Abstract

Abstrac: The purpose of this research to describe about graph theory is subject can serve as a tool for growing mathematical creativity. Systematic Literature Review (SLR) is used as a method of analyzing a wide range of articles and literature were obtained through searching of data sources. The results of the analysis of various sources elaborated reviews about the open ended questions of graph theory that are used as a disclosure in growing the mathematical creativity of students based on Bahar & Maker's theory modifications are open ended questions that have characteristics such as fluency and flexibility and have been done in detail/elaboration. Fluency on theory graph can be known when students do task/exercises such as isomorphic graph. Flexibility on theory graph can be known when students do task/exercises, example about spanning trees. In this paper also we showed how can use graph theory to teach standards of NCTM (National Council of Teachers on Mathematics of America) that related with mathematical creativity. Keyword: graph theory, mathematical creativity, fluency, flexibility  Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan graf teori merupakan salah satu alat untuk menumbuhkan kreativitas matematika. Systematic Literature Review (SLR) digunakan sebagai metode dalam menganalisis sebagai berbagai artikel dan literatur yang diperoleh melalui pencarian sumber data. Hasil analisis dari berbagai sumber tersebut dijabarkan ke dalam ulasan tentang pertanyaaan terbuka dari teori graf yang digunakan untuk mengungkap tumbuhnya kreativitas matematika peserta didik berdasarkan teori modifikasi Bahar & Maker dimana pertanyaan terbuka yang memiliki karakteristk seperti fluency/kelancaran dan flexibility/keluwesan yang dikerjakan secara elaborasi. Dimensi fluency/kelancaran pada teori graf dapat diketahui ketika peserta didik mengerjakan soal misal tentang isomorfik. Dimensi flexibility/keluwesan pada teori graf dapat diketahui ketika peserta didik mengerjakan soal misal tentang spanning trees/pohon berentang. Dalam artikel ini ditunjukkan juga bagaimana graf teori menggunakan standar dari NCTM yang terkait dengan kreaitvitas matematika. Kata kunci: teori graf, kreativitas matematika, fluency, flexibility

Abstract

The differences in the development of students' thinking levels, especially in adolescence, impact the way they perceive problems. Contextual learning with ethnomathematics can provide opportunities for students to develop problem-solving abilities based on their level of thinking. This study examined the contextual learning with ethnomathematics to enhance problem-solving abilities based on thinking levels.This experimental research was conducted by posttest only control group design. The participants of this research were 60 students at a junior high school in Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi Province.Data were collected using observation sheets to determine local cultural characters that appeared at the time of treatment. The thinking level category uses the group assessment for logical thinking (GALT) test. The students' mathematical problem-solving abilities use the curved side space material to suit the local cultural context. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics and covariance analysis (ANCOVA). This study results indicate that contextual learning with ethnomathematics influences problem-solving abilities based on the level of thinking. Furthermore, local cultural characters appear in each category of students' thinking levels. Students with formal thinking levels have better problem-solving abilities than transitional and concrete thinking levels. Contextual learning with ethnomathematics fosters problem-solving abilities based on the thinking levels

Abstract

This research aims to study students’ High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in the Primary Teacher Education Department of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) viewed from their Self-Regulated Learning (SRL). The research method in this research is a mixed method of a sequential explanatory model. This research was conducted in the Department of Primary Teacher Education at UNNES for students of class 2020 in the Basic Mathematical Concept course. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, documentation, interviews. Analysis of quantitative data in the form of validity and reliability of the instrument was followed by descriptive analysis. Qualitative data analysis was performed by triangulation and descriptive statistical analysis. Analysis of quantitative data found two categories of the level of SRL, namely medium and high levels. The results of the analysis of student answers were obtained: (1) Students with moderate SRL category interpret the questions into Mathematical language, and the way they identified the problem is less communicative, while the students with high SRL category interpret the questions into Mathematical language communicatively; (2) Based on students’ ability to evaluate, students with moderate SRL category have not been fluent yet, while the students with high SRL category have been fluent in evaluating, and (3) Based on their creativity, students with moderate SRL still need more practices, while students with high SRL category have been fluent. The conclusion of this study is the ability to interpret problems and the habit of examining problem-solving carried out into the differences between the two categories.

Abstract

Indigenous people have a very strong connection with culture. The national curriculum needs to provide a place for student learning in indigenous people. Mathematics as knowledge applied in daily life activities becomes relevant to the culture of indigenous people. The purpose of this study is to obtain an overview related to the perspective and challenge of ethnomathematics as a contextual learning mathematics framework for indigenous people. This research is a qualitative study with an ethnographic approach and is carried out on Ammatoa indigenous people, Tana Toa Village, Kajang District, Bulukumba Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The data sources in this study were the head of the Tana Toa village, the tribal chief of Ammatoa, and the teacher in the indigenous territories. Data collection is done through observation, in-depth interviews, literature studies, and document analysis. The results of this study indicate the association of Ammatoa culture with mathematical content which includes knowledge systems, traditional activities, and cultural artifacts. Domains of school mathematics content related to Ammatoa culture include; the concept of number, geometry, comparison, sequence and series, as well as probability and combinatorics. Mathematics learning in Ammatoa indigenous people needs to consider aspects of culture that involve collaborative involvement.

Abstract

Mathematics provides many benefits to human life and continues to grow. The development of mathematics begins with a paradigm shift of mathematics from experts and society. The paradigm of a person about mathematics will affect the way he learns and knows more about mathematics. This paradigm shift affects the changes in the implementation of the education system that impacts the curriculum, learning, and evaluation of mathematics learning. In addition, this paradigm shift also raises some problems in learning mathematics. This paper will provide an overview of how the journey of change of mathematical paradigm from time to time and give an idea of how the mathematics curriculum developed and how the pattern of learning and evaluation of mathematical learning done in the current era. In addition, this paper also provides an overview of the problems of mathematics education in Indonesia and its comparison from several countries namely Finland, Canada and Japan.

Abstract

Kreativitas mmatematis merupakan salah satu faktor penting yang digunakan sebagai tolok ukur keberhasilan pembelajaran matematika. Keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa dapat diasah dengan memberikan latihan soal yang mengacu pada aspek berpikir kreatif. Pandemi Covid-19 tidak menghalangi penelitian ini untuk mengukur kreativitas siswa yaitu dengan mengaplikasikan model Project Based Learning dengan setting daring. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah model Project Based Learning dengan setting daring dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu siswaa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Bogorejo tahun pelajaran 2020/2021. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol. Data diperoleh dari hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi pola bilangan yang terdiri dari pre-test dan post-test. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Project Based Learning dengan setting daring dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi pola bilangan. Hal tersebut didukung dengan hasil pengolahan data yang menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa memebuhi Batas Tuntas Aktual (BTA) lebih dari 75% dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang diaplikasikan dengan model Project Based Learning dengan setting daring lebih dari kelas yang diajar menggunakan pembelajaran daring

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir divergen dalam pembelajaran matematika dapat ditinjau melalui gender yang mempengaruhi pola pikir seseorang dan pola pikir dalam menghadapi math anxiety. Artikel ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai kemampuan berpikir divergen ditinjau dari math anxiety dan gender pada pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian dengan metode literature review. Pencarian database yanga digunakan meliputi Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science. Adapun banyak artikel yang dikaji yaitu 15 artikel yang bersumber dari jurnal nasional maupun jurnal internasional. Hasil kajian diperoleh bahwa komponen flexibility di dalam kemampuan berpikir divergen perlu ditingkatkan dengan merancang pemikiran siswa pada proses pembelajaran matematika agar dapat berpikir secara meluas dan kreatif serta mengontrol math anxiety siswa dalam belajar, math anxiety dapat berpengaruh dalam bermatematika karena setiap individu memiliki tingkat kecemasan yang berbeda, dan perempuan mempunyai math anxiety yang lebih tinggi daripada laki-laki. Gender berpengaruh dalam bermatematika karena perempuan dan laki-laki mengontrol pembelajaran matematika dengan kecakapan yang berbeda oleh masing-masing anak melalui motivasi yang diberikan sesuai dengan gender.

Abstract

Artikel ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai kemampuan representasi matematis dengan memanfaatkan pendekatan SPUR. Penelitian dengan metode literature review berdasarkan kajian penelitian-penelitian terdahulu yang relevan mengenai kemampuan representasi matematis juga pendekatan SPUR. Dikaji dan diseleksi beberapa artikel yang diperoleh dari pencarian melalui aplikasi Publish or Perish 7. Adapun banyak artikel yang dikaji yaitu 13 artikel yang bersumber dari jurnal nasional maupun jurnal internasional. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa melalui pendekatan SPUR dapat meningkatkan dan melatih siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Salah satu kemampuan yang siswa harus miliki adalah kemampuan representasi matematis, agar dengan mudah mempresentasikan solusi dari suatu masalah.

Abstract

Matematika adalah salah satu ilmu dasar yang diajarkan sejak sekolah dasar yang menekankan pada pemahaman konsep. Penggunaan media pembelajaran yang tepat adalah salah satu cara untuk menanamkan pemahaman konsep pada siswa. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian yang dilaksanakan adalah memberikan pengetahuan dan memotivasi para guru Sekolah Dasar YPII Cabang Semarang untuk mengembangkan keterampilan dan kreatifitas dalam membuat media pembelajaran dengan menggunakan teknologi komputer. Metode yang digunakan untuk merealisasikan tujuan adalah dengan pelaksanaan ceramah dan demonstrasi berisi pelatihan dan simulasi, pendampingan dan workshop untuk membantu guru membuat media pembelajaran menggunakan bantuan computer serta pemberian penugasan di akhir kegiatan. Pada akhir kegiatan setiap guru menghasilkan sebuah produk media pembelajaran. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini adalah para guru merasakan manfaat kegiatan, memperoleh pengetahun baru, dapat membuat media pembelajaran sederhana dengan menggunakan bantuan komputer dan merasa tertantang untuk terus mengembangkan kemampuannya untuk memanfaatkan media komputer dalam membuat media pembelajaran

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning model on students' mathematical critical thinking skills and to analyze indicators of critical thinking skills according to this literature review. The research method used is Systematic Literature Review or (SLR). This study traced 15 nationally accredited articles on Sinta 2 to Sinta 5 obtained from Google Scholar. The results showed that 1) The Discovery Learning model had a positive and significant impact on students' critical thinking skills in each educational unit, Elementary School , Junior High School, and Senior High School. 2) The application of the Discovery Learning model is able to improve students' critical thinking skills. 3) The indicators recommended to be used as a reference for students' critical thinking skills are (1) Identification, (2) Define, (3) Enumerate, (4) Analysis, (5) List, and (6) Self-correct.
