Abstract

This study aims to examine the contribution of Industrial and Organizational Psychology (IOP) in developing a more humane, effective, and sustainable performance management system. The approach used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that the integration of IOP principles is able to form a performance management system that not only assesses work achievements quantitatively, but also considers aspects of motivation, perceptions of fairness, two-way communication in feedback, and a supportive work culture. In addition, the psychological approach to performance management has been shown to contribute to reducing resistance to change, improving psychological well-being, and strengthening employee loyalty to the organization. Thus, IOP plays an important role in creating a holistic and adaptive performance management system to the dynamics of modern organizations. This study recommends that organizations be more proactive in integrating IOP principles in the design and implementation of performance management systems to improve work effectiveness and productivity sustainably.

Abstract

Overthinking or the tendency to overthink is a psychological phenomenon that is increasingly common in modern society. This study aims to deeply understand the individual experience in dealing with overthinking and the psychological strategies used to overcome it. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with 8 informants aged 20–35 years who had participated in interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, or other relaxation techniques. The results of thematic analysis showed that overthinking was triggered by uncertainty about the future, social pressure, and fear of failure, and had an impact on mental and physical health. The strategies used included cognitive (cognitive restructuring, journaling), emotional (mindfulness, meditation), and behavioral (diversionary activities, healthy routines) approaches. Although effective, these strategies have limitations in terms of consistency and social support. This study emphasizes the importance of an integrative approach based on CBT and mindfulness in overcoming overthinking and encouraging mental health policies that are more responsive to the psychosocial dynamics of modern society

Abstract

This research aims to discuss the role of qanaah attitude in dealing with household economic problems based on the perspective of the idrisiyyah order's prosperous family development institution. This research uses qualitative research methods where the resulting source comes from observations and interviews and literature related to research. The results of this study give the understanding that qanaah is a form of gratitude for the efforts that have been made to pick up sustenance. In addition, qanaah is also interpreted as an attitude of acceptance towards all destiny and decrees from Allah Swt., and still accompanied by still trying and trying to get what we need. The Prosperous Family Development Institute is a container in which there are coaching programs as a form of service to pilgrims who want or are married.  LPKS provides guidance on how to become a human being who has good morals and provides tips on how to be a good household. As for the conclusion that can be drawn, the role of qanaah in dealing with economic problems in the household is very important, because with qanaah humans will always feel enough with what they have received so that it will minimize conflicts that occur in the household due to the absence of demands from both sides. This research recommends the importance of understanding and applying qanaah attitudes in family life in order to create a harmonious family.

Abstract

Children's education plays a crucial role in preventing radicalization. By fostering analytical thinking and encouraging an evidence-based approach, education can help children develop the ability to discern and challenge extremist narratives. This study aims to investigate the terrorist offenders’ children's education in Indonesia through qualitative and quantitative research designs. By interviewing terrorist prisoners, holding discussions with former prisoners, and reviewing legal documents of terrorism cases such as profiling and assessment reports, this study tries to identify the regeneration of terrorist networks in Indonesia. The study examines the schools terrorist offenders (as decision makers) select for their children. The findings of this study show that only 18% of prisoners’ children are sent to schools not associated at all with terrorist organizations. In comparison, prisoners hide 29%, 14% are sent to schools less affiliated with terrorist organizations, and 13% are in schools very affiliated with terrorist organizations. This indicates distressing information that the indoctrination of youngsters persists within terrorist networks in Indonesia. Moreover, there are correlations between several independent (e.g., offenders' sentences, risk levels, and affiliations) and dependent variables (e.g., children's trauma, categories of school, orientations, and school networking). The study may help predict the continuation and recurrence of terrorism.

Abstract

(Title: The Dynamics of Puppet Culture Towards The World of Reality in Wayang Pesisiran). The world of puppetry is so attached to Javanese society where the changes of the times does not detract from the existence of puppets in Javanese people's lives. This study aims to describe the characteristics of coastal puppets and the dynamics of puppet culture towards the world of reality in coastal puppets using qualitative approaches. The data source used is a video of coastal puppets and interviews to Ki Kartono. Data is collected by means of listen, record, and interview. The data analysis used was the qualitative analysis of Miles &Huberman (1992). Based on the results of research, coastal puppet shows always begin by introducing the mission of the show and introducing the main characters in the play to be told. The cultural dynamics of puppetry towards the world of reality in coastal puppets contain at least six dynamics, namely: a) religious; b) greetings; c) the territory of the country; d) socio-cultural; e) the growth of life (kasampurnaning dumadi); and f) employment. The dynamics that occur in the world of puppetry indicates the dynamic in Javanese puppetry in an effort to continue to maintain its existence in modern times today. Keywords: cultural dynamics, the world of reality, wayang pesisiran

Abstract

This research seeks to examine the impact of self-confidence on the achievement of peak performance in youth basketball athletes. In addition to physical, technical, and tactical aspects, self-confidence is a crucial psychological factor that supports athletic success. It helps athletes manage competition pressure and boosts their readiness to perform at their best. The study employs a descriptive quantitative approach with a correlational design, involving 33 youth basketball athletes from Sukabumi City as participants. The instruments used include the Sports State Confidence Inventory (SSCI) to assess self-confidence and a peak performance questionnaire created by Garfield and Bennet. Data analysis was conducted using the Statistical Program for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25, with results showing a significant positive correlation between self-confidence and peak performance, yielding a correlation value of 0.759 and a significance level of 0.000. These findings suggest that higher levels of self-confidence increase the likelihood of athletes reaching peak performance. This study aims to offer deeper insights into the factors that affect athletic achievement, particularly self-confidence, and contribute to future youth basketball athletes' development
