Abstract

As the world’s fourth most populated country, Indonesia will need to use its resources sustainably. Generation Z as the future consumer has a key role to actively engage in pro-environmental behavior to prevent further environmental degradation. This study assessed the role of the media, life experiences, knowledge and government support in the adoption of pro-environmental behavior among generation Z using the Norm Activation Model. Data were collected using an online questionnaire to 590 university students in the greater area of Indonesia capital city, Jakarta. Data were analyzed using descriptive method and PLS-SEM. This study demonstrated the ability of the Norm Activation Model to predict the relationship between the media, life experiences, knowledge and government support to pro-environmental behavior and concluded that knowledge is the key influential factor of personal norms to engage in pro-environmental behavior, followed by the media and significant life experiences, while government has a negative influence. The implications are discussed.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of moderator variables on the relationship between decision-makers behavioral preferences and innovation adoption. Moderator variables are collaboration experience with university and firm characteristics such as ownership of the firm, size of the firm, and status of the firm. There is still a limited understanding of decision-makers behavioral preferences in the adoption of innovations from university, even though this understanding is needed to enhance the success of university and industry collaboration. This study explores several moderator variables that have not been previously studied together before on the relationship between decision-makers behavioral preferences and innovation adoption. This study distributes questionnaires to 365 respondents who are decision-makers of food and beverage firms in Jakarta and surrounding areas. Quantitative analysis of SEM data was carried out with LISREL. The results showed that decision-makers behavior preferences have a significant relationship with innovations adoption and only the status of the firm and collaboration experience with university influence the relationship between decision-makers behavioral preferences and innovations adoption. The results of this study reflect that some moderator variables have a significant effect on the relationship between decision-makers behavioral preferences and innovations adoption. Future research may employ other moderator variables such as government regulations to find out its influence on the adoption of innovation from the university.

Abstract

The rise of social media, particularly Instagram, has transformed consumer behavior and marketing strategies in the fashion industry. This study aims to analyze the influence of social influence, influencer credibility, and parasocial relationships on brand credibility and purchase intention of fashion products on Instagram. Using a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey method, data were collected from 260 active Instagram users in Greater Jakarta who follow at least one fashion influencer. Structural Equation Modeling with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach was employed to examine the relationships between variables. The results indicate that influencer credibility, social influence, and parasocial relationships have a significant positive effect on brand credibility, which in turn influences purchase intention. Parasocial relationships also directly enhance purchase intention. These findings highlight the crucial role of emotional connection and perceived credibility in shaping consumer behavior on social media. The study provides practical implications for fashion marketers in selecting influencers and developing engagement strategies to boost brand trust and consumer intention to purchase. Further research is suggested to explore other social platforms and additional influencing variables.

Abstract

The Indonesian coffee industry has experienced dynamic growth, driven by rising coffee consumption and increasing internet penetration. Coffee Baracks in Bogor Regency aims to utilize social media marketing and product innovation to influence consumer purchase decisions, with electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM) serving as a mediator. This study analyzes the impact of these factors on digital-era purchasing decisions, specifically examining how social media marketing (Instagram) and product innovation affect eWOM and purchase decisions, while also investigating eWOM's mediating role in strengthening these relationships. Using a quantitative approach, data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 200 respondents, consisting of Coffee Baracks' Instagram followers and direct visitors. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS) via SmartPLS 3.3.3. The results indicate that social media marketing has a significant positive effect on purchase decisions (path coefficient: 0.192; p < 0.05). Conversely, product innovation shows a negative impact (-1.021; p < 0.05), suggesting misalignment with market preferences. However, when mediated by eWOM, product innovation demonstrates a strong positive influence (1.493; p < 0.05). Additionally, eWOM strengthens the relationship between social media marketing and purchase decisions (0.196; p < 0.05) and has a direct positive effect (1.700; p < 0.05). The findings suggest that effective social media marketing strategies and eWOM management significantly enhance purchase decisions, while product innovation must align with market expectations. Practical implications recommend that Coffee Baracks focus on creative social media content, market research for product innovation, and maximizing positive reviews through eWOM.

Abstract

Despite extensive global research on high-speed rail (HSR) adoption, studies often overlook the unique socio-economic and environmental challenges in emerging markets like Indonesia, including rapid urbanization, private vehicle reliance, and shifting attitudes toward sustainability. This paper aimed to help policymakers design strategies to accelerate HSR adoption and support Indonesia's sustainability goals. Using a quantitative approach, this study examined factors influencing the behavioral intention to adopt high-speed rail (Whoosh) in Indonesia. Data were collected via purposive sampling, targeting respondents from Jakarta and Bandung with specific criteria, resulting in 367 valid responses. The questionnaire entailed demographic questions and items measuring constructs based on the Theory of Planned Behavior and related frameworks, using a five-point Likert scale. Data analysis incorporated descriptive statistics with SPSS and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS to validate measurement models and test hypotheses. The results indicate that subjective norms, perceived moral obligations, attitudes, perceived quality, and environmental impact significantly affect behavioral intention (BI), with attitudes being the strongest predictor. Trust influenced subjective norms but did not affect perceived moral obligations or attitudes. External influences, including government campaigns and media, shaped trust, subjective norms, and novelty-seeking behavior. Additionally, environmental impact influenced perceived sustainability, and novelty-seeking behavior positively impacted attitudes toward high-speed rail. These findings offer valuable insights into factors driving adoption and provide implications for policymakers and transportation planners.

Abstract

Abstract: Urea is a chemical compound which is composed from the elements of carbon, hydrogen, oxygenand nitrogen. Approximately 90% of the urea used as chemical fertilizers in the form of prills as a supplier of nitrogen element (macro nutrient) needed by the plants. Fertilizer includes in the manufacturing industry that provides a major contribution to Gross Domestic Product (PDB) after the agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, and mining sector (BPS, 2012). In the group of non oil and gas, fertilizer industry group is rank1 of 9 industry groups which have the opportunity to generate foreign exchange. The problems faced by the fertilizer industry in Indonesia are: (1) the availability of raw materials for producing urea namely natural gas, (2) the factory has been an old age and the old technology so that inefficient, (3) very low domestic sales policycauses the loss of opportunities for manufacturers to get the maximum margin. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the income and profit in increasing the competitiveness of urea industry. The research to determine the relationship of competitiveness and the factors thataffectcompetitiveness is analyzed with multiple linear regression with the method of Ordinary Least Squared (OLS). As the independent  variable it is the price policy (domestic price and export price) and the distribution policy (production volume and export volume) and the dependent variable are the competitiveness and the results of sales as the intervening variable. The data use in this research is secondary datacoming from the annual report of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) and Urea Outlook from Fertecon Analysis. The results showed that the price policy (domestic price and export  price) and the distribution policy (production volume and export volume) are significantly influences toward the income and the profit that will increase and stregthen the company's competitiveness. For the domestic price variables did not significantly affect the results of sales(income) so that the policy of domestic price regulation is the same as the export price that will increase the income and the competitiveness of company. While the production volume and the export volume inflluence the results of sales so that it strengthens the competitiveness of company.
