Abstract

Fierce competition among private universities demands that institutions cultivate reputations rooted in student experience and a robust digital presence. Empirical evidence on the interplay between student experience, digital engagement, e-service quality, electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM), brand image, and institutional reputation remains fragmented and often contradictory. This study synthesises the 2005–2025 literature through a Systematic Literature Review guided by PRISMA 2020. Searches in Scopus, Web of Science, ProQuest, Google Scholar, and Garuda yielded 125 records; after deduplication, screening, and JBI appraisal, ten mixed-methods studies (quality score ? 70 %) were analysed. Thematic synthesis reveals three dominant patterns: (1) student experience—especially academic interaction and support services—consistently enhances brand image and reputation; (2) rich digital interactivity sparks positive e-WOM that strengthens institutional perceptions; and (3) e-service quality shapes reputation indirectly via student satisfaction. The research landscape is limited by a predominance of cross-sectional designs and a scarcity of studies in emerging-economy contexts, signalling the need for longitudinal and integrative investigations, including tests of industry collaboration as a new dynamic capability. Findings provide university leaders with actionable guidance: implement a student-experience dashboard, adopt a “3E” digital-content strategy (Educate–Engage–Empower), and set clear e-service benchmarks to fortify reputation and sustain competitive advantage.

Abstract

Leachate with organic and inorganic content and heavy metals has the potential to pollute the environment. Therefore, alternative leachate treatment is needed. A complex organic liquid called eco-enzyme is the end product of fermentation of organic matter, sugar, and water. This study aims to determine the level of efficiency of eco-enzyme dosage to reduce BOD, COD, and E.Coli content in Benowo landfill leachate water samples. The technique implemented in this study was to dissolve eco enzyme using doses of 13%, 16.7%, and 20% into a reactor containing 7 liters of leachate water. Analysis of BOD, COD, and E.Coli levels was conducted on the 7th, 14th, and 21st day of each treatment. The results showed that the eco enzyme was able to reduce E.Coli but could not reduce BOD and COD of leachate water. The highest E.Coli reduction occurred at a dose of 13% from a concentration of 35000 MPN/100 ml to 1600 MPN/100 ml (95%). The highest decrease in E.Coli occurred on the 21st day of observation from a concentration of 35000 MPN/100 ml to 1600 MPN/100 ml (95%).

Abstract

Sargassum sp. is an abundant source of bioactive non-polar compounds, however their anti-bacterial potential remains understudied. This study aimed to compare the anti-bacterial activity between the methanol extract and non-polar fraction of Sargassum sp. Extraction was performed using sonication with methanol, followed by partition with petroleum ether and fractionation on silica gel G60 using n-hexane:ethyl acetate (9:1). FTIR analysis characterized the functional groups, while anti-bacterial evaluation was performed using the disc diffusion method against Staphylococcus aureus. Data were analyzed statistically using one-way ANOVA. FTIR spectrum of the methanol extract showed absorption bands corresponding to non-polar compounds. In the non-polar fraction, the bands were more dominant, suggesting a higher content of non-polar compounds. Anti-bacterial evaluation of Sargassum sp., methanol extract and non-polar fraction exhibited inhibitory effects against S. aureus. The non-polar fraction produced a larger inhibition zone compared to the methanol extract, indicating stronger anti-bacterial activity and significant difference between the two samples (p<0.05). The results of this study showed that the non-polar fraction of Sargassum sp. methanol extract has higher anti-bacterial activity compared to the extract. Further studies are recommended to elucidate the individual bioactive compounds and identify their anti-bacterial mechanisms.
