Abstract

Background: Shadow fleet threatens Indonesia’s maritime sovereignty, particularly in cases of marine pollution caused by vessel activities. Incidents involving MT Arman 114 and MT Freya reveal gaps in flag state responsibility that infringes upon Indonesian waters. In this context, tensions emerge between coastal State stability and flag State obligations, exacerbated by the evasive and regulatory-avoidant characteristics of shadow fleet operations. Methodology: This study employs a normative legal methodology using both a statutory and a conceptual approach. The secondary data are derived from instruments such as the 1982 UNCLOS, MARPOL 73/78, the 2001 ILC Draft, the 1974 SOLAS, as well as Indonesian regulations, namely Law No. 17 of 2008 and Law No. 32 of 2009, and relevant legal principles. The data are analyzed qualitatively to assess the conformity between das sollen and das sein. Objectives: This research discusses the legal implications of the shadow fleet regarding Indonesia’s maritime sovereignty. It principally examines how effectively the UNCLOS framework governs flag State responsibility for shadow fleet concerning the risk of marine pollution ion coastal State waters. Findings: UNCLOS establishes the flag state’s responsibility for marine pollution resulting from shadow fleet practices through the genuine link principle. In practice, however, remediation burdens frequently shift to coastal States and private actorsm as flag States often fail to discharge their obligations. Novelty: This research provides a distinct scholarly contribution by examining the foundational dimension of the implications of environmentally harmful shadow fleet practices, specifically the responsibility of the flag State.

Abstract

This research is based on problems that often occur in the school environment, one of these problems is the fading of nationalist values. Among the factors that influence this is the process of globalization. Several studies say that there is a weakening or shallowing of Nationalism among the younger generation. Triatna (2013) said that in the current era of globalization, the spirit of nationalism among the younger generation is experiencing a decline. The weakening of the spirit of nationalism in the younger generation could be a risk of weakening the values ​​of patriotism which are the basis of our love for our beloved homeland. The aim of the research is to find out whether there is an influence of extracurricular activities on the practice of nationalist values ​​at SMKN 4 Pekanbaru. This research uses quantitative methods with a statistical approach. This research was conducted using observation, questionnaire and documentation methods. Based on the results of statistical data tests, it was obtained that Fhit ≥ Ftab, namely 78.013 ≥ 4.09, this means that the hypothesis in this study is accepted. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination value was 0.667. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the influence of Paskibra Extracurricular on the Practice of Nationalist Values ​​at SMKN 4 Pekanbaru is 66.7% at the "Strong" level.

Abstract

This research is motivated by efforts to improve character education and the desire to build students' civic character which is increasingly important in line with the phenomenon of moral degradation which often occurs among students who do not reflect their civic character. For this reason, efforts are needed to perfect civic character (civic disposition) which can not only be done through PPKn learning, but can also be done through extracurricular scout activities. The aim of this research is to find out whether there is a positive influence of scouting extracurricular activities on strengthening civic disposition at MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. This research method is quantitative with a statistical approach. The population in this study was all students who took part in special scouting extracurriculars, consisting of 40 students, consisting of class VII and class VIII. The sample in this research is the entire population or also called total sampling. Data analysis in this study used the normality test, linearity test, simple linear regression test, coefficient test (R) and correlation of determination (R-square), and hypothesis testing. The hypothesis in this study was accepted, which showed Fcount ≥ Ftable (14.933 ≥ 4.098) and the results of this study showed that Scout Extracurriculars had a Positive Influence on strengthening Civic Disposition at MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. This can be seen from the results of calculating the coefficient of determination (R-square) of 0.517, which means that scout extracurricular activities (independent variable) have an influence on strengthening civic disposition (dependent variable) by 51.7%, while 48.3% is influenced by other variables. not examined in this study.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a phenomenon that occurred at MAN 2 Pekanbaru City. Based on the results of observations, there is a lack of spiritual intelligence among students, which can be seen from the way students speak using dirty words that are inappropriate for being a madrasa student and neglecting to perform prayers. The aim of this research is to find out whether there is an influence of Rohis extracurriculars on the spiritual intelligence of students at MAN 2 Pekanbaru City. The population in this study were 60 students who took part in the Rohis extracurricular at MAN 2 Pekanbaru City. Sample determination was carried out using the total technique. sampling. The data collection methods used are observation, questionnaires and documentation. Data processing uses quantitative descriptive statistical analysis using a simple linear regression formula with the help of the SPSS version 25 application. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there is an influence of spiritual extracurriculars on students' spiritual intelligence, namely 44%. Thus, the hypothesis in this research is accepted, which indicates that the Rohis extracurricular has a positive effect on the spiritual intelligence of students at MAN 2 Pekanbaru City. This is reinforced by the calculation results of the coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.440, which shows that the Rohis extracurricular variable has an influence of 44.0% on students' spiritual intelligence.

Abstract

This research was motivated by several cases of bullying that occurred in the school environment which certainly violated students' rights to get comfort in the learning process. Students who are victims of bullying will experience adverse effects that are certainly not good for the future of students. This study aims to find out how the role of teachers in bullying prevention in SMP Negeri 1 Rengat Barat. Data collection techniques in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants in this study consisted of 17 (seventeen) people, namely from Guidance Counseling (BK) teachers, subject teachers, principals, school supervisors, school committees, and students. Data analysis techniques in this study used a qualitative approach. The findings in this study explain that teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Rengat Barat have several ways to prevent bullying through the role of teachers which are divided into two, namely in preventive actions and curative actions. Preventive actions are taken in the prevention of bullying by implementing the role of teachers as Correctors, Inspirers and Motivators, Demonstrators, and Class Managers. Curative action is by implementing the role of teachers as Mediators Facilitators and Evaluators. The role of teachers who show preventive actions can be done by knowing the signs of bullying through complaints from other students it seems that students who are victims are often aloof and look set aside from their other friends. The role of teachers who show curative action is to provide space for victims to tell their experiences related to bullying and if teachers find cases of bullying must immediately process the problem and find the best solution.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the results of observations out at MTs Attaufiqiyah that problems were found such as students behaving disrespectfully towards parents and teachers, students smoking in the school environment, student dressing inappropriately according to school rules, and mutual bullying among students. The formulation of the problem in this research is wheter there is an influence of muhadharah extracurricular activities on the formation of students’ religious character at MTs Attaufiqiyah. The population in this study was all 100 MTs Attaufiqiyah students and sampling in this study used the Isaac and Michael formula with an error rate of 5 %, so that out of the 100 students taken as samples there were 78 students. The data collection methods used in this research are observation, questionnaires and documentation. Processing the data using a simple linear regression formula is obtained by Fcount ≥ Ftable, namely 41.126 ≥ 3,967, thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that variable (Religious Character) 0f 37,3 %.

Abstract

This study analyzes the strengthening of moral values ​​through OSIS activities at SMA Negeri 3 Pekanbaru. Education serves not only to transfer knowledge but also as a tool for building character and morals, which are increasingly threatened by the influence of globalization and digitalization. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study involved OSIS advisors and OSIS members as primary informants selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through observation and interviews to describe the dynamics of instilling moral values ​​in organizational practices. The research findings indicate that OSIS plays a vital role in developing leadership, a sense of responsibility, discipline, and social awareness among students. OSIS members experienced a shift in attitude from a personal focus to social sensitivity, empathy, and solidarity. Internal conflicts such as competition or differences of opinion serve as a platform for moral learning, particularly in terms of emotional and ego control. The advisors emphasized that OSIS is more than just an implementer of school programs, but rather a moral laboratory where students internalize values ​​through habits, examples, and social activities. Activities such as fundraising for disasters and humanitarian aid foster empathy and shared responsibility. The integration of rational logic and religious values ​​in the development of the Student Council (OSIS) further strengthens students' ability to make wise decisions while maintaining ethical behavior. Overall, the OSIS at SMA Negeri 3 Pekanbaru has proven effective in shaping students into individuals with character, responsibility, and concern for others. This research emphasizes the importance of designing an OSIS program oriented toward moral education to create a generation that excels not only academically but also possesses integrity in social life. Abstract

This research is motivated by the declining level of discipline among students at SMA Negeri 1 Peranap, as indicated by behaviors such as arriving late, skipping school, not submitting assignments on time, and violating school regulations. Scouting extracurricular activities should contribute to the formation of students' disciplined character. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of scouting extracurricular activities on the formation of students' disciplined character at SMA Negeri 1 Peranap. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 48 students who actively participate in scouting extracurricular activities, consisting of 29 statement items, to obtain data on variables X and Y. The sample was determined using a total sampling technique. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression in SPSS version 27. The results showed that scouting extracurricular activities had a positive effect on students' disciplined character. This is known from the simple linear regression equation, which yields Ŷ = 26.854 + 0.307X, indicating that an increase in scouting extracurricular activities is followed by an increase in student discipline. The results of the F test show that the F count (6.461) is greater than the F table value (4.052); thus, the research hypothesis is accepted. In addition, the coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.123 indicates that scouting extracurricular activities account for 12.3% of the variation in student discipline character, while the remaining 87.7% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study.
