Abstract

Peningkatan prevalensi Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) pada remaja menjadi topik yang penting dalam bidang kesehatan dikarenakan dapat menurunkan kualitas hidup. Salah satu faktor risiko yang berperan adalah pola makan tidak sehat, konsumsi kafein berlebih serta stress. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja terkait penyakit GERD sekaligus melakukan skrining awal untuk mendeteksi potensi kasus. Responden penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA pada lingkungan pondok pesantren, yang dianggap rentan terhadap gaya hidup pemicu GERD. Metode yang digunakan berupa desain pre-eksperimental dengan pendekatan pre- dan post-test, disertai pembagian kuisioner GERD-Q. Hasil analisis paired T-test menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan setelah edukasi (p=0,012). Selain itu, sebanyak 20% peserta memperoleh skor GERD-Q ≥ 8, yang mengindikasikan kemungkinan adanya gejala GERD. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa edukasi dan skrining dini sangat penting dilakukan sebagai upaya preventif terhadap GERD sejak usia remaja. Hasil pengabdian ini menegaskan pentingnya intervensi promotif dan preventif dalam mencegah penyakit kronis yang dapat dimulai sejak masa sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and analyze the system of financial management and payment of claims at iBPJS iKetenagakerjaan iMedan iKota branch in accordance with the principles of Islamic financial management. This research uses idescriptive qualitative research methods, i.e. research that is verbally stated as an irresistible respondent. There are two sources of data from this research, i.e. primary data sources and secondary data sources. The results of this study indicate that regarding the management of iBPJS iKetenagakerjaan iMedan iKota branches, if viewed from the perspective of Islamic financial management, it is not yet in accordance with overall. In the view of Islamic financial management, this system of financial management must have three criteria, namely avoidance of igharar, immaysir and iriba. The principle of igharar idi iBPJS iKetenagakerjaan iMedan iKota ibranch does not exist because iBPJS is an iPublic iLaw Agency which is directly assigned by the state to provide isocial security protection iemployment to iIndonesian workers who have the principle of iplease help. The principle of immaysir if seen from the ownership of funds cannot be found because the contributions of the participants will become social funds which will be invested by the financial manager of the central office. If the participant stops being a participant, the contribution will not be forfeited and the claimant can claim it in accordance with the existing requirements. iRiba iPrinciples iBPJS iEmployment is still attached because participants' contributions are still being invested in non-sharia investment instruments. According to the Islamic review, the procedure for submitting claims can be accepted in Islam because the practices or actions that can bring benefits to many people are justified in Islam.

Abstract

Dental caries in Indonesia is a dental health problem that still needs attention. Dental plaque accumulating in the oral cavity can increase the risk of dental caries. To date, brushing your teeth is the most effective effort to remove plaque regularly. It is known that the School Health Program (SHP) has proven effective in increasing students' knowledge, motivation, and skills in brushing their teeth. However, an active role is needed from parents and the school, especially class teachers, to support this SHP program. Therefore, training is needed for class teachers who will later become trainers for students on how to brush their teeth properly and correctly. SHP was carried out on 60 class teachers at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 2 Kediri in July-August 2023. Participants were given training on how to brushing teeth correctly by the dentists through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activities and then taught the participants training materials to students in their respective classes for one week. Evaluation of the success of the program was carried out on students one week after the students were taught by their teachers. The result showed that students were able to answer the questionnaire correctly and had optimal oral hygiene. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the training of trainer program on how to brushing teeth for teachers can increase student's knowledge, motivation and ability to maintain oral hygiene.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh apakah stunting berdampak terhadap prestasi belajar seorang anak. Karena perlunya bukti sebagai bahan edukasi bagi orangtua mengenai hubungan sebab akibat tersebut, agar mereka memiliki kesadaran lebih untuk memerhatikan kondisi gizi sang anak. Maka tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh stunting terhadap prestasi belajar seorang anak. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan Meta Analisis. Sebanyak 4 artikel/jurnal digunakan sebagai referensi data yang diinginkan. Dari hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan, sebanyak 4 artikel/jurnal digunakan memeroleh hasil bahwa anak-anak yang memiliki prestasi belajar yang rendah, kebanyakan dari mereka merupakan anak yang mengalami stunting. Sehingga dapat dipahami bahwa stunting dapat menurunkan kemampuan kognitif seseorang. Tingkat kemampuan kognitif erat kaitannya dengan prestasi belajar. Dengan menurunnya kemampuan kognitif, maka prestasi belajar pun menurun. Selain itu, stunting juga membuat seorang anak rentan terkena berbagai penyakit, sehingga memengaruhi kehadirannya dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dan menghambat proses belajarnya. Maka, berdasarkan perhitungan yang mereka lakukan, persentase kemungkinan seorang anak yang mengalami stunting memiliki pretasi belajar yang baik lebih kecil dibandingkan anak yang tidak mengalami stunting. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa, stunting dapat memengaruhi prestasi belajar seseorang.

Abstract

So this study aims to analyze and describe the efforts of the Nagari government in resolving land disputes in Nagari Air Bangis. The method used is qualitative-descriptive with informant retrieval techniques based on purposive sampling. The results showed that efforts have been made in resolving land disputes through five mechanisms, namely ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution), Negotiation, Mediation, Arbitration and Neutral Fact-Finding. Efforts on the part of the Bangis Water Planters Solidarity began by conciliating the affected smallholders, the community and traditional leaders collecting historical evidence from the disputed customary land, the Nagari government facilitating meetings and expert teams, and WALHI accompanying the solidarity of bangis water planters and advocating. However, more authoritative actors, such as the Governor of West Sumatra and the Directorate General of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia, have still not shown their role in resolving such disputes. The conclusion of the study shows that five efforts to resolve land disputes that occurred in Nagari Air Bangis have not been able to resolve the disputes that occurred so that they require more massive efforts from the government above Nagari.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the rupiah exchange rate, international prices, and the amount of cocoa production on the volume of Indonesian cocoa exports from 1990-2022. This research uses secondary data and time series data from 1990-2022 obtained from the World Bank, Badan Pusat Statistic (BPS), and International Cocoa Organizations. The data analysis method uses the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach. The results of this research show that the rupiah exchange rate variable in both the short and long term has a positive and insignificant effect on the volume of Indonesian cocoa exports. In the short term, the international cocoa price variable has a positive and insignificant effect on the volume of Indonesian cocoa exports, while in the long term, it has a negative and insignificant effect. And the production quantity variable has a positive and significant impact on the volume of Indonesian cocoa exports in the short and long term.

Abstract

This study aims to test and find out more clearly how the influence of recruitment, motivation and work discipline on employee performance at PT Duta Cahaya Putra Medan. This study uses a quantitative method involving 43 respondents. Data collection was carried out using questionnaire distribution. The data obtained was analyzed using a statistical formula, namely by using multiple regression analysis which was managed with the SPSS Version 23 program. The results of the study show that recruitment partially has a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance. The results of the study show that motivation partially has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The results of the study show that work discipline partially has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Recruitment, motivation and work discipline simultaneously have a positive and significant effect. 55.6% of employee performance can be explained and obtained from recruitment, motivation and work discipline while the remaining 44.4% is by other factors. Employee performance has a strong relationship with recruitment, motivation and work discipline.

Abstract

Some students at a state high school in Perbaungan exhibit disruptive behavior, harming themselves and disturbing the school environment. These students often skip school, ignore assignments, fight with classmates, disobey teachers, and cause disruptions. The root cause appears to be the students' backgrounds, particularly coming from broken homes. A broken home, caused by parental divorce, leads to emotional struggles in adolescents. This research aims to explore the emotional dynamics of adolescents from broken homes due to their parents' divorce. A qualitative approach with a case study method was used, involving three respondents aged 16 and 17 from divorced families, selected through purposive sampling. Triangulation techniques—source, method, and time—were applied for data validity. Descriptive analysis was employed to analyze the data collected from the informants. The findings show that all three respondents exhibited negative behavioral changes, emotional instability, and psychological trauma. They also reported a lack of attention and affection from their parents after the divorce. Despite the challenges, they viewed parental divorce as a process of self-maturation, although it was also seen as a difficult and painful experience.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Peningkatan populasi lansia khususnya di Indonesia, dapat menimbulkan masalah Kesehatan seperti depresi. Gejala depresi pada lansia seringkali tidak terungkap jelas dan bisa terkait dengan perubahan fisik, penyakit, kehilangan, serta perasaan kesepian. Pengukuran tingkat depresi menggunakan Skala Depresi Geriatri (GDS) memberikan gambaran lebih lanjut tentang prevalensi depresi pada lansia, yang diperkirakan meningkat seiring pertambahan usia. Pada pengkajian tanggal 16 Oktober 2023, dihadiri 15 lansia di Kelayan B Gang JAIS RT. 009 RW. 001. Hasilnya, 11 lansia tidak mengalami depresi, sementara 4 lainnya mengalami depresi ringan. Tim pengkaji memberikan intervensi berupa terapi zikir dan dukungan keluarga kepada lansia yang mengalami depresi ringan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat depresi lansia dan memberikan pemahaman. Intervensi diberikan agar lansia mampu mengatasi depresi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari setelah memahami dan menerapkan intervensi yang diajarkan. Kata Kunci: Depresi, Lansia, GDS  ABSTRACT The increase in the elderly population, especially in Indonesia, can cause health problems such as depression. Symptoms of depression in the elderly are often not clearly revealed and can be related to physical changes, illness, loss, and feelings of loneliness. Measurement of depression rates using the Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS) provides a further picture of the prevalence of depression in the elderly, which is expected to increase with age. The assessment on October 16, 2023, was attended by 15 elderly people at Kelayan B Gang JAIS RT. 009 RW. 001. As a result, 11 elderly people did not have depression, while 4 others had mild depression. The review team provided interventions in the form of remembrance therapy and family support to elderly people with mild depression. This activity aims to determine the level of depression of the elderly and provide understanding. Interventions are given so that the elderly are able to overcome depression in daily life after understanding and applying the interventions taught. Keywords: Depression, Elderly, Geriatric Depression Scale

Abstract

Oral and dental health is important to support quality of life, including the ability to speak, eat, and socialize without pain or embarrassment. Dental and oral problems can cause pain, discomfort, infection, sleep disturbances, and high medical costs, which have an impact on decreasing the quality of learning and work productivity. This community service program aims to increase awareness of maintaining oral hygiene, educate how to detect oral diseases early, and encourage regular visits to the dentist every six months. The method is carried out through teledentistry, which utilizes the Surbo Chat application and WhatsApp TanyaPepsodent. The results of this program revealed that 90% of patients did not understand early detection of oral diseases, and 95% of patients had dental problems, with the most cases being caries. The conclusion of this activity is that teledentistry is effective in providing consultation and education related to dental and oral health.
