Abstract

Financial analysis is vital for evaluating company performance, aiding stakeholders in making informed decisions. The Current Ratio and Quick Ratio gauge liquidity, while Return on Assets (ROA) assesses profitability. The Food and Beverage industry, encompassing diverse businesses, faces distinct challenges and opportunities due to changing consumer preferences and competition. Analyzing listed Food and Beverage companies on the Indonesian Stock Exchange provides insights into their financial strategies. This study aims to determine the impact of the Current Ratio and Quick Ratio on Return on Assets in companies within the Food and Beverage sub-sector that are listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. The study's population comprises Food and Beverage companies that have been listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2017 to 2021. A total of 12 companies were selected for observation and data analysis. The collected data underwent tests for Normality, Multicollinearity, and Heteroscedasticity. The analysis employed multiple linear techniques. The findings revealed that the Current Ratio has a positive and significant influence on Return on Assets (ROA), while the Quick Ratio has a negative and insignificant impact on Return on Assets (ROA). Additionally, both the Current Ratio and Quick Ratio, when considered simultaneously, exert an influence on Return on Assets (ROA).

Abstract

In the dynamic landscape of current organizations, the performance of employees is a pivotal factor in achieving goals and maintaining competitiveness. A multitude of variables can significantly influence employee performance, with work discipline and work motivation being of particular importance. The Competency Development Center of PUPR VIII, located in the Makassar region, serves as the setting for this research, where the intricate interplay of these two variables on employee performance is investigated. This research seeks to ascertain the impact of work discipline and work motivation on employee performance within the ambit of the Competency Development Center of PUPR VIII, situated in the Makassar region. The research methodology employed is quantitative, utilizing a sample of 37 employees. Data analysis techniques encompass validity and reliability assessments, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, T-tests, and F-tests. The findings of this study affirm a significant correlation between work discipline (X1) and work motivation (X2) and employee performance (Y), substantiated by T-test and F-test analyses. Furthermore, the results demonstrate that the F-value exceeds the tabulated F-value (0.000 < 0.005). The coefficient of determination, R-square, amounts to 0.494%, underlining the influence of these variables on employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the meaning of adaptive leadership in modern organizations facing transformations in work culture during the era of disruption. Using a phenomenological qualitative approach within the social constructivist paradigm, this research explores the lived experiences of leaders in interpreting change, uncertainty, and human values amid digitalization and organizational complexity. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and non-participant observation involving eight leaders from various industrial sectors in Indonesia and were analyzed using Colaizzi’s phenomenological analysis technique. The findings reveal that adaptive leadership is understood as a reflective and social process rooted in value awareness, empathy, and collective learning capacity. Adaptive leaders not only direct change but also facilitate learning and build trust through open communication and collaborative work cultures. Adaptive values such as flexibility, empathy, and moral reflection are key to shaping inclusive and sustainable organizational cultural transformation. Theoretically, this study extends the discourse on adaptive leadership within phenomenological and social contexts, while practically emphasizing the importance of value-based reflective leadership in navigating disruptive change.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of internal communication and organizational climate on employee job satisfaction at the Center for Learning and Government Management Policy Strategy, National Institute of Public Administration (Pusjar SKMP LAN) Makassar. The research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. The population consisted of all 73 employees of Pusjar SKMP LAN Makassar, and a saturated sampling technique was applied. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed through multiple linear regression after meeting validity, reliability, and classical assumption requirements. The results indicate that internal communication and organizational climate simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction. Partially, internal communication shows a more dominant influence compared to organizational climate. These findings suggest that information clarity, effective communication channels, timely information delivery, and open feedback mechanisms play a crucial role in enhancing job satisfaction. Furthermore, a supportive organizational climate characterized by leadership support and harmonious working relationships strengthens employee comfort and engagement. This study contributes theoretically to the development of human resource management literature in the public sector and provides practical implications for improving internal communication management and organizational climate within government institutions.

Abstract

The oil and gas sector is a strategic sector that plays an important role in supporting the Indonesian economy, but during the 2020–2024 period, this sector experienced stock price fluctuations that were not in line with the company's financial performance. This problem prompted this study, which aims to analyze the effect of liquidity and profitability on stock prices in oil and gas sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2020–2024 period. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression methods and secondary data in the form of annual financial reports from 12 oil and gas sub-sector companies obtained through the official IDX website using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the study indicate that the liquidity variable as measured by the Current Ratio (CR) and profitability as measured by the Net Profit Margin (NPM) do not have a significant effect either partially or simultaneously on stock prices. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 1.8% indicates that stock price variations are more influenced by external factors such as fluctuations in world oil prices, macroeconomic conditions, and energy market sentiment. This study concludes that internal financial ratios have not become the main determinant in stock price movements in the oil and gas sector, so investors need to consider global external factors in making investment decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of reward, work motivation, and workload on employee performance at the Representative Office of the National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN) of South Sulawesi Province. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 96 respondents. The data analysis techniques include validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing using IBM SPSS Statistics Version 25. The results indicate that reward, work motivation, and workload have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, these three variables also have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The coefficient of determination shows that the independent variables explain 48.6% of the variation in employee performance, while the remaining portion is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. These findings suggest that improving reward systems, enhancing work motivation, and optimizing workload management can contribute to better employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of income on fishermen's welfare with competence as an intervening variable in Tanjung Nyiur Marabatuan Village, Pulau Sembilan District, Kotabaru Regency. The primary focus of this study is to examine the effect of income on fishermen's welfare, the effect of income on competence, the effect of competence on fishermen's welfare, and the mediating role of competence in the relationship between income and fishermen's welfare. This study employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The population consisted of all fishermen in Tanjung Nyiur Marabatuan Village, Pulau Sembilan District, Kotabaru Regency. The sampling technique used was probability sampling based on the characteristics of the research population. Data were collected through questionnaires administered to 77 respondents and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the assistance of SmartPLS 4 software to examine both direct and indirect effects among the variables. The results indicate that income has a positive and significant effect on fishermen's welfare. Income also has a positive and significant effect on fishermen's competence. Furthermore, competence has a positive and significant effect on fishermen's welfare. The indirect effect analysis reveals that competence significantly mediates the relationship between income and fishermen's welfare. These findings indicate that higher income, accompanied by improved competence, contributes more substantially to enhancing fishermen's welfare. Therefore, competence plays an important role in strengthening the relationship between income and fishermen's welfare.
