Abstract

School religious activities play a vital role in shaping students’ morality from an early age. This research aims to analyze the influence of religious activities (such as collective prayer, congregational prayer, and religious studies) on the moral development of sixth-grade students at SD IT Al Hijrah 2. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data was collected through interviews and documentation with the class teacher as the main subject. The results indicate that religious activities have a significant impact on instilling values of discipline, responsibility, and respect. Teachers primarily employ the methods of exemplary behavior, habituation, and storytelling as key strategies for moral education. The main challenges encountered include students’ lack of consistency in applying moral values outside of school, the negative influence of gadgets and social media, and variations in parental support. It is concluded that religious activities serve as a moral fortress for students, but their effectiveness highly relies on the synergy between the school, teachers, and parents.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the state of interfaith harmony at Pelangi Elementary School, identify inhibiting factors, and design strategies for teachers to instill the values of harmony in elementary schools. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions based on the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study indicate that harmony among students has not been optimal. Students still tend to interact with peers of the same religion, their understanding of tolerance is still superficial, there are no structured programs to foster harmony, and there is an influence from the family environment that does not sufficiently support inclusive attitudes. To address this, teachers can implement various strategies, including integrating the values of tolerance into the learning process, forming heterogeneous study groups, and organizing thematic programs like Harmony Day and interfaith social projects. In addition, parental and community involvement is essential to strengthen students’ inclusive attitudes. Teachers should also serve as role models in daily life so that students can learn from real examples. These strategies are expected to create an inclusive and harmonious school environment while fostering tolerance from an early age.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using digital comics based on Malay local wisdom on Pancasila Education learning outcomes for fifth-grade students at SDN 101744, Klambir Village. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of two classes: Class VA as the control class using the lecture or conventional method, and Class VB as the experimental class receiving treatment. Data were collected through pretests and posttests and analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The results showed a significant effect between the implementation of digital comics based on Malay local wisdom and the implementation of digital comics based on Malay local wisdom. Students learning using this method, or the experimental class, experienced a significant increase in learning outcomes, at 81.48%, compared to 32% in the control class. Data analysis revealed a t-test value greater than the t-table (6.102>2.010), with a significant value (2-tailed) of less than 0.05 (0.000<0.05). The hypothesis test results indicate that the H0 is rejected and the H is accepted. Therefore, the application of digital comic media based on Malay local wisdom to improve student learning outcomes in Pancasila Education has proven effective.
