Abstract

Patient safety culture is an essential component in improving the quality of healthcare services and preventing medical errors in hospitals. However, the implementation of patient safety culture is often influenced by several organizational and individual factors, including situational awareness, availability of hospital infrastructure, and the balance between effort and rewards experienced by healthcare workers. This study aims to analyze the influence of situational awareness and hospital infrastructure on patient safety culture, with effort–reward imbalance acting as a mediating variable. The research was conducted at RSIA Tiara and involved healthcare workers as respondents. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design was applied in this study. Data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to healthcare professionals and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that situational awareness has a significant positive effect on effort–reward imbalance and patient safety culture. Hospital infrastructure also significantly influences effort–reward imbalance and patient safety culture. Furthermore, effort–reward imbalance significantly affects patient safety culture and mediates the relationship between situational awareness, hospital infrastructure, and patient safety culture. These findings indicate that improving healthcare workers’ situational awareness and ensuring adequate hospital infrastructure can help reduce work imbalance and strengthen patient safety culture. In conclusion, hospital management should prioritize training programs to enhance situational awareness, improve supporting facilities, and implement fair reward systems to promote a sustainable and positive patient safety culture in healthcare organizations.

Abstract

This study aims to regularly identify and synthesize the key factors influencing digital competence among health workers in the implementation of Electronic Medical systems. Using the PRISMA-guided Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, 84 documents from Scopus and PubMed were initially retrieved and screened, yielding 8 peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2025 that met the inclusion criteria. The findings reveal that digital competence is shaped by five interconnected factors: individual readiness, education system design, institutional policies, continuous digital training, and validated assessment tools. Furthermore, digital competence moderates the effectiveness of emerging technologies such as AI and supports holistic care delivery. The novelty of this study lies in its integrative mapping of empirical and conceptual evidence to address existing research gaps. This review offers theoretical insight and practical implications for educators, healthcare managers, and policymakers committed to advancing digital transformation in health systems.

Abstract

This systematic literature review (SLR) aims to identify the key factors influencing the actual use of Electronic Medical Records in hospitals. Applying the PRISMA method, 184 articles were screened, with eight studies meeting strict inclusion criteria (2020–2025). The findings reveal that usage is shaped by the interplay of four key dimensions: technical, psychological, organizational, and social. Technically, system interoperability and data reliability are essential. Psychologically, user trust, satisfaction, and privacy perception drive sustained usage. Organizational support, including training and policies, enhances adoption, while social aspects such as digital literacy and access inequality influence successful implementation. This review highlights the need for a multidimensional and context-sensitive approach to ensure the effective integration of Electronic Medical Record systems in healthcare settings.

Abstract

The acceleration of global digital transformation has reshaped the landscape of human capital development, demanding new competencies, adaptive leadership, and rapid organizational change. Indonesia, as one of the fastest-growing digital economies in Southeast Asia, faces structural opportunities and challenges in strengthening its human capital to remain competitive in global markets. This paper analyzes the dynamics of digital transformation in shaping human capital development in Indonesia compared with global practices, drawing upon frameworks from the World Economic Forum, OECD, McKinsey, and international human capital development models. Using a qualitative descriptive approach supported by secondary data, this study finds that Indonesia’s human capital transformation is progressing but still constrained by digital skill gaps, unequal access to digital infrastructure, and insufficient integration between industry needs and education systems. Meanwhile, global leaders—such as Finland, Singapore, South Korea, and Germany—demonstrate successful models of competency-based education, lifelong learning ecosystems, and strong digital governance. This comparative analysis concludes that Indonesia must accelerate digital skill mastery, strengthen cross-sector collaboration, and adopt globally tested frameworks to optimize human capital readiness for the digital economy.
