Abstract

Internal quality assurance is a strategic element in maintaining the quality and credibility of education delivery. However, the implementation still tends to be administratively oriented and has not fully touched the dimensions of academic values and integrity. This study aims to analyze the development of scientific studies on internal quality assurance and examine the relevance of Siri’ values as an ethical foundation in strengthening academic integrity. This study uses a quantitative approach with a bibliometric analysis method. Data was obtained from Scopus indexed scientific publications relevant to the topics of internal quality assurance and academic integrity, then analyzed using the VOSviewer software through keyword co-occurrence techniques. The results of the study show that internal quality assurance has a strong relationship with academic integrity, self-evaluation, quality implementation competence, and the role of external quality assurance. These findings confirm that integrity is a key prerequisite for the effectiveness of internal quality assurance. The value of Siri’ as local wisdom is seen as relevant to strengthen the dimensions of moral awareness, academic responsibility, and institutional honor in the implementation of quality assurance. This research contributes to the development of conceptual understanding of internal quality assurance based on local cultural values as an effort to build a sustainable culture of educational quality.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the curriculum development framework as an effort to improve the quality of education that is relevant to the demands of the 21st century. This study uses a qualitative research method with a library research approach, which is by analyzing various literature sources such as books, journals, and scientific articles related to curriculum development theory and practice. The results of the study show that curriculum development is a systematic and continuous process that involves needs analysis, goal formulation, design, implementation, and evaluation. The foundation of curriculum development includes philosophical, psychological, socio-cultural, and scientific aspects, with the principles of relevance, flexibility, effectiveness, and efficiency. Several models such as Tyler, Taba, Oliva, Saylor-Alexander, Beauchamp, and Bruner are important references in designing a curriculum that is adaptive to change. In the Indonesian context, the Independent Curriculum is a form of actualization of curriculum development that emphasizes differentiated learning, strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile, and implementing project-based learning to face global challenges. Thus, the curriculum development framework plays an important role in shaping a dynamic, relevant, and competency-oriented education system for the future.

Abstract

In facing the demands of higher education in the 21st century digital era, student learning independence is the main key to academic and professional success. Time management and well-being play a crucial role in forming a learning commitment that supports optimal mastery of independence. Therefore, the essence of this study is designed to examine the influence of time management and well-being on student learning independence, with learning commitment as a mediating variable, specifically at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law (FIS-H) Makassar State University (UNM). This study chose a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) technique analyzed using SmartPLS software. A total of 100 active FIS-H UNM students were selected as respondents through proportionate stratified random sampling from a population of 4,150 students. This study used a Likert scale questionnaire of 1-5 to explore time management, well-being, learning independence and learning commitment, with indicators such as schedule preparation, personal growth, and intrinsic motivation. The research findings are expected to demonstrate a significant influence, both directly and indirectly, between time management and well-being on students' independent learning in the social sciences, with commitment to learning as the primary intermediary. This study concludes that independent learning is key for students in developing independent learning skills and strengthening their academic adaptation.

Abstract

21st-century learning heavily emphasizes critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Therefore, teachers must implement appropriate steps to meet these criteria. One alternative that can be implemented is through the application of a problem-based learning model. This study is intended to determine the effectiveness of the problem-based learning model, especially in the subject of facilities and infrastructure in class XI MPLB I. The study employs a qualitative approach that utilizes descriptive research methods. The data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that problem-based learning is effective in four main indicators, namely: 1) student involvement in learning is good, shown by active attention, participation in asking questions, and the ability to answer teacher evaluations; 2) inquiry and investigation are effective even though students still face several obstacles; 3) student performance in doing assignments shows a good understanding of the material; and 4) reflection on problem solving goes well through teacher evaluation and guidance in correcting students' mistakes. In addition, this study identifies supporting factors such as adequate learning facilities, learning motivation, teacher competence, and a conducive classroom atmosphere. As for the inhibiting factors, there are limitations in study time and differences in academic ability between students. The application of the problem-based learning model can increase students' activeness, understanding, and critical thinking skills if implemented optimally with the support of adequate internal and external factors.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the interaction patterns of teachers in the Office Management and Business Services department at SMK YAPMI Makassar and their influence on student learning motivation. This study is quantitative with a focus on two main variables, namely teacher interaction patterns and student learning motivation. A questionnaire consisting of two main parts, namely teacher interaction patterns in education and student learning motivation, was used to collect data. The results of the study indicate that there is a positive relationship between teacher interaction patterns and student learning motivation at SMK YAPMI Makassar. However, this relationship is relatively weak with a correlation coefficient value close to zero, namely r squared of 0.088. This means that only 8.8% of the variation in the dependent variable (student learning motivation) can be explained by teacher interaction patterns, while 91.2% of the dependence is influenced by other factors not included in this study. The level of student learning motivation at SMK YAPMI Makassar is classified as excellent, with a percentage reaching 82.93%. Student learning motivation is measured through three main indicators: (1) persistence in completing tasks, (2) persistence in facing challenges during the learning process, and (3) the ability to express and defend opinions actively during the learning process. These findings indicate that teacher interaction is not the only determining factor, but it still plays an important role in shaping student learning motivation. Therefore, improving the quality of interaction between teachers and students needs to receive more attention in an effort to improve learning outcomes and active student participation in class. This study also opens up opportunities for further research that can explore other factors that influence student learning motivation more comprehensively, such as classroom environment, teaching methods, and peer interactions.
