Abstract

Objective: To know the efficacy of letrozole and clomiphene citrate for ovulation induction in anovulation women. Method: During the period of January-October 2007, 44 women who met criteria for an ovulation age 18-35 years old, were done anamnesis, physical examination, USG, and hormonal analysis (FSH, LH, E2, Progesterone and Prolactin). All participants were divided into letrozole and clomiphene citrate group. For the letrozole group received 2,5 mg letrozole daily on 3th until 7th day menstrual cycle. The clomiphene citrate group received 50 mg twice a day, on 3th until 5th day menstrual cycle. On 12th menstrual cycle the ultrasound examination was perfomed to measure number of mature follicle and endometrial thickness. On the 18th day of menstrual cycle, ultrasound was perfomed to evaluate ovulation. Result: There was significant difference between letrozole group and clomiphene citrate group (p=0.04) with the number if follicles in letrozole group is 1.08 (±0.27), in clomiphene citrate group 1.40 (±0.51). There was no significant different in mean of follicle size (p=0.32). Ovulation in both groups was not significantly different (p=0.53), 59% in letrozole group and 68% in clomiphene citrate group. There was significant difference in endometrial thickness, mean of endometrial thickness in letrozole group is 8.77 mm (±2.32 mm) and in clomiphene citrate group 6,66 mm (±2.34 mm) (p

Abstract

This research aims to understand the process of production and to analyze the performance of inventory system on production division of PT. Tiga Serangkai. The data has been gathered from direct observation of the process production and warehouse and the interview with the production employee, the employee of warehouse division, supervisor of purchasing and finance manager. This research demonstrates that inventory system performance of PT. Tiga Serangkai Surakarta can be optimized through the determination of inventory policy, applying a model minimum and maximum inventory that considers the safety stock in accordance with service level plan, implementing model Reorder Point (ROP) which can be used as guidelines in charging supply back, and applying the model economic ordering quantity. Abstract

Cohesion is the first criterion of textuality which is very important because it is thelinks that hold text together and give it meaning. This study aims to identify whetherthe speeches produced by English major sophomores are cohesive or not and todescribe the kinds of cohesive devices found in the speeches. The object of this studyis the speeches produced by the third semester students of English Department,which then were transcribed into written. The data collected were analyzed based ondiscourse analysis using cohesive devices based on Halliday and Hasan‟s theory(1976). The findings show that there are 1040 ties found in the ten speeches whichreveals that the five types of cohesive devices occur in the speeches although thedistribution of each type is significantly different. Based on the findings, it can beconcluded that the ten speeches are cohesively produced. In addition, all of fivetypes and sub-types of cohesion are found in the monologues except verbal ellipsis.

Abstract

Water Demand Management is an effort emphasizing the use of watersupply instead of developing a new supply. This effort is one solution toovercome water supply problems, such as limitation of water resourceand financial. Instrument of water demand management applied inIndonesia in general is progressive tariff policy in several PDAM(Public Water Supply Company), nevertheless not all of communitybecome customers of PDAM. How application of water demandmanagement on customer and non customers of PDAM are thequestions explored in this study. The objective of this study isapplication of water demand management by customer and non-customer of PDAM. The study using 114 household consist ofcustomer and non-customer PDAM in Kelurahan Setiamanah, Cimahi.The respondents are, asked about water consumption, willingness toapplying water management instrument, and form of watermanagement instrument already applied. The results of analysis showthat 1) there is no difierence between cunsomer and non cunsomer ofPDAM in water consumption, 2) most of respondents willing to applywater demand management, 3 )respondents who already applied waterdemand management instrument is very limited It can be concludedthat the tarif system in PDAM Kabupaten Bandung have not becomean effective instrument for water demand management. Mostrespondents are generally willing to take steps to conserve water, ifaccess to water resources is very limited.

Abstract

Investment and operation of water infrastructure is expensive. In order to prevent the failure of investment and operation caused by unpredictable cost, cost estimation before the development of water infrastructure is very important. Theories and concept in water supply engineering show that environmental condition has an important role in determining cost variation of water infrastructure. This article explores to what extent environmental condition was considered in empirical cost studies. It reveals that environmental condition has not been considered comprehensively in empirical cost studies, especially cost estimation studies.Keywords: water infrastructure, cost estimation, environmental condition

Abstract

This study aims to prove the empirically relationship between halal marketing (halal labelling and hijabista celebrity endorsement) with financial performance. The independent variable is halal labeling and hijabista celebrity endorse, while the dependent variable is financial performance. This research was conducted in Indonesia, spread across five cities such as: Jakarta, Lampung, Bali, West Sulawesi, and Aceh with samples of PT. Paragon Technology and Innovation and PT. Sari Ayu., Tbk. Survey methods and 51 questionnaires used in this research. The result shows that halal labelling has no effect on financial performance, while hijabista celebrity endorse has an effect on financial performance.Keywords: halal labeling, hijabista celebrity endorse, and financial performance

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi yang masih kurang dalam menunjang latihan kerja kaki (footwork) dalam permainan bulutangkis menjadi permasalahan tersendiri yang harus diselesaikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah pengembangan model alat footwork t rainer pada cabang olahraga bulutangkis. Model alat footwork trainer dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan kerja kaki (footwork) yang disyaratkan bagi seorang atlet bulutangkis agar terbiasa dengan gerak langkah yang cepat dan gesit, juga dapat membantu para pembina dan pelatih dari segi tenaga dan biaya sehingga latihan yang dilakukan menjadi lebih efektif dan efisien. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian dan Pengembangan ( R e s e a r c h a n d Development ). Hasil penelitian ini adalah pengembangan alat footwork trainer dari produk e land Cina, sebagai gabungan tahap planning and development of the preliminary form of product . Hasil dari penelitian ini dalam pengembangan alat ini layak untuk digunakan dalam latihan olah kaki (footwork) permainan bulutangkis untuk menghasilkan gerak kaki yang efektif dan efisien dalam menjangkau semua sudut lapangan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to test the successful implementation of the Regional Management Information System (Sistem Informasi Manajemen Daerah—SIMDA) by linking the perceived ease of users mediated by perceptions of behavior to continue to use and benefit. This research is quantitative research with a survey method using a questionnaire at the South Sumatra Provincial Government. Then, the data is processed and analyzed using PLS. From the results of the analysis, it is found that there is no significant influence between the relationship between perceived ease of use and the successful implementation of the Regional Information Management System, but perceptions of usefulness and behaviors to keep using can be strong influence between relationship between perceived ease of use and the successful implementation of system. This research contributes to the decision makers of accounting system developers to consider the factors that encourage system users who can try to participate in realizing the successful implementation of the system itself.

Abstract

Religious schools (madrasah) in Indonesia have contributed to fulfilling the equity goals of education. Up to this point, studies on the rate of return of madrasah and its relation to general or vocational education remain limited. In contrast to the previous studies that omit madrasah from their analysis, this study pay greater attention to this particular type of education. By adopting the Mincerian model of the human capital and applying the semi-log earnings function to the 2012 data of the National Socioeconomic Survey (SUSENAS) of Indonesia, this study discovers that the rate of return of graduates from madrasah is considerably lower than that of graduates from the equivalent formal general and vocational education. Furthermore, graduates from lower and upper secondary madrasah are unable to increase their income in the labor market. Raising awareness of the quality of madrasah in Indonesia is an important point discussed in this study.
