Abstract

Genetic polymorphisms in cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 gene (CTLA-4) vary by ethnic background, necessitating population-specific studies. The aim of this study was to assess the association between the CTLA-4 +6230G>A polymorphism, serum CTLA-4 level, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in Batak patients with chronic hepatitis B, a group with high hepatitis B virus (HBV) endemicity. A case-control study was conducted among cases (Batak patients with chronic hepatitis B and HCC) and controls (chronic hepatitis B without HCC). Genotyping of the CTLA-4 +6230G>A polymorphism was performed using the TaqMan SNP Genotyping Assay. Serum CTLA-4 level was quantified using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Patient’s demographic, clinical and laboratory data were recorded and assessed including age, sex, body mass index (BMI), smoking history, cirrhosis status, HBV DNA level, liver function markers (aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT)), hepatitis B e-antigen (HBeAg) status, smoking history, and alcohol consumption. This study found that G allele was significantly associated with an increased risk of HCC (OR: 2.69; 95%CI: 1.21–6.00; p=0.013). Individuals with GG/AG genotypes had a 2.89-fold higher risk of developing HCC compared to those with the AA genotype (p=0.032). Serum CTLA-4 level was significantly elevated in G allele carriers (GG: 159.9±57.1 pg/mL vs AA: 83.7±44.7 pg/mL; p<0.001). Multivariate analysis identified cirrhosis as the strongest predictor of HCC (OR: 7.60; p<0.001), followed by elevated ALT (OR: 3.42; p=0.018) and high HBV DNA levels (OR: 2.31; p=0.024). In conclusion, the CTLA-4 +6230G>A GG/AG genotype and elevated serum CTLA-4 level were significantly associated with an increased risk of HCC in Batak individuals with chronic HBV infection. Further research is needed to explore additional CTLA-4 polymorphisms and immune regulatory mechanisms in HBV-related HCC to improve risk stratification and therapeutic strategies.

Abstract

Mahasiswa laki-laki calon guru matematika tidak sedikit yang mengalami kesulitan dalammemahami definisi formal barisan konvergen. Umumnya definisi formal tersebut dihafalkan,sehingga tidak mempunyai pembayangan mental tentang definisi formal barisan konvergen.Untuk mendapatkan pembayangan mental tersebut, mahasiswa perlu berpikir visual.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan profil berpikir visual mahasiswa laki-laki calonguru matematika dalam memahami definisi formal barisan konvergen. Penelitian inimenggunakan metode deskriptif-eksploratif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitiandiambil dari program studi pendidikan matematika FP MIPA IKIP PGRI Madiun. Datapenelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan metode wawancara berbasis tugas dengan formatsemi-terstruktur. Data penelitian divalidasi dengan menggunakan triangulasi waktu. Datapenelitian dianalisis dengan kategorisasi, reduksi, paparan, interpretasi, dan penarikankesimpulan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan profil berpikir visual mahasiswa laki-laki calon gurumatematika dalam memahami definisi formal barisan konvergen; yaitu: a) Untuk memahamidefinisi formal barisan konvergen dengan menggunakan visualisasi, mahasiswa laki-lakimengenali, membayangkan, memperlihatkan (memperlihatkan gambaran definisi,memperlihatkan atribut definisi), dan menyimpulkan. Untuk mengenali, mahasiswa laki-lakimeringkas definisi dan menjabarkan yang bisa dijabarkan. Untuk membayangkan,mahasiswa laki-laki membuat rumus barisan umum, membuat tabel bantu, dan membuatgambaran umum. Untuk memperlihatkan gambaran definisi, mahasiswa laki-laki membuatrumus barisan khusus, tabel bantu, dan mengeplotkan anggota barisan. Untukmemperlihatkan atribut definisi, mahasiswa laki-laki menentukan nilai , menentukan nilai ,menentukan nilai ( ), menggambar garis ( ), dan menggambar garis . Untukmenyimpulkan, mahasiswa laki-laki mencocokkan dan membuat kesimpulan; b) Rangkaianaktivitas atau kegiatan berpikir visual mahasiswa laki-laki calon guru matematika dalammemahami definisi formal barisan konvergen adalah memunculkan pembayangan mental,mengolah (menentukan, menyempurnakan) pembayangan mental, dan memanfaatkanpembayangan mental. Untuk memunculkan pembayangan mental, mahasiswa laki-lakimemanggil atau membuat pembayangan mental. Untuk menentukan pembayangan mental,mahasiswa laki-laki mengumpulkan dan memilih pembayangan mental. Untukmenyempurnakan pembayangan mental, mahasiswa laki-laki membenarkan ataumelengkapi pembayangan mental. Untuk memanfaatkan pembayangan mental, mahasiswalaki-laki menggunakan atau merepresentasikan pembayangan mental. Pemrosesanpembayangan mental sesuai dengan tujuan dan kebutuhan aktivitas untuk memahamidefinisi formal barisan konvergen, seperti pada aktivitas menggambarkan gambaran umum,membuat rumus barisan khusus, mengeplotkan, menentukan nilai , menggambar garis( ), dan menggambar garis .

Abstract

Banyak ahli atau penulis menjelaskan pemrosesan informasi dengan menggunakan model memori. Makalah ini membahas model memori mahasiswa calon guru matematika dalam memahami definisi formal barisan konvergen. model memori tersebut diperoleh berdasarkan hasil penelitian deskriptif-eksploratif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Untuk mendapatkan kedalaman data, dipilih satu mahasiswa laki-laki dan satu mahasiswa perempuan sebagai subjek penelitian. Untuk mendapatkan kealamian data, digunakan metode wawancara berbasis tugas dengan format semi-terstruktur. Untuk mendapatkan data yang valid, digunakan triangulasi waktu. Untuk menganalisis data, digunakan reduksi, kategorisasi, sintesisasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Model memori mahasiswa laki-laki diperoleh berdasarkan profil berpikir visual mahasiswa laki-laki dalam memahami definisi formal barisan konvergen. Abstract

High employee turnover in Tangerang City’s retail industry signals dissatisfaction, prompting this study to examine the influence of compensation systems and career development on job satisfaction. The objective is to quantify their individual and combined effects using a quantitative survey approach. Data were collected from 100 retail employees via questionnaires, analyzed through multiple linear regression, instrument testing, and hypothesis testing with SPSS. Results show compensation systems positively affect job satisfaction (β = 0.412, p < 0.05), as does career development (β = 0.378, p < 0.05), with a simultaneous effect (F = 37.214, p < 0.05, R² = 0.427). These findings indicate that fair, transparent compensation and structured career paths significantly enhance employee satisfaction. Practically, retail firms should implement competitive salary structures, performance-based bonuses, and clear promotion pathways to boost loyalty and reduce turnover. The study suggests regular evaluation of these systems to align with market standards and employee expectations, fostering a supportive work environment.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Ethnofun-assisted Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in enhancing student learning outcomes, particularly when viewed through the lens of students’ computational thinking skills. Method: A quantitative research approach was employed using a quasi-experimental design with a Non-Equivalent Groups Factorial Design. The participants consisted of two classes: the experimental group received PBL integrated with Ethnofun, while the control group was taught using the conventional PBL model. Data were analyzed using two-way ANOVA to assess the effect of the learning model and students' computational thinking levels. Findings: The results showed that students who engaged with the Ethnofun-assisted PBL model achieved better learning outcomes compared to those in the conventional PBL class. Additionally, students with higher computational thinking skills demonstrated superior academic performance. However, no significant interaction was found between the learning model and students’ computational thinking levels, indicating that the benefits of the Ethnofun integration were consistent across all categories of computational thinking. Significance: These findings highlight the pedagogical potential of incorporating culturally contextualized media into inquiry-based instruction. Ethnofun not only enriches the learning experience but also supports the development of essential thinking skills, making it a promising tool for fostering deeper understanding and engagement in mathematics education.

Abstract

You Only Look Once (YOLO)  version 8 is the latest version of YOLO. YOLO is a common object detection model that offers faster and more accurate results. YOLO applications provide numerous benefits in the fields of health care, traffic control, vehicle safety, energy, agriculture, and industry. The purpose of this article is to use advancements in information technology to automate the process of manually recording traffic counts on the highway. The method utilized in this study is to record a video of traffic movements with a smartphone camera and save it in MP4 format. Calculations are performed at the office after receiving recorded video and utilizing a program written by the author that makes use of Python, Ppencv, Pytorch, and YOLO  version 8 software. When passing through a counter box, the traffic volume is counted and saved in Excel format (.xls). The video records footage near the Halim area of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road. With a measurement accuracy of 99.63% for cars, 96.66% for buses, and 98.55% for trucks, the accuracy attained using YOLO  version 8 is fairly satisfactory for detecting vehicle volume and categorization.

Abstract

Learning assessment in the Independent Curriculum aims to provide an overview of student learning progress in cognitive, skill, and attitudinal areas. Diagnostic assessment is a preliminary step that must be conducted before teachers design learning activities. Problem identification in the field indicates that teachers at SMPN 1 Mempura face challenges in developing quality diagnostic assessments tested for validity and reliability. Therefore, SMPN 1 Mempura requires assistance and training in implementing the Independent Curriculum, specifically in the design, implementation, and evaluation of diagnostic assessments. The service activities were conducted over six meetings, totaling 32 learning hours. These activities followed structured steps: preparation, implementation, evaluation, and measuring success through indicators. This training was deemed successful in enhancing teachers' understanding and practical skills in compiling and analyzing diagnostic assessments, which are crucial for implementing the Independent Curriculum effectively.

Abstract

Youth unemployment remains a pressing issue in many rural areas, including Desa Situ Gandung, Kabupaten Tangerang, where limited access to skill-based education hinders employment opportunities. In response, this Community Service Program (PKM) was conducted to enhance youth employability through competency-based human resource training. The program aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge and skills aligned with current labor market demands. The PKM activity was held at Yayasan Tajaul Karomah, Desa Situ Gandung, on April 12–13, 2025, and was carried out by 15 lecturers from Universitas Pamulang. A total of 38 community members from the village participated in the two-day program. The implementation method included structured presentations, interactive discussions, and question-and-answer sessions to ensure effective knowledge transfer and participant engagement. The results demonstrated a significant increase in participants' understanding of job competencies, personal development strategies, and workplace readiness. Participants actively engaged in discussions, indicating improved motivation and awareness of career planning. Furthermore, the collaborative approach between academics and local institutions fostered a positive environment for sustainable community development. Overall, the PKM initiative successfully contributed to the empowerment of youth in Desa Situ Gandung by strengthening their skills and readiness for employment. Future programs are expected to build on this foundation to expand outreach and impact.

Abstract

Salah satu SLB di Madiun adalah SLB Negeri Karangrejo Kabupaten Madiun. SLB ini memiliki kegiatan rutin sekaligus kegiatan ekstrakurikuler membatik. Kegiatan membatik dilakukan pada tahun 2020 oleh guru sebanyak 5 orang dan siswa sebanyak 14 orang. Hasil produksi batik dijual untuk menambah pendapatan SLBN Karangrejo. Melalui kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat dikembangkan atau diterapkan pemberdayaan siswa berkebutuhan khusus melalui kegiatan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) di SLBN Karangrejo. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat MBKM ini adalah untuk meningkatkan produksi batik SLBN Karangrejo melalui kegiatan MBKM. Terdapat tiga tahapan dalam melaksanakan metode pengabdian kepada masayarat, yaitu: sosialisasi program, pelaksanaan program, dan evaluasi program. Output sosialisasi program adalah kesamaan persepsi dan kesepatan jadwal pelaksanaan membatik antara tim dengan mitra. Output kegiatan pelaksanaan program adalah peningkatan kuantitas dan kualitas produksi batik SLBN Karangrejo. Output kegiatan evaluasi program adalah data pelaksanaan dan hasil capaian dari kegiatan-kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan. Hasil aktivitas pelaksanaan program adalah peningkatan kuantitas dan kualitas produksi batik SLBN Karangrejo Madiun. Secara kualitas, produksi batik SLBN Karangrejo Madiun meningkat dari yang semula hanya batik ciprat saja, menjadi bertambah batik cap dan batik tulis.

Abstract

Stunting is a growth disorder characterized by a toddler's height being shorter than that of children his age due to chronic malnutrition. Several factors that cause stunting include the family's economic status, nutritional intake of pregnant women, and lack of providing appropriate food to toddlers. The aim of this service is to measure students' understanding regarding stunting and the factors that cause it. The method used is counseling using lecture methods, question and answer discussions and pre-test and post-test questionnaires. Based on the results of a questionnaire to 45 respondents before being given counseling, it showed that the majority of students did not have adequate knowledge about stunting. After being given education, for 60 minutes by means of counseling, the understanding of IMSYA IT High School students and girls increased as shown by the results before the pre-test and after the post-test. This education succeeded in increasing students' awareness of the importance of preventing stunting through improving nutrition from an early age. Apart from that, Hb examination also provides an overview of students' health status related to anemia which can be one of the causes of stunting. Based on the counseling that has been given, it is hoped that school teachers in particular will be given detailed education, so that this program can run smoothly and can be implemented more widely in order to reduce the number of stunting incidents in the future.ABSTRAKStunting adalah gangguan pertumbuhan yang ditandai dengan tinggi badan balita yang lebih pendek dibandingkan anak seusianya akibat kekurangan gizi kronis. Beberapa faktor sebagai penyebab stunting diantaranya status ekonomi keluarga, asupan gizi ibu hamil, dan kurangnya pemberian makanan yang tepat pada balita. Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk mengukur pemahaman siswa terkait stunting dan faktor-faktor penyebabnya. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dengan metode ceramah, diskusi tanya jawab dan kuesioner pre-test dan post-test. Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner terhadap 45 responden sebelum diberi penyuluhan menunjukkan sebagian besar siswa belum memiliki pengetahuan yang memadai tentang stunting. Setelah diberikan edukasi, selama 60 menit dengan cara penyuluhan, pemahaman siswa dan siswi SMA IT IMSYA meningkat yang ditunjukkan dari hasil sebelum pretes dan setelah postes. Edukasi ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran siswa terhadap pentingnya pencegahan stunting melalui perbaikan gizi sejak dini. Selain itu, pemeriksaan Hb juga memberikan gambaran status kesehatan siswa terkait anemia yang dapat menjadi salah satu penyebab stunting. Berdasarkan penyuluhan yang telah diberikan diharapkan kepada khususnya guru sekolah diberi edukasi secara detail, sehingga program ini dapat berjalan dengan lancar dan dapat diimplementasikan lebih luas guna menekan angka kejadian stunting di masa mendatang.
