Abstract

This study discusses the intervention of cannibalism and disease spread with Holling Type II response function in the predator-prey model. It is assumed that disease infection is limited to the prey population and cannot be cured so that in this model there are three subpopulations namely susceptible prey, infected prey and predators. In addition, there is cannibalism in the predator population. The objectives of this study include constructing a predator-prey model with cannibalism intervention and disease infection in prey using Holling Type II response function, identifying the stability of the equilibrium point of the model and interpreting the model based on simulation results. Analysis of the stability of the equilibrium point is carried out with a linearization approach and the Routh-Hurwitz criterion was used to determine equilibrium stability. Based on the stability analysis, 5 (five) equilibrium points are obtained, namely population extinction, susceptible prey exists, predator extinction, infected prey extinction and population exists where the population extinction equilibrium point is unstable and the other equilibrium points are stable with the certain conditions. From the simulation, it is obtained that the numerical results are in accordance with the analytical results of the stability analysis of the equilibrium point of the model and for infinite time, there will be no population extinction while the state of susceptible prey exists, predator extinction, infected prey extinction and population exists can occur if the stability conditions are met. Based on the numerical simulations, it was found that changes in the parameter values of the rate of change of susceptible prey to infected prey and the coefficient of predator cannibalism in day-1 can cause changes in the type of stability of the equilibrium point. Thus, rate of change susceptible prey to infected prey and the coefficient of predator cannibalism affects the population of prey and predator.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the evaluation instruments for sentence structure (tarkib) and vocabulary (mufrodat) in the Arabic language textbook for ninth grade published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, section al-Haflu bi maulidi ar-Rasul ﷺ. The approach used is qualitative descriptive and content analysis to assess the alignment of the questions with the theory formulated by Muhammad A’li Al-Khuli in his book Al-Ikhtibaarot Al-Lughowiyyah. This research uses the Miles and Huberman data analysis model, which includes data collection, reduction, presentation, and verification to obtain valid and systematic findings. The research results reveal that the details of the analyzed questions can be classified into categories of question items as outlined in the book Al-Ikhtibaarot Al-Lughowiyyah, showing a combination of various types of question items. Out of a total of 51 items, there are 31 items of composition and vocabulary according to the evaluation categories formulated by Muhammad A’li Al-Khuli in Al-Ikhtibaarot Al-Lughowiyyah, 26 composition items and 5 vocabulary items, while the rest do not conform to the evaluation categories according to Muhammad A’li Al-Khuli in his book. This study emphasizes the importance of developing evaluation instruments that are in accordance with linguistic theory to be effective in measuring the achievement of student competencies in learning Arabic.

Abstract

Millennials and Generation Z in Batam City play a significant role in the local economic dynamics, particularly in investment activities. This study aims to analyze the influence of investment experience, financial behavior, and risk tolerance on investment decisions among Millennials and Gen Z. The study highlights the importance of financial literacy and experience in shaping rational investment behavior among young investors in urban economic settings. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software for data analysis. Data were collected through an online survey using purposive sampling, involving 204 respondents residing in Batam who are actively investing in the stock market. The results indicate that investment experience significantly influences both investment decisions and risk tolerance. Similarly, financial behavior shows a significant effect on both variables. Furthermore, risk tolerance has a significant impact on investment decisions. These findings suggest that the higher the investment experience and the better the financial behavior, the greater the individual’s risk tolerance, which in turn affects their investment decisions.

Abstract

This community service aims to improve digital financial literacy for housewives, so that they can manage family finances more effectively and efficiently, and utilize digital technology to improve their economic welfare. Digital financial literacy includes an understanding of how to use technology to manage finances, such as online banking, e-wallets, and financial management applications. However, many housewives still have limited knowledge and skills in this area. This also happens to families who live in the Barelang Mega Jaya Sejati Housing Complex. The method used for this community service activity is the lecture and discussion method, so that a positive interactive dialogue occurs in order to produce several solutions to these problems. The results of this community service activity can have a positive impact on improving digital financial literacy for housewives.

Abstract

Business development in Batam City is rapidly increasing, creating intense competition among companies. In this context, it is crucial for companies to implement effective marketing strategies to attract consumers. This study aims to examine the purchasing decision model of EcoKing products by considering three independent variables: brand image, promotion, and electronic word of mouth (E-WOM). The research method used is quantitative with hypothesis testing. Data was obtained through questionnaires distributed to 204 respondents who are consumers of EcoKing products. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression, including validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, influence tests, and hypothesis testing. The results show that brand image, promotion, and E-WOM, both partially and simultaneously, have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions for EcoKing products in Batam City.

Abstract

In the increasingly advanced digital era, the development of information and communication technology has changed the way consumers make decisions to buy products. E-commerce platforms such as Bukalapak are now the main choice for shopping. The purpose of this study was to examine the extent to which E-WOM, trust, and ease of use influence purchasing decisions on Bukalapak in Batam City. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive method, involving respondents who are Bukalapak users in Batam City in 2024. Because the population size is not known for certain, the sample was taken using the Jacob Cohen formula, resulting in 204 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data obtained were analyzed using data quality tests, classical assumption tests, and influence tests and hypothesis tests. The results of the t-test, E-WOM is proven to have a positive and significant partial influence on purchasing decisions, trust is proven to have a positive and significant partial influence on purchasing decisions, ease of use is proven to have a positive and significant partial influence on purchasing decisions. The results of the F test show that E-WOM, trust, and ease of use also have a positive and significant simultaneous influence on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

The development of digital banking technology, particularly internet banking, has rapidly advanced in the digitalization era. However, the adoption of this service still faces various challenges, especially those related to user perception. This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived risk on the interest of Batam City residents in using internet banking services. This research employs a quantitative method by collecting data through questionnaires distributed to potential internet banking users in Batam City. The obtained data is analyzed using multiple linear regression methods. The results indicate that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use have a positive and significant effect on the intention to use internet banking, while perceived risk has a negative and significant effect. These findings suggest that increasing awareness of the benefits and ease of use of internet banking can encourage its adoption, while concerns about risks should be minimized by banks to enhance user trust. Keywords: Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Risk, Intention to Use Internet Banking.

Abstract

: The aim of this research is to develop creative gymnastics to stimulate basic motor skills in early childhood, especially in the age range of 5-6 years. This research employs the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The study uses a questionnaire as an instrument for expert reviews and an evaluation instrument for users, specifically 5-6-year-old children. The results of product validity testing by two content experts yielded a final score of 95%. The product's validity testing by gymnastics experts resulted in a final score of 82%. The effectiveness test on 5-6-year-old children produced a score of 87%. The research results indicate that creative gymnastics meet the criteria. Creative gymnastics as a physical activity can practically be used as a gross motor learning activity for teachers due to its variability.
