konsumsi ASI, MP-ASI, pengetahuan, sikap, dan praktik PHBS dengan status gizi baduta.

Abstract

Media sosial yang menampilkan figur tubuh ideal menyebabkan remaja membandingkan bentuk tubuhnya dengan standar sosial. Hal tersebut mendorong remaja melakukan berbagai upaya seperti diet berlebih yang berdampak pada citra tubuh, perilaku makan, dan status gizi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak intensitas penggunaan instagram terhadap body dissatisfaction, perilaku makan, dan status gizi remaja di Kota Jakarta dan Kabupaten Bogor. Perbedaan demografi bertujuan untuk melihat adanya perbedaan dampak instagram terhadap kedua lokasi tersebut. Desain penelitian menggunakan cross sectional study yang terdiri dari 100 subjek yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan self-administered. Sebagian besar subjek masuk kedalam kategori light user pada penggunaan instagram (69%), memiliki persepsi body dissatisfaction (57%), tergolong dalam tipe perilaku makan external eating (68%), beresiko mengalami gangguan makan (12%), dan memiliki status gizi normal (69%). Tidak terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara intensitas penggunaan instagram terhadap body dissatisfaction, perilaku makan dan status gizi (p>0,05). Instagram tidak secara langsung mempengaruhi body dissatisfaction, perilaku makan, dan status gizi remaja, namun terdapat faktor-faktor lain yang berkontribusi lebih besar seperti interpersonal subjek, asupan makan, dan sosio demografi lainnya.

Abstract

Emotional eating is a coping strategy for stress management that can lead to excessive food intake, while mindful eating is a preventive measure. This study aims to analyze the correlation between mindful eating and stress levels with the nutritional status of Global Persada Mandiri (GPM) High School students. This research design used a cross-sectional design involving 113 GPM high school students. Subject characteristics, mindful eating, and stress levels were obtained through questionnaires and interviews. Anthropometry data were obtained by direct measurement. Most of the research subjects had low mindful eating practices (90.27%) and moderate stress level (83.19%). The nutritional status of research subjects was dominated by good nutrition (61.06%). The results of the Spearman Rank correlation test showed no significant correlation between the MEQ total score and MEQ domains, awareness, distraction, disinhibition, and external cues with nutritional status (p>0.05). There is a significant negative correlation between the MEQ domain, emotional response, and nutritional status (p<0.05). No significant correlation was found between stress levels and nutritional status (p>0.05). However, the correlation test results for energy intake and nutritional status showed a significant positive correlation (p<0.05).

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe surge in malnutrition prevalence of underweight children under five from 17.9% to 19.6% in the 2007-2013 period, indicates that Indonesia is facing problems in terms of public health. Previous studies showed that the nutritional status and the health of children are concerned with the social practices of their food choices. The purpose of this study is to identify the forms of social structure and analyze the structures that play a role as inhibitors or activators social practices of food choice for children. This study involved 200 people of the main organizer of family food from the two communities in West Java province. Communities chosen have characterized the local community of highland and lowland agriculture. The results show that the structures that play a role as inhibitors or activators social practices of food choice in the highland community are the selection of food supplied from outside the community (structure of domination), income (structure of domination), and access to means of transportation (structure of domination). Meanwhile , at the community of lowland , structural inhibitors and activators social practices of food choice were identified as the food regulation for children who suffer from pain (structure of legitimacy), norms of parenting (structure of legitimacy ), a selection of food supplied from outside the community (structure of domination) and family support (structure of domination).Keywords: social practices, food choices, structureABSTRAKMelonjaknya prevalensi gizi underweight anak balita dari 17.9% menjadi 19.6% pada tahun 2007-2013 menandai Indonesia sedang menghadapi masalah dalam hal kesehatan masyarakat. Penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa status gizi dan kesehatan anak mempunyai kaitan dengan praktik sosial pilihan pangan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi bentuk struktur sosial dan menganalisis struktur sosial yang berperan menghambat dan mengaktifkan praktik sosial pilihan pangan untuk anak. Kajian ini melibatkan 200 individu pengelola utama pangan keluarga dari dua komunitas di propinsi Jawa Barat. Komunitas yang dipilih mencirikan komunitas lokal pertanian dataran tinggi dan komunitas lokal pertanian dataran rendah. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa struktur yang berperan sebagai penghambat atau pengaktif praktik sosial pilihan pangan pada komunitas dataran tinggi adalah pilihan pangan yang disediakan dari luar komunitas (struktur dominasi), biaya/penghasilan (sumberdaya alokatif-struktur dominasi), dan akses sarana transportasi (sumberdaya alokatif-struktur dominasi). Sementara itu, pada komunitas dataran rendah, struktur penghambat dan pengaktif praktik sosial pilihan pangan yang teridentifikasi adalah aturan pangan untuk anak yang menderita sakit (aturan-struktur legitimasi), norma pengasuhan anak (aturan-struktur legitimasi), pilihan pangan yang disediakan dari luar komunitas (struktur dominasi) dan dukungan keluarga (struktur dominasi).Kata kunci: praktik sosial, pilihan pangan, struktur

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Budaya berpengaruh terhadap keputusan dan perilaku terkait gizi-kesehatan suatu masyarakat adat.  Seperti yang diketahui perilaku gizi-kesehatan yang salah dapat berdampak buruk seperti kurang gizi bahkan sampai mengakibatkan kematian ibu dan anak.Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat pendidikan dan perilaku gizi-kesehatan ibu balita pada masyarakat adat Samin di Jawa Tengah.Metode: Penelitian deskriptif dengan mixed method ini melibatkan 88 ibu balita masyarakat adat Samin di Kabupaten Kudus, Pati, dan Blora, Jawa Tengah. Tingkat pengetahuan, dan persepsi gizi-kesehatan diperoleh dari hasil persentase jawaban benar pada kuesioner yang kemudian di kategorikan ke dalam tiga tingkatan. Uji korelasi Spearman juga dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antar variabel.Hasil: Hasil menunjukan 98% ibu balita pada kelompok Kudus-Pati tidak bersekolah sedang 68,4% ibu balita di Blora telah mengenyam pendidikan dasar. 50% ibu balita di Kudus-Pati memiliki tingkat pengetahuan yang rendah, namun 55,3% ibu balita di Blora memiliki tingkat pengetahuan sedang. 68% ibu balita di Kudus-Pati memiliki persepsi negatif, namun 73,7% ibu balita di Blora telah memiliki persepsi gizi-kesehatan yang positfi. Uji beda juga menunjukan perbedaan signifikan (p<0,05) pada kedua kelompok terkait dua variable tersebut. Uji korelasi juga menunjukan adanya hubungan antara tingkat pendidikan, pengetahuan, dan persepsi ibu balita (p<0,05).Simpulan: Simpulan yang dapat diambil dari hasil penelitian ialah terdapat perbedaan antara tingkat pendidikan, pengetahuan, dan persepsi ibu balita antar kedua kelompok di mana ibu balita di Blora lebih baik dibanding ibu balita di Kudus-Pati.

Abstract

Background: In East Java, the prevalence of stunting in toddlers exceeds the national average of 32.8%, while in Sampang Regency it reaches 47.9%. Stunting poses a significant challenge by hindering economic growth, exacerbating poverty, and widening socio-economic disparities. The research aims to analyze the relationship between family characteristics and the incidence of stunting in toddlers in Sampang, Madura.Method: This quantitative study employed a cross-sectional design in Sampang Regency.  A total of 384 toddlers and their mothers participated as the research sample. The research variables included parental characteristics, anthropometric measurements of maternal height, and maternal knowledge status. Statistical analysis was conducted using the Pearson correlation inference test.Result: The test results showed that family social status had no significant influence on stunting among toddlers. However, maternal height significantly influenced the incidence of stunting, with a P-value of 0.030.  These findings highlight the importance of addressing maternal height as a determinant of toddler stunting. Thus, intervention needs to be given to adolescent girls to prevent toddler stunting.  Such interventions could include health education programs focused on improving adolescent nutritional status to increase growth. Efforts should prioritize adolescent girls before menarche to optimize height development and reduce the future stunting risk of their offspring.

Abstract

Background: The prevalence of hypertension in West Java and West Sumatra are in high level. Hypertension in rural areas tends to be higher than in urban areas, and women are higher than men. The lack of control of blood pressure in people with hypertension and the delay in seeking treatment can increase mortality. Purposes: This study aims to analyze the women’s access to health facilities and health-seeking behavior carried out by women in rural areas. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional method in Purwakarta (Sunda) and Padang Pariaman (Minang) District. There are 75 people each sample women aged 35–55 years with hypertension. Analysis statistic using Pearson Chi-Square. Results: The results show that above 60% of responden chosen Puskesmas became health facilities. Sunda women significantly use doctor’s clinics more than Minang women (p-value 0.05). Most Sunda women changed their behavior by taking antihypertensive drugs and losing weight to controlling blood pressure compared to Minang women (p 0.05). Conclusion: The conclusion, Puskesmas as a main place for treatment and medical-related to control their blood pressure. However, changes in the health behavior of Sunda women prefer to take drugs, and weight loss, while the Minang women tend to reduce salt consumption.

Abstract

The IFA (Iron Folic Acid) Supplements program among schoolgirls is one of the specific interventions from the Ministry of Health in Indonesia to overcome the high stunting rate in Indonesia. However, several studies found that there are still few female students who want to take IFA. This study aims to analyze intention of female students in taking IFA based on health belief model and emphasize the cues to action construct as a health communication variable in this model. The research was conducted through a survey of 92 female students from two schools in Dramaga District and Ciampea District, Bogor Regency using a quantitative approach. The PLS-SEM application is used to analyze the relationship between variables and test hypotheses. This research found that knowledge and source of information and cues to action influence intention to consume TTD. The results of this research can contribute to improving TTD program interventions that strengthen cues to action or various health communication means regarding IFA to female students.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus has a significant impact on health and, in the long term, can lead to complications. Women are at a higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes mellitus compared to men. For women of reproductive age, diabetes mellitus can affect reproductive health and pregnancy quality, which may influence the next generation. The study aimed to determine risk factors for type 2 diabetes mellitus in women of reproductive age in Bekasi City. This was matched case control study, involving 72 subjects selected by purposive sampling. The study was conducted at community health centre in Bekasi. Results: There were no significant differences in nutritional status (p=0.083) and age at menarche (p=0.234) of women of reproductive age with T2DM and non-T2DM. Long menstrual cycles increase the risk of type 2 diabetes mellitus by 6.2 times higher than normal menstrual cycles (p=0.005). A history of gestational diabetes in women of reproductive age increases the risk 2.2 times higher for women of reproductive age to experience T2DM in the future (p=0.027). Long menstrual cycles and gestational diabetes are important factors contributing to the increased risk of T2DM in women of reproductive age.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study was aimed to analyze levels of knowledge, attitude, and practice on nutrition related to iodine, and iodine source consumption pattern, and household’s usage of iodized salt among mothers in mountainous area of Cianjur District. Design of this study was a cross-sectional, conducted during May-July 2012 at three sub-districts of Cianjur which were categorized as IDD (Iodine Deficiency Disorders) endemic areas. The subjects were 153 household mothers, living in the study area. The data were collected by interview using pre-tested questionnaires. Data on iodine content of salt was analyzed at Laboratory of Balai GAKI, Magelang. The result shows that subjects were mostly categorized as poor (73.2%), namely their income/cap/month was lower than poverty line of rural West Java. Nutritional knowledge related to iodine of subjects was categorized as moderate (score 64.2). Nutritional attitude related to iodine of subjects indicated the negative attitude (score <75), and the nutritional practice was categorized as poor (score 58.3). Type of iodine food source which frequently consumed by households were salted fish and egg. Subjek adalah ibu rumahtangga sebanyak 153 orang. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode wawancara menggunakan kuesioner yang telah diujicobakan sebelumnya. Data kandungan iodium pada garam diperoleh berdasarkan analisis di laboratorium Balai GAKI, Magelang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan subjek umumnya tergolong miskin (73,2%) karena pendapatan/kapita/bulan lebih rendah dari Garis Kemiskinan Jawa Barat untuk wilayah perdesaan. Pengetahuan gizi ibu terkait iodium tergolong sedang (skor 64,2). Sikap gizi ibu terkait iodium menunjukkan sikap yang negatif (skor <75) dan praktek gizi ibu terkait iodium tergolong rendah (skor 58,3). Jenis pangan sumber iodium yang sering dikonsumsi subjek adalah ikan asin dan telur. Garam yang dikonsumsi subjek semuanya sudah mengandung iodium, tetapi hanya 11,1% yang mengandung iodium dalam jumlah mencukupi (>30 ppm).Kata kunci: iodium, pengetahuan, praktek, sikap
