Abstract

Early Childhood learning prioritizes developing cognitive intelligence rather thanaffective intelligence or character building. This research is a type of exploratory descriptiveresearch. Exploratory descriptive research aims to describe the state of a phenomenon. Thisresearch is not intended to test certain hypotheses, only to describe what a variable, symptomor condition is. This research wants to further analyze related to early childhood charactereducation based on Kohlberg using literature studies obtained from various scientificsources. The urgency of character education for each individual is an absolute thing to do asan effort to build a generation that contributes to the progress of the nation. Charactereducation efforts certainly cannot escape from the psychological aspects contained inindividuals which may influence the process of achieving the success of character buildingitself. One of the most significant individual psychological aspects for the development ofindividual personality is the moral aspect.

Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of an AI chatbot for improving English language skills among Indonesian university students. In order to address the research question, the researchers conducted an analysis of responses to a 20-item questionnaire distributed via Google Form among a sample of 95 university students. The survey was conducted to evaluate student perceptions of the chatbot's usability, language accuracy, feedback quality, and overall strengths. The findings revealed high student satisfaction with all aspects of the chatbot. Students agreed that the chatbot was user-friendly, understood their questions, provided helpful feedback, and offered valuable learning opportunities. These results align with previous research on the effectiveness of chatbots in enhancing English language proficiency. The study suggests that AI chatbots can be a beneficial tool for both independent language practice and supplementing classroom instruction. The chatbot's ability to personalise learning experiences and adapt to individual needs contributes to improved student engagement and language acquisition. This research adds to the growing body of evidence supporting the use of AI chatbots in computer-assisted language learning (CALL). Future research could investigate the effectiveness of the chatbot for learners with varying proficiency levels.

Abstract

Giving questions in a speaking class is necessary to encourage students to speak in the target language. It is challenging for the teacher to carry out suitable questions in the teaching learning process. This study investigates the types of teacher questions, how the students respond to the teacher questions, and which teacher question type encourages and discourages students from speaking along with the reasons. A case study was used as a research method to explore teacher questions' role in creating active learning as seen from student responses in an English course in Indonesia. The data were gathered through observation, documentation (audio-recording and field notes), and interviews. The result shows that display/close-ended question types became the most posed questions by the teachers and were more influential to students’ speaking skills because they were frequently asked questions and responded to by the students excitedly as a group or individually. However, it was also less influential because the students received no responses in several times and the teachers gave excessive responses. Meanwhile, the choral response became the most response that students gave. This study underscores that display/close-ended questions are good enough for beginners to encourage them to speak but should not be excessive.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan bekal bagi kehidupan manusia dalam menghadapi tantangan perkembangan zaman. Untuk mendukung pendidikan yang lebih baik pemerintah membuat kebijakan baru terkait Program Merdeka Belajar. Kebijakan tersebut memiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan skill kompetensi lulusan agar dapat bersaing di era perkembangan zaman yang semakin dinamis. Konsep merdeka belajar menekankan pada aspek kebebasan, kemandirian, dan fleksibilitas Lembaga pendidikan dalam memahami kompetensi peserta didik. Hal tersebut selaras dengan perspektif teori pendidikan konstruktivisme. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah merumuskan konsep merdeka belajar dengan teori belajar konstruktivisme agar didapat makna yang senada dimana pembelajaran ialah berbasis pengalaman langsung serta kebebasan merupakan unsur penting dalam lingkungan belajar. Dari kajian Pustaka tersebut diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa kebebasan dan kemandirian siswa dalam pengembangan diri dapat diwujudnkan melalui konsep dasar teori belajar konstruktivisme.

Abstract

E-learning saat ini di dunia pendidikan harus membantu mencegah penyebaran COVID-1 Penggunaan e-learning yang muncul secara tiba-tiba tanpa persiapan, mendorong para guru untuk melakukan perubahan kurikulum. Toeri konetivisme pada siswa sekolah dasar berkaitan dengan E-Learning. E-Learning mempermudah penyebaran informasi melalui media sosial. Pasca pandemic penyebaran informasi terkait pembelajaran siswa sekolah dasar sangat cepat dan mudah. Pencarian informasi bisa dilakukan dimanapun dan kapanpun sehingga perlu adanya bimbingan dari guru dan orang tua supaya siswa sekolah dasar tidak tersesat kedalam informasi yang negative atau informasi yang tidak benar. . Teori konektivisme goerge siemes memeiliki 8 prinsip yaitu 1. Pembelajaran dan pengetahuan diperoleh dari pandangan-pandangan/opini yang berbeda-beda 2. Pembelajaran adalah proses menghubungkan informasi-informasi yang ada 3. Pembelajaran dapat dilakukan dalam perangkat teknologi 4. Kapasitas untuk mengetahui lebih banyak informasi itu lebih penting daripada apa yang diketahui sekarang 5. Abstract

Students' reading motivation is likely low due to internal and external factors. The internal factors, for example, are intelligence, age, gender, reading ability, attitudes, and psychological needs. The external factors include the theme, level of reading difficulty, and the type of reading. This research was conducted to know whether the use of Content Differentiated Instructions (CoDI) in teaching could affect students' motivation in reading, especially descriptive text. This kind of text was chosen because it is the simplest text among five other kinds of text that are given to beginner-level students, in this case, students of junior high school. The researcher tried to find out whether the implementation of CoDI could affect the students’ motivation in reading.  In this study, the researcher used a qualitative method.  The data used were in the form of answers or student responses in the form of questionnaires. The result was that using CoDI affects the students’ motivation in reading descriptive text.

Abstract

Character education has become crucial in individual development, especially in today's modern era. This article explains an effective approach to character formation through extracurricular, teenage scientific groups, by integrating Al-Ghazali perspectives. The main focus is on Al-Ghazali's views of ethics, morality, and positive moral development. The extracurricular scientific groups of adolescents have the potential to achieve character education goals. By defining the purpose of the group, its relationship with the character, and the methods of development used, this article analyzes the compatibility of Al-Ghazali values with the activity of the teenage scientific group. Case studies highlight the implementation of this concept, evaluate the positive impact on group members, and highlight the role of guidance. Challenges and opportunities in integrating traditional concepts into modern contexts were also discussed. In conclusion, this article provides an in-depth insight into how extracurricular teenage scientific groups can be an effective medium in shaping characters according to Al-Ghazali's views.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilaksanakan oleh Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto mengeksplorasi efektivitas integrasi nilai-nilai karakter Mohammad Hatta dalam program pendidikan antikorupsi. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh nilai-nilai integritas, kejujuran, dan tanggung jawab terhadap etos antikorupsi di kalangan mahasiswa. Melalui metode kualitatif yang mencakup wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen kurikulum, penelitian ini mengungkapkan hasil positif dari integrasi nilai-nilai tersebut, meskipun ada beberapa hambatan dalam implementasinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai ini telah berhasil diinternalisasi dalam kurikulum dan praktik pembelajaran, dengan dosen dan mahasiswa sama-sama mengakui manfaatnya. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan materi dan metode pembelajaran yang lebih adaptif dan relevan dengan tantangan kontemporer. Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto telah mengambil inisiatif untuk mengadopsi pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif melalui studi kasus, role-playing, dan simulasi, serta integrasi teknologi untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai antikorupsi. Implementasi temuan ini diharapkan tidak hanya memperkuat dasar etika mahasiswa tetapi juga membekali mereka dengan keterampilan praktis untuk menjadi agen perubahan sosial yang positif dan bertanggung jawab.

Abstract

Education is very important to build individuals who are in accordance with the values and culture of their society. The purpose of this study is to describe the relevance of Immanuel Kant's Idealism Philosophy in character education in elementary schools. Kant's view of this philosophy shows how important it is to build the intellect, stick to objective moral principles, and respect human dignity. The purpose of this character education is to produce people who have good character, reason, and act morally in everyday life. This study uses qualitative research with a literature approach through purposive sampling technique. Books, journals, papers, articles, and other scientific works relevant to the research subject are used in this study. The data analysis process uses the content analysis method that focuses on Kant's Idealism theory in teaching character education in elementary schools. The results show that the purpose of character education in elementary schools is to foster students' ethics, morals, values and characters. Some of the main values of character education emphasized by Immanuel Kant's philosophy of idealism are as follows: curiosity, national spirit, and love for the country, religion, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creativity, independence, environmental care, social care, responsibility, and love to read. Character education is very important to build students' character and make elementary school a good place to learn.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian pada artikel ini ada dua. 1) Mendeskripsikan kemampuan kepala sekolah dalam memberi inspirasi para guru untuk menumbuhkembangkan pembelajaran 2) Mengeksplorasi kemampuan kepala sekolah dalam menstimulus ide kreatif para guru untuk menumbuhkembangkan pembelajaran.  Jenis penelitian ini kualitatif etnografi. Subjek penelitian kepala sekolah, guru, karyawan dan komite sekolah. Metode pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dengan model alur. Proses analisis data reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian: 1) Kepala sekolah menunjukkan penumbuhan inspirasi dengan melalui pemutaran video inspiratif, kegiatan menulis dan program inspiring monday.  Kepala sekolah mengkomunikasikan visi, misi dan tujuan secara jelas kepada bawahan serta memberikan keteladanan dalam memimpin. 2) Stimulus ide kreatif kepala SD Muhammadiyah Birrul Walidain Kudus kepada para guru dengan memberikan tantangan dalam menumbuhkembangkan diri dan kompetensinya menjadi lebih baik.
