Abstract

Abstract

Human Activity Recognition (HAR) is an interesting research topic, especially in identifying human movement actions focusing on video-based security surveillance. Symptom of an illness from a movement. The use of HAR in this research is the key to better understanding the various semantics contained in the video to find out the pattern of a human movement, especially in sports movements. In this study, a combination of the CNN and LSTM method algorithms was applied by using several variations of the model parameter values on the dropout layer and batch size to convert the pattern in the video into image form to produce a HAR model. Data processing at the convolution layer is used to extract spatial features in the frame. The extraction results are fed to the LSTM layer on each network for modeling the temporal sequence of human movement. In this way, the network on the model will learn spatiotemporal features directly in end-to-end data training tests to produce a robust model. The test data used are 10 sports activities obtained from related research from the University of Central Florida (UCF). The results showed that the performance was quite good, although there were still errors in the classification of sports activities because they had similarities in the movements of the activities carried out. The classification results show a loss value of 0.4 and an accuracy of 0.94. In further research, what needs to be corrected is the loss value which is still high so that several times the test results show an error in the classification of sports activities that have similarities in the movements of the activities.

Abstract

This study examines multiculturalism in pesantren by exploring the dialectical relationship between traditional Islamic education and modern educational demands. Employing a qualitative research approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis involving kyai, teachers, and santri from diverse cultural backgrounds. The findings reveal that pesantren function as multicultural educational spaces where diversity in ethnicity, language, and regional origin is integrated into daily religious and social practices. Multicultural values are cultivated through communal living, inclusive pedagogical strategies, and leadership grounded in Islamic ethics. Furthermore, strong leadership and institutional support play a crucial role in sustaining multicultural practices, while the negotiation between tradition and modernity enables pesantren to remain relevant without losing their religious identity. This study concludes that pesantren contribute significantly to the development of inclusive and moderate Islamic education by transforming cultural diversity into moral and social capital. The findings offer important insights for strengthening multicultural education within Islamic educational institutions in plural societies.

Abstract

Applying reading corner at SD IT Al-Ikhlas Tlogowungu helps to raise student reading interest and understanding especially for nonfiction texts. Background reveals the low level of reading interest in Indonesia, where just one in five people reads regularly. Survey results revealed that many people still cannot read and write despite high literacy rates. Low reading interest hurts students' capacity to read nonfictional texts requiring structural analysis and understanding. The approach employed in this study is qualitative descriptive; data gathering methods include observation, interview, and documentation. Observasi is used to find out the state of the classroom; interviews with the head teacher, teachers, and students; and written relevant data is gathered through documentation. With the goal of improving students' book access and encouraging them to read more, the reading corner idea offers cozy and interesting space for reading inside the classroom. Studies show that the use of reading corner successfully raised students' understanding of nonfictional texts and their enthusiasm in reading. Students grow more active and enjoy reading, therefore their reading frequency also rises. This approach also helps students become more aware of the advantages of reading, therefore developing their capacity to interpret nonfictional texts.

Abstract

Teachers are a vital part of educational management, and their organizational commitment is crucial for achieving the institution's goals. Organizational commitment reflects teachers' attitudes and feelings toward maintaining membership and carrying out their duties responsibly. Path analysis and SITOREM analysis are the quantitative methods used in this study. This study involved 237 permanent foundation teachers (GTY) from private vocational high schools in Bogor Regency, with a sample of 149 teachers selected using the Slovin formula. The study aimed to find the best methods, techniques, and solutions to increase teacher commitment to the organization by enhancing organizational support, servant leadership, personality, and job satisfaction. The results showed that organizational support, servant leadership, and personality significantly influenced job satisfaction and service quality. Job satisfaction served as a mediator, enhancing the influence of these three factors on service quality. One of the best ways to increase organizational commitment is to improve weak metrics (salary/wages, resource provision, empathy, supportive supervision, extroversion) and maintain strong metrics (coworker relations, emotional stability, conscientiousness, openness, listening, and trust). The results of the study show that job satisfaction is the main key to improving the quality of service and teacher commitment in the organization. These findings have implications for educational management by emphasizing the importance of developing policies based on job satisfaction, servant leadership, and organizational support as innovative strategies to improve service quality and teacher commitment.
