Abstract

The Land and Building Tax is a fiscal levy imposed by the government on the ownership or utilization of land and buildings. As a primary source of income for local governments, this tax plays a crucial role in supporting various development programs at the local level. Therefore, the aim of this research is to analyze the factors influencing taxpayers' compliance in paying land and building taxes. The research involves taxpayers who own properties such as land and buildings in Purbalingga Regency, totaling 620,626 individuals as the population for this study. The sampling process was conducted using the random sampling technique, with a sample size of 100 taxpayers calculated using the Slovin formula. The research data is primary and obtained through the direct distribution of questionnaires to respondents. To analyze the data, the Multiple Linear Regression method was employed with the assistance of SPSS software version 25. The results of this research indicate that variables such as income, level of education, and tax penalties do not have an impact on the level of taxpayers' compliance with land and building taxes in Purbalingga Regency. On the contrary, it can be concluded that tax knowledge has a positive and significant influence on taxpayers' compliance in paying land and building taxes in Purbalingga Regency.

Abstract

The objective of this inquiry is to scrutinize the extent to which board size, institutional ownership, audit committees, and corporate magnitude influence the fiscal performance of manufacturing firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2019 to 2021. This examination incorporates a sample of 248 firms selected through a purposive sampling technique. The study employs multiple linear regression analysis to evaluate the data. The findings of this assessment indicate that institutional ownership and corporate magnitude exert a significantly positive effect on financial performance, whereas board size and audit committee presence bear no substantial influence on financial outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the criminal responsibility of women involved in drug trafficking, especially those who are used as tools by other parties by using their names or identities as recipients of narcotics packages. The main focus of this research is to understand the factors that influence women's involvement in drug networks as well as the legal implications faced by women in the criminal justice system. The hypothesis of this research is whether women involved in drug trafficking as recipients of narcotics packages, whose names are used by other parties, can be exempted from criminal liability if there is no proven intent and power over the goods. The approach used in this research is normative law by analysing legislation and related literature. The results show that women are often trapped in narcotics networks due to exploitation and manipulation of other parties. Therefore, there is a need for legal policy reforms that are more responsive to gender issues and the protection of women's rights in drug cases. This research contributes to the development of criminal law that is more just and sensitive to social and gender factors in drug law enforcement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the criminal liability of the perpetrators of embezzlement of Hajj and Umrah funds in the Indonesian criminal justice system and evaluate the effectiveness of legal sanctions applied to tackle these criminal acts. This research uses a normative juridical method with a descriptive qualitative approach, which focuses on analysing the laws and regulations and their application in cases of embezzlement of Hajj and Umrah funds. The results show that although there are clear regulations related to the embezzlement of Hajj and Umrah funds, law enforcement is still hampered by various factors, such as the lack of supervision of worship trip organisers and the less-than-optimal sanctions applied. This research suggests the need to strengthen supervision, increase the capacity of law enforcers, enforce firmer sanctions, and improve the regulation of Hajj and Umrah fund management. Thus, this study contributes to the improvement of the legal system and management of Hajj and Umrah funds in Indonesia.

Abstract

This article discusses the authority of the National Land Agency (BPN) in creating land legal certainty in Indonesia, as well as the challenges and strategies needed to improve the effectiveness of land management and dispute resolution. Through an analysis of regulations governing BPN's authority, such as the Basic Agrarian Law and Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Regulations, it is found that BPN has a vital role in land registration and dispute resolution. However, challenges such as overlapping authority, multiple certificates, and land mafia practices still hinder effective implementation. This research recommends strengthening BPN's authority through the establishment of a clearer and more specific law and the addition of an article on Land Civil Servant Investigators (PPNS) in Law No. 5/1960. Hopefully, these measures can strengthen land law enforcement, improve transparency and accountability, and create better legal certainty for the community. Thus, BPN can contribute more effectively in managing and resolving land disputes, as well as promoting justice in natural resource management in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganilis dan menguji faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kepatuhan wajib pajak dalam membayar pajak kendaraan bermotor. Adapun pengumpulan data dengan menyebarkan kuesioner ke wajib pajak. Penelitian ini berjumlah 100 responden menggunakan teknik accidental sampling dan dianalisis dengan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa variabel kesadaran wajib pajak tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepatuhan wajib pajak kendaraan bermotor di Kabupaten Pati. Sedangkan variabel pengetahuan perpajakan, sosialisasi perpajakan dan samsat keliling berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepatuhan wajib pajak kendaraan bermotor di Kabupaten Pati. Kata kunci: Kepatuhan wajib pajak, Pengetahuan perpajakan, Sosialisasi perpajakan, Kesadaran wajib pajak, Samsat keliling.

Abstract

In general, humans hope for a prosperous life once they reach old age, but in reality, there are still many people whose old age could be more prosperous because they need income that can be used to meet their living needs. The bank pension fund (DPLK) pension program is a choice for planning retirement. Implementation of community service is carried out alternately with 3 or 4 participants per session. This is because the operational activities of PT Mitra Migas Sejahtera Semarang, which operates in Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU), must continue to run. Lack of socialization of financial institution pension fund pension programs by organizers, namely banks and insurance, so promotion needs to be increased so that the public can get information about financial institution pension fund pension programs. Only a few people have participated in this pension program, so promotion is needed to increase the number of participants in bank pension fund pension programs.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning module for the course Pengantar Studi Islam (Introduction to Islamic Studies) at the Ali bin Abi Thalib Islamic College (STAI) Surabaya, focusing on the sources of Islamic teachings: the Qur'an, Sunnah, Ijma', and Qiyas. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the Rowntree development model, which involves three stages: planning, development, and evaluation. Data were collected through expert validation, student questionnaires, and formative evaluation. The results of the study show that the developed module is valid, with an average score of 94% from content experts and 95.5% from language experts. It was also deemed very practical by students, with an average score of 82.82%. The module has proven to meet learning needs by providing structured material, communicative language, and relevant exercises. Suggestions from validators and students were implemented to enhance the quality of the module, making it more suitable for the learning context. The conclusion of this study indicates that the developed PSI learning module is valid, practical, and feasible for use in improving the quality of learning. This research is expected to serve as a reference for the development of similar teaching materials in the future.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus sufferers have a high mortality rate and it is related to blood glucose control and lifestyle factors. Diabetes mellitus must be controlled routinely and sufferers must know the type of blood glucose control they have. Most sufferers' lifestyle factors include unbalanced diet and physical activity patterns. This study aims to determine the relationship between diet and physical activity with blood glucose control in type 2 DM sufferers at Cut Nyak Dhien Hospital, Meulaboh. This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research with a cross sectional design. The number of respondents was 68 patients using total sampling technique. The data obtained was processed statistically using the chi-square formula. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the majority had the characteristics of an average age of elderly 46-55 years (45.6%), gender was predominantly female (55.9%), high school respondent education (36.8%), housewife respondent's occupation (29.4%), glucose control uncontrolled blood pressure (61.8%), unhealthy diet (76.5%), low physical activity pattern (58.8%). The results of the study explain that there is a significant relationship between diet and activity patterns and blood sugar control with p-values ​​= 0.001 and 0.029 (p-value <0.05), respectively. It is recommended that people with type 2 diabetes mellitus be given education regarding what factors can trigger an increase in blood sugar levels.

Abstract

Higher Education institutions play an important role in the development of Science and Technology. They are supported by adequate facilities for carrying out educational activities, research, and innovation development through Special Purpose Forest Areas (KHDTK/Kawasan Hutan Dengan Tujuan Khusus). KHDTK is a forest area designated by the government for public purposes such as research and development, education and training, and religion and culture, the management of which is given to customary law communities, educational institutions, research institutions, and social and religious institutions. The research aims to identify wind direction, wind speed, and slope. This research uses a quantitative approach with the instruments of ArcGIS and Google Earth Pro and the analysis technique of WRPlot.The research results show that the wind speed and direction in 2023, between January and March, in the Undip MIL Field Laboratory area was strong, most of which blew from the northwest. In April, the wind speed decreased, and the direction of wind gusts changed starting from the south. Stable conditions were shown between May and December, with an average wind speed of 2.7 m/s and some wind gusts coming from the southeast. Moreover, the MIL UNDIP Field Laboratory has three types of slope classes: flat, gentle, and wavy slopes, with a value of 6.6%, 13.3%, and 20%, respectively.
