Abstract

The background of this research was the lack of  student’s learning motivation. Locus of control and student’s perception about education became factors that can predict student’s learning motivation. This research is aimed to describe: (1) locus of control, (2) student’s perception about education, (3) learning motivation, and examine: (4) the relationship between locus of control with learning motivation, (5) the relationship between student’s perception about education with learning motivation, and (6) the relationship between locus of control and student’s perception about education with learning motivation. This research applied quantitative method with a descriptive correlational. The populations of this research were 623 students of SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang in grade X and XI and the samples were 243 students, that were chosen by using proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instrument of the research was a model likert scale. The implication of this research can be made as a need assessment to make a program of guidance dan counseling service in SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang.

Abstract

The research objective was to develop thematic teaching materials based on Problem Based Learning in the two sub-theme of the diversity of living things in grade IV elementary schools. The development of teaching materials is motivated by the need for learning that can improve students' ability in problem solving, the ability to think critically, and foster curiosity. This type of research is development research (research and development). The development model used is the 4-D model which consists of the stages of defining, designing, developing and disseminating. The define stage will carry out an analysis of the curriculum, student analysis and needs analysis. The design stage is carried out by designing the lesson plans and teaching materials. The development stage is carried out by testing the validity, practicality and effectiveness test. The disseminate stage cannot be carried out because of the covid pandemic 19. The results of the research at the design stage obtained RPP and teaching materials designed by following PBL steps. The development stage based on the validity test of teaching materials is categorized as valid. At the effectiveness stage, the results showed that the teaching materials were effective so that they were easy to use by fourth grade students of SDN 03 Muaro. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the thematic learning tools based on Problem Based Learning on the sub-theme of the Diversity of Living Things for grade IV SD that have been produced can be declared valid, practical and effective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model kooperatif tipe course review horay. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif course review horay  pada aktivitas dan hasil belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif bentuk quasy eksperimental design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini merupakan seluruh siswa kelas IV Gugus Bina Budaya Durian Tinggi. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling dan pengumpulan data berupa lembar observasi aktivitas siswa dan tes hasil belajar siswa. Adapun uji data aktivitas belajar dianalisis menggunakan chi kuadrat dan dari data hasil belajar siswa berdistribusi normal dan homogen menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan aktivitas siswa dan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model course review horay dengan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan metode konvensional pada pembelajaran matematika kelas IV SD dengan taraf signifikan 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe course review horay efektif untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SD.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kegiatan belajar siswa prestasi tinggi, sedang dan rendah dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas IV, serta faktor yang mempengaruhi kegiatan belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan 6 orang informan. Teknik pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data ini diolah dengan cara mereduksi data, penyajian data, terakhir penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian di kelas IV MIS tahfidz Rabbani Kota Solok menggambarkan bahwa siswa prestasi tinggi selalu mempersiapkan diri dan perlengkapan belajar sebelum pembelajaran di mulai, menyimak penjelasan guru, mencatat, berani mengemukakan pendapat, serta melakukan latihan dengan membahas soal-soal yang ada. Sementara siswa prestasi sedang, kurang mempersiapkan diri sebelum mengikuti pembelajaran, kurang fokus dalam menyimak penjelasan guru, jarang mengemukakan pendapat, serta kurang melakukan latihan setelah pembelajaran. Siswa prestasi rendah sangat kurang dalam mempersiapkan diri dan sering lupa membawa perlengkapan belajar, tidak memperhatikan guru saat menjelaskan pelajaran, tidak mau bertanya, serta tidak melakukan latihan setelah pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan kiyai, hubungan teman sejawat terhadap budaya pesantren terhadap pembentukan karakter. Penelitian dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Modern Taman Pendidikan Ulama Zuama (TAPUZ) yang beralamat di Desa Marunggi Kota Pariaman Sumtera Barat. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh santri yang ada di Pondok Pesantren TAPUZ yang berjumlah 285 orang, Adapun jumlah sampelnya adalah sebanyak 115 orang menggunakan Teknik stratified proportional random sampling. Hasil pengolahan data yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan secara langsung maupun tidak langsung dari variable kepemimpinan kiyai, hubungan teman sejawat, budaya pesantren terhadap pembentukan karakter santri.

Abstract

Effective urban waste management is crucial, encompassing various dimensions such as financial, technical, legal, environmental, spatial planning, socio-cultural aspects, and stakeholder involvement. The household waste management landfill in Regional Payakumbuh is currently overcapacity, and the city lacks an independent waste landfill. This quantitative research utilizes Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) version 3.0 to analyze data, a method within Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The study population consists of 120 households in the Talang Payakumbuh Barat neighborhood, selected using proportional random sampling. Results indicate that the education level of the West Payakumbuh community positively influences waste management. This is supported by a P value of 0.044 (< 0.05), with a t-statistic of 1.786 (lower than 1.96). The original sample value of 0.188 is positive, leading to the acceptance of hypothesis H1. Similarly, the type of occupation significantly and positively influences community participation in waste management in Payakumbuh, supported by a P value of 0.022 (< 0.05) and a t-statistic of 4.351 (> 1.96). The original sample value of 0.463 is positive, confirming the acceptance of hypothesis H2. Additionally, community income has a positive and significant impact on their participation in waste management in Payakumbuh, as evidenced by a P value of 0.031 (< 0.05), a t-statistic of 2.292 (> 1.96), and an original sample value of 0.031. Hence, hypothesis H3 is accepted. Community participation in waste management in Payakumbuh is also influenced by social and cultural factors. The diversity in educational backgrounds and occupations presents unique challenges, contributing to the creation of a clean and comfortable city environment. This research emphasizes the need for integrated waste management strategies and community involvement to address the waste disposal challenges faced by Payakumbuh.
