Abstract

This research was conducted to improve the learning outcomes of class VIII SMP S Beer Seba Pekanbaru students by utilizing the problem based learning (PBL) model. This research uses a classroom action research strategy based on Kemmis and Mc Taggart. There are two cycles and each cycles has 4 distinct phases in conducting this research: preparation, implementation, observation, and analysis. A total of seventeen eighth grade students (11 boys and 6 girls) from Beer Seba Middle School in Pekanbaru participated in this research. This research data was collected using test sheets given at the end of the cycle and teacher and student observation sheets given at the beginning of each session. Analyzing student learning outcome data and teacher and student activity data is the data analysis technique used. Analysis of research data shows that the learning process and mathematics learning outcomes have increased between the periods before and after the action. This can be seen from the increase in student completion rates and the increasingly aligned teacher and student activities with the plan for each session. In cycle I, 41.17% of students obtained basic KKM scores; in cycle II this figure increased to 64.7%; and in cycle III it increased again to 82.3%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experiment). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model problem based learning pada peningkatan kemampuan self efficacy siswa kelas VII SMP N 8 Pekanbaru. Indikator self efficacy yang digunakan pada penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 indikator yaitu: (1) Percaya pada kapasitas diri (dimensi Strength), (2) Keyakinan terhadap menyesuaikan diri dan menghadapi tugas-tugas yang kompleks (dimensi Generality), dan (3) Keyakinan dalam mengatasi tantangan (dimensi Magnitude). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis kuantitatif. Analisis kuantitatif yang dilakukan dimulai dari pengujian normalitas dan homogenitas, kemudian dilakukan uji-t untuk melihat apakah terdapat perbedaan antara kelas kontrol dan eksperimen. Setelah didapatkan bahwa semua data berdistribusi normal dan homogen, akan dilakukan uji N-gain untuk melihat apakah terdapat peningkatan kemampuan self efficacy pada siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran melalui PBL. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh hasil bahwa kemampuan self efficacy siswa mengalami peningkatan setelah diberikan perlakuan model PBL. Peningkatan kemampuan self efficacy siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih besar dibandingkan kelas kontrol dengan mean N-Gain sebesar 0,67.

Abstract

The recommendation system is a mechanism for filtering a batch of data into numerous data sets based on what the user wants. Cosine similarity is one of the algorithms used in creating recommendation model. This algorithm employs a calculation approach between two things by measuring the cosine between the two objects to be compared. Image-based recommendation systems were recently introduced since word processing to generate recommendations had the issue of duplicating product descriptions for different types of items. Before processing with cosine similarity, image feature extraction requires the use of a deep learning algorithm, VGG16. The purpose of this research is to make it easier for customers to select the desired electronic goods by providing product recommendations based on product visual similarity. This model is able to recommend 10 products that are similar to the selected product. The presented product has a cosine value near one, and the discrepancy with the selected product's cosine value is modest. The mAP technique was used for model testing, and the smartwatch category received the greatest mAP value of 94.38%, while the headphone category had the lowest value of 70.84%. The average mAP attained is 81.50%. These findings show that mAP accuracy varies by category. This disparity is due to the unequal dataset in each category.

Abstract

Tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum) are one of Indonesia's mainstay horticultural commodities that are exported throughout Southeast Asia. However, the export value of tomatoes in 2021 recorded a decrease of 34.07% from 2020. The decline in the quality and quantity of tomatoes is generally caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, and mite outbreaks that mostly attack the leaves such as late blight and two-spotted spider mite. This research utilizes one of the image processing methods to classify tomato leaf diseases in 3 labels, namely tomato healthy, tomato late blight, and tomato two-spotted spider mite. The image processing algorithm used in this research is Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) which can extract leaf image features in depth through its layer architecture. The VGG16 transfer learning architecture is used in this study because of its simple structure and can be modified by adding a fully connected layer, namely dropout with a value of 0.5 to adjust the model and improve its performance. Green Channel + CLAHE is also applied at the preprocessing stage with an epoch parameter of 30. The dataset used consists of 1,591 images of healthy tomato leaves, 1,909 images of late blight tomato leaves, and 1,676 images of two-spotted spider mite leaves. Two scenarios were conducted on the model, namely the model with callback function and the model without callback function. Based on the training and evaluation of the model that has been carried out, the model with the callback function is able to produce an accuracy value of 99.03% with precision for the labels tomato healthy 0.99, tomato late blight 1.00, and tomato two-spotted spider mite 0.98, and the number of incorrectly predicted images is only 15. This shows a higher value than the model without the callback function. Against 21 test images from other datasets, the model with callback function was able to produce accurate classification with high prediction values.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis validitas modul ajar berbasis SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite dan Review) untuk memfasilitasi kecakapan komunikasi matematis peserta didik kelas VIII SMP pada topik relasi dan fungsi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model pengembangan 4D, namun dibatasi pada tiga tahapan awal yaitu tahap pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), dan tahap pengembangan (development) 3-D yang mencakup tahap pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), dan pengembangan (development). Pengembangan modul ajar hanya dibatasi hingga proses validasi. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar validasi ahli untuk memperoleh penilaian validitas modul ajar. Data dianalisis dengan menghitung persentase skor  validasi yang diberikan oleh 3 validator. Hasil pengembangan menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata persentase validitas sebesar 92% yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat valid. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul ajar yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan selama pembelajaran. Modul ajar berbasis SQ3R dapat digunakan sebagai perangkat pembelajaran untuk menunjang kecakapan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP. Abstract

Ditemukan masalah dari penelitian ini kurangnya aktivitas dan belum meningkatnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru dan menganalisis aktivitas siswa dan keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan model Problem Based Learning. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berlangsung selama IV kali pertemuan. Siswa kelas IV SDN Pemurus Luar 1 Banjarmasin menjadi peserta penelitian yang berjumlah 24 siswa. Analisis informasi menggabungkan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif menjadi ketentuan jenis data yang digunakan. Data kualitatif ditemukan dari observasi aktivitas guru, siswa dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Data kuantitatif ditemukan dari hasil klasikal persentase aktivitas siswa dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Dari pertemuan I ke pertemuan IV ditemukan aktivitas guru dari 24 menjadi 31. Selain itu, pertemuan I sampai dengan IV, keterlibatan siswa meningkat dari 50% menjadi 92%. Kemudian pada pertemuan I sampai dengan IV, kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa berkisar di angka 46% sampai dengan 92%. Dapat disimpulkan hasil penelitian ini terjadi peningkatan aktivitas dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the lack of science process skills, students do not work together, students' critical thinking skills are less developed, students do not understand the material, and learning has not integrated technology. The purpose of this study was to determine teacher activity, student activity, critical thinking skills and learning outcomes of fifth grade students at Kelayan Timur 8 Elementary School by applying the "Problem Based Learning and TPACK Approach" learning model. Classroom Action Research conducted during these 4 meetings is based on four stages, namely: (1) Planning (2) Action (3) Observing (4) Reflecting. The data in this study are the results of observations and written test results. The results of the study showed that the teacher's activities in 4 meetings were carried out very well. Student activity increases at each meeting, so that 100% of students are classically successful with active purification. Students' critical thinking skills improve at each meeting, so that 100% of students classically succeed in completing everything critically. Student learning outcomes increase at each meeting and 96% of students classically succeed in achieving the KKM.

Abstract

This research focuses on the main issue of students' low problem-solving skills and their learning outcomes in mathematics. Inadequate mathematics teaching methods in developing problem-solving skills have been identified as the primary cause. To address this issue, the BERKAT model was implemented. The aim of this research is to describe the activities conducted by both teachers and students and to evaluate the improvement in problem-solving skills and academic achievement. This study employs a qualitative method using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, conducted over four meeting sessions. The research involved 15 fourth-grade students from SDN Manduin during the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The findings indicate that the interaction between the teacher and students was highly effective. Additionally, there was significant progress in problem-solving skills and academic achievement, reaching 100% by the fourth session. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the BERKAT model is highly effective in enhancing the learning process, as evidenced by the significant improvement in students' problem-solving skills and academic outcomes.
