Abstract

The use of teaching materials in elementary schools is not optimal, teachers tend to only use students' books as teaching materials. To overcome this problem, integrated thematic teaching materials were developed with the Discovery Learning model using interactive multimedia Adobe Flash CS6 in class V of elementary schools. This research aims to develop integrated thematic teaching material products with the Discovery Learning model using interactive multimedia Adobe Flash CS6. This research uses research and development (R&D) methods with the ADDIE development model. In the ADDIE development model there are five main stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Validation is carried out to determine the suitability of the teaching materials developed. The material aspect obtained 91.81% in the very valid category, the media aspect obtained 90.83% in the very valid category, and the language aspect obtained 96% in the very valid category. At the Implementation stage, practicality tests and effectiveness tests are carried out. The results of the practicality test with teachers obtained an average of 95%, by teachers and 86% by students in the very practical category. Effectiveness testing was carried out on aspects of student motivation and learning outcomes. The motivation aspect obtained an average of 83% in the very high category. Learning outcomes in the knowledge aspect, posttest scores at SDN 09 Selayo were 82.66 with a Good predicate, and at SDN 24 Selayo 85.33 with a Good predicate. From the research conducted, it can be stated that integrated thematic teaching materials with a discovery learning model using Adobe Flash CS6 interactive multimedia are valid, practical and effective for use in class V elementary schools

Abstract

This research aims to develop IPAS teaching materials using a Project Learning approach assisted by the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker application to increase the learning motivation of fourth-grade elementary school students. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) research using a 4-D development model consisting of four stages: analysis, design, development, and implementation. The media developed is science and technology teaching materials using a Project Learning approach assisted by the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker application to increase the learning motivation of fourth-grade elementary school students. The results of the research show that: the validity test of IPAS teaching materials obtained an overall validity value of 91.80 % in the very valid category; The teacher's practicality results were 93.30 % in the convenient category and the students' practicality results obtained a percentage of 93.50 % in the convenient category; the effectiveness used in increasing the learning motivation of fourth-grade elementary school students received an N-gain value of 0.73 in the high category. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that the IPAS teaching materials using the Project Based Learning approach assisted by the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker application to increase the learning motivation of fourth-grade elementary school students are valid, practical and effective and can increase the learning motivation of fourth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Work-family conflict (WFC) is a psychosocial problem that arises due to a mismatch between work and family role demands, which impacts an individual's psychological well-being. The high impact of WFC requires the availability of accurate, valid, and reliable measurement instruments. This study aims to test the validity and reliability of the Work-Family Conflict instrument using the Rasch Model. The study involved 60 married working women respondents. The instrument was developed based on the Greenhaus and Beutell framework, which includes time-based, strain-based, and behavior-based conflict dimensions with a Likert response format. Data analysis was conducted using Winsteps software to evaluate item suitability, reliability, and unidimensionality. The results showed that 19 of the 22 items were declared valid, item reliability was very high (0.94-0.95), and the unidimensionality assumption was met, although there was overlap in the middle response category. Overall, the instrument has good psychometric quality and is relevant for use in the context of Guidance and Counseling.

Abstract

The integration of gamification into career guidance services offers an innovative approach to addressing the challenge of student work-readiness in the digital era. This systematic literature review explores the potential of gamification to enhance students' employability skills through career guidance interventions. Following PRISMA 2020 guidelines, the study analyzed 12 peer-reviewed articles from Scopus and Google Scholar databases published between 2020-2025. The findings reveal that gamification elements, including simulations, serious games, and metaverse-based environments, effectively develop both hard skills (technical competencies, financial literacy) and soft skills (critical thinking, teamwork, communication) aligned with industry demands. Gamification significantly increases students' intrinsic motivation, self-efficacy, and engagement in career planning, facilitating more informed career decision-making and smoother transitions to the job market. The review identifies key implementation challenges, including high technological costs, limited digital literacy, and the need for faculty training. Despite these barriers, gamification demonstrates particular promise in diverse geographical contexts, from developed to developing countries, offering adaptable solutions for various institutional settings. This study contributes to the limited literature on gamification in career guidance by synthesizing current evidence and providing practical recommendations for higher education institutions seeking to systematically integrate gamified approaches into career curricula. Such integration, supported by cross-sector collaboration and attention to sociocultural factors, can enhance graduate employability and support lifelong learning in an increasingly competitive global workforce.
