Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a mathematics learning module based on inquiry guided learning in advanced trigonometry to enhance students' critical thinking skills and learning independence at the high school level. The research employed a research and development approach involving two Grade XI science classes at SMA Santa Maria Cirebon. The module was developed through a series of stages including needs analysis, design, expert validation, and classroom implementation over the course of one month. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observations, and interviews, and analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative methods. The results show that the module effectively improved students' academic performance, with most students demonstrating increased scores and enhanced critical thinking skills. The findings also indicate a positive correlation between learning independence and exam scores. However, some students still struggled due to low levels of independent learning. Instrument validation confirmed that the test items met criteria for content validity, alignment with curriculum indicators, and the ability to assess higher-order thinking skills. This study concludes that the inquiry guided learning approach is effective in improving mathematics learning quality and highlights the importance of fostering independent learning as an integral part of the educational process.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the knowledge and skills of class teachers in designing differentiated learning programs. The method of implementing community service activities includes 4 stages that adopt the OL (Organizational Learning) approach. The four stages in OL are socialization, externalization, combination, and internalization. The results of the activities have been carried out in the socialization and externalization stages, where teachers have planned diagnostic tests for the basis for making differentiated learning tools. The participants' initial knowledge of differentiated learning scored 50, then increased by 39%, to reach a score of 89. The achievement of the score of increasing knowledge about differentiated learning exceeded the planned indicator of 75. The conclusion of the results of this Community Service activity is that the OL stage is used effectively in optimizing the understanding and practice of differentiated learning in Inclusion Elementary School.

Abstract

Menurut WHO, pada tahun 2021 sebanyak 650.000 orang meninggal akibat HIV.

Abstract

This research presents a mathematical model for a three-species predator-prey system, incorporating the Allee effect, refugia, and alternative food. The interactions between prey and intermediate predator, as well as intermediate predator and top predator, are modeled using Holling type II response functions. The resulting system of nonlinear equations yields four equilibrium points, one unstable and three stable locally. Analytical calculations indicate that refugia and alternative food minimally affect the top predator's population growth, while the Allee effect influences the growth of prey and intermediate predator populations. Numerical simulations further support these findings, highlighting the nuanced impacts of these factors on the dynamics of the three-species system.

Abstract

The ability to think creatively is very important to be developed in students, especially when learning is starting to shift to blended learning where students are required to be able to organize portions and also how to learn independently, for this reason, students in this era need to grow their creative abilities to be able to keep up with educational developments. This study aims to conduct studies related to factors that can foster creative thinking skills. The research method used in this study is the SLR (Systematic Literture Review) method. Data collection is done by collecting similar research articles and limiting it to the topic of mathematical creative thinking skills. The articles used in this study were 20 articles with the topic of creative thinking skills. Based on the literature review, the most influencing factors in creative thinking skills are problem-based models and open-ended approaches. For this reason, using the CPS model with an open-ended approach will provide a model with a new alternative approach that can be tried to improve creative thinking skills.

Abstract

This research is motivated by learning in schools which is still teacher-centered, so that learning does not match students' interests and learning needs. The research aims to analyze teachers' needs in designing differentiated learning that accommodates all elementary school students' learning needs. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Researchers developed a questionnaire instrument that was given and filled out by prospective elementary school teacher students who were studying professional teacher education at universities in Semarang City. The results of the analysis of the questionnaire that had been filled out by respondents showed that prospective elementary school teachers still needed self-assessment and diagnostic assessment models for differentiated learning that could accommodate the learning needs of elementary school students. To be able to carry out differentiated learning, teachers need more detailed information about student profiles through student self-assessments and diagnostic assessments carried out by teachers so that learning will run effectively according to students' abilities, interests and learning abilities.

Abstract

This research aimed to discuss creative mathematical thinking ability based on self-efficacy in CPS learning with scaffolding. This research employed qualitative descriptive design. The subjects of the research were 6 students of class XI of junior high school selected based on three categories of self-efficacy, they were: high, medium, and low. Two students were found in the high self-efficacy category, two students from the medium self-efficacy category and two students from the low self-efficacy category. The results of this research showed that students with high self-efficacy level were able to complete the four qualifications of creative thinking abilities, they were fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Students with the medium self-efficacy level were still having difficulty showing up ideas to determine the unusual way of being used. Students with low self-efficacy level had difficulty in understanding the problem so that it is only able to meet one qualification of creative thinking ability that is fluency. Based on the explanation of the results of this research, it can be concluded that no student with low self-efficacy level has a high score of creative thinking ability.
