Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyse research trends and address knowledge gaps in order to improve STEM-ESD learning. Technical terms are explained upon first use, and sentence structure is clear and unambiguous. The bibliometric review examines current research progress, trends, and updates related to STEM-ESD learning. The study used the Scopus database to select documents and VOSviewer software to investigate bibliometrics. STEM-ESD research shows an upward trend based on the analysis of 19 collections of STEM and ESD learning papers from 2010 to 2023. Indonesia leads in conducting STEM-ESD research, with the highest number of publications on this theme in 2022. In 2010, the significance of STEM-ESD research was its application in the STEM curriculum. STEM-ESD research has facilitated the inclusion of various social science topics in the learning process. This fosters 21st-century skills in students through a project-based learning model. Further STEM-ESD research can be advanced by improving pedagogical design capacity, biodiversity, sustainable development goals, formal and initial teacher training, biology education, and sustainable learning. This will lead to more innovative research.

Abstract

This study examines the potential of STEM in the context of indigenous farming systems in Urug Village to improve agricultural sustainability, increase crop yields, and promote environmental conservation through education. Surveys and data collection to identify challenges and opportunities, and to develop solutions that meet the needs of indigenous communities while prioritizing sustainability and environmental conservation are practical steps for this study. Data was collected from the agricultural practices of the Urug indigenous community using the survey method, which included participatory observations, interviews, literature reviews, and documentation. Technical terms are explained upon first mention. The Urug indigenous community follows a series of rice planting procedures. These include babad susukan, seed preparation, seed soaking for two days, stocking, ngabaladah, babad, mingul, ngangler, tandur, ngoyos, ngadares, dibuwat (harvest), lantayan, and ngunjal. The study of science in the community centers around concepts such as astronomy, ecosystems, simple aircraft, pressure, temperature, and heat. Additionally, simple technologies such as terracing, etem, and leuit are employed. Agricultural engineering focuses on environmentally friendly rice farming. Mathematics deals with numbers and operations used in solving numeric problems, as in the calculation of the Pranatamangsa calendar and the Tandur. This agricultural knowledge can be integrated into STEM education.

Abstract

Many researchers or teachers need more and more complete information about the evaluation of the implementation of learning or the ability measurement tools used to find out how much learning outcomes are shown by their students. In this article, it is shown how to analyze questions based on the level of difficulty and suitability of test item items; especially on HOTS (Higher-Order Thinking Skill) based test questions which were developed based on a cognitive hierarchy adopted from Bloom's taxonomy (C4, C5, C6). The analysis process was carried out based on Sumintono's (2015) explanation of the combination of standard deviation (SD) values and logit average values (Mean). Then perform the criteria for the outfit mean square (MNSQ) value, the Z-standard outfit value (ZSTD) and the point measure correlation value (Pt. Measure Corr) (Boone et al., 2014). The analysis technique was carried out through Rasch modeling assisted by the Winsteps 3.75 application. As for the grouping of difficulty levels according to Sumintono (2015), namely 1) difficult question category (logit value is greater + 1SD); 2) difficult question category (value 0.0 logit +1 SD); 3) easy question category (value 0.0 logit -1 SD); and 4) the category of questions is very easy (value less than -SD), as well as for the criteria used to measure the suitability of item items using, 1) the value of 0.5 MNSQ 1.5; 2) value -2.0 ZSTD +2.0; and 3) the value of 0.4 PT-Measure Corr 0.85, (Boone et al., 2014). The results of the analysis show that there are variations in the level of difficulty and suitability of HOTS-based test items. The item analyzed had an acceptable level of suitability and was feasible to maintain because all items met these three criteria. Thus, the collection of HOTS-based test questions is in a good category because it can identify students' various abilities in higher-order thinking with varying levels of difficulty.

Abstract

Technological advances require a teacher as an educator to always innovate in conveying material to students. It is inseparable from education, in which there are processes, including approaches, models, methods and learning media. In this article, the author analyzes the design of various application innovations in the learning process by reviewing the literature with a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of this study, the process approach uses a QR code website, the model uses an inquiry model, namely laboratory with camera, laboratory with website. Media innovation using an AR-based snapchat application. Making these innovations aims to make it easier for students to achieve learning goals such as critical thinking, systematic thinking and process skills. Key words: innovation, approach, model, media   ABSTRAK Kemajuan teknologi menuntut seorang guru sebagai pendidik untuk selalu berinovasi dalam menyampaikan materi kepada siswa. Hal ini tidak terlepas dari pendidikan, yang di dalamnya terdapat proses, meliputi pendekatan, model, metode, dan media pembelajaran. Dalam artikel ini, penulis menganalisis desain berbagai inovasi aplikasi dalam proses pembelajaran dengan meninjau literatur dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini, pendekatan proses menggunakan website QR code, model menggunakan model inquiry yaitu laboratorium dengan kamera, laboratorium dengan website. Inovasi media menggunakan aplikasi snapchat berbasis AR. Abstract

The research conducted is a literature study that aims to examine various literatures on learning media innovations that can be useful for teachers, students, and education staff in teaching and learning activities. Literature study is library research that obtains data on library research (research design). The literature study conducted is a research that uses a narrative review research design. The articles used in the research are research originating from accredited and non-accredited international and national journals, proceedings, theses, theses. In the advancement of information and communication technology, innovation is needed that develops with the aim of having an important influence on education. Plantnet application is an application of various images and retrieval for the plant identification process. This application is useful to help identify plant species from photos, through visualization recognition software. Development of pocket books as an innovation to support the use of plantnet learning media technology. Key words: Interactive learning media, Plantnet application, Digital pocket book, learning innovation   ABSTRAK Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian studi literatur yang bertujuan untuk mengkaji berbagai literatur tentang inovasi media pembelajaran yang dapat bermanfaat bagi guru, siswa, maupun tenaga Pendidikan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar.  Studi literatur merupakan penelitian kepustakaan yang memperoleh data pada riset pustaka (research design). Penelitian studi literatur yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian yang menggunakan desain penelitian narrative review. Artikel yang digunakan pada penelitian merupakan penelitian yang berasal dari jurnal internasional dan nasional yang terakreditasi dan non terakreditasi, prosiding, tesis, skripsi. Pada kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dibutuhkan adanya inovasi yang berkembang dengan tujuan memiliki pengaruh penting terhadap pendidikan. Aplikasi plantnet merupakan aplikasi berbagai gambar dan pengambilan untuk proses identifikasi tanaman. Aplikasi ini bermanfaat untuk membantu mengidentifikasi spesies tanaman dari foto, melalui perangkat lunak pengenalan visualisasi. Abstract

21st century skills require students to have skills such as creative thinking skills, critical thinking and problem solving, communication, and collaboration. With these skills, students are expected to be able to compete and survive through life changes in the future. Learning media is one of the learning tools provided by the teacher to facilitate students understanding the learning content. Innovative learning media is expected to reduce learning loss during the pandemic. One of the learning media that is expected to create an interesting, conducive learning atmosphere, and be able to transfer learning materials easily and efficiently is flipbook media. The aims of this research aremaking a flipbook based on augmented reality as one of the biology learning media. The research method used is a literature review or literature study. The references used focus on biology learning media, flipbooks, augmented reality, and biology learning media innovations. The research articles used are the results of research within the last 10 years. The research data were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The result of this research is an innovation of biology learning media, namely an augmented reality-based flipbook. Key words: augmented reality, flipbook, biology   ABSTRAK Keterampilan abad 21 menuntut peserta didik untuk memiliki kecakapan seperti keterampilan berpikir kreatif, berpikir kritis dan pemecahan masalah, berkomunikasi, dan berkolaborasi. Dengan keterampilan tersebut, peserta didik diharapkan dapat bersaing dan bertahan melalui perubahan kehidupan kedepannya. Media pembelajaran merupakan salah satu alat belajar yang disediakan guru untuk memfasilitasi siswa memahami konten pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran yang inovatif diharapkan dapat mengurangi learning loss selama masa pandemi. Salah satu media pembelajaran yang diharapkan dapat menciptakan suasana belajar yang menarik, kondusif, serta bisa mentransfer materi pembelajaran secara mudah dan efisien yaitu media flipbook. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu pembuatan flipbook berbasis augmented reality sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran biologi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kajian pustaka atau study literature. Referensi yang digunakan berfokus pada media pembelajaran biologi, flipbook, augmented reality, dan inovasi media pembelajaran biologi. Artikel penelitian yang digunakan merupakan hasil penelitian dalam kurun waktu 10 tahun terakhir. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Abstract

Covid-19 outbreak in the country has hit various public sectors which have an impact on various problems and crises. The spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has made the whole world feel difficult and forced to start learning through technology in a unique way with distance learning methods in a network or online system. One way to help the effectiveness of distance learning is to use interactive learning media. learning especially in biology lessons, including: 3D learning media, interactive videos, virtual laboratories, website-based learning media and others. Three-dimensional media is media without projections whose visual presentation is three-dimensional. This media can be tangible as real objects, both living and inanimate, and can be tangible as imitations that represent the original. However, one of the drawbacks of 3D learning media is that they cannot see a process. The research method in writing this article is by applying qualitative methods with literature studies. Based on the results of the study, it was found that 3-dimensional media integrated with process animation videos and additional features of text, audio, and website links can be an alternative interactive learning media that can clarify subject matter that is difficult to convey conventionally. It is hoped that this 3-dimensional learning media innovation can strengthen students' conceptual understanding of a material and train students' self-regulated learning. Key words: learning media, 3 dimensions, biology, technology   ABSTRAK Wabah Covid-19 di tanah air menerjang berbagai sektor publik yang berdampak dengan berbagai masalah dan krisis. Meluasnya pandemi wabah covid-19 membuat seluruh dunia merasa kesulitan dan terpaksa dalam memulai pembelajaran melalui teknologi dengan cara unik dengan metode pembelajaran jarak jauh dalam sistem jaringan atau daring. Salah satu cara untuk membantu efektivitas pembelajaran jarak jauh maka dibutuhkan media pembelajaran interaktif. pembelajaran khususnya dalam pelajaran biologi, diantaranya: media pembelajaran 3D, video interaktif, laboratorium virtual, media pembelajaran berbasis website dan lainnya. Media tiga dimensi merupakan media tanpa proyeksi yang penyajiannya secara visual tiga dimensi. Media ini dapat berwujud sebagai benda asli baik hidup maupun mati, dan dapat berwujud sebagai tiruan yang mewakili aslinya. Akan tetapi, salah satu kekurangan dari media pembelajaran 3D adalah belum bisa melihat suatu proses. Metode penelitian dalam penulisan artikel ini dengan menerapkan metode kualitatif dengan studi literatur. Berdasarkan hasil telaah, didapatkan bahwa media 3 dimensi yang diintegrasikan dengan video animasi proses serta tambahan fitur teks, audio, dan link website ini dapat menjadi alternatif media pembelajaran interaktif yang dapat memperjelas materi pelajaran yang sulit disampaikan secara konvesional. Harapannya inovasi media pembelajaran 3 dimensi ini dapat memperkuat pemahaman konsep siswa terhadap suatu materi serta melatih self-regulated learning siswa. Abstract

Learning media is a tool used in the learning process to convey messages, ideas or ideas in the form of teaching materials to students by the teacher. One of the media that can be used for biodiversity material is image media. However, image media still has shortcomings in the learning process, therefore researchers study image media with the help of naturalist applications. The method used in this research is the method of literature review or literature review. Study of literature obtained from various sources, both journals, books, documentation, internet and libraries. The results show that innovation using inaturalist media can be applied by teachers in biodiversity learning because it makes it easier for teachers in the learning process, and can improve digital student literacy. Key words: Learning media,  Naturalist apps   ABSTRAK Media pembelajaran adalah alat yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran untuk menyampaikan pesan, ide atau gagasan berupa bahan ajar kepada siswa oleh guru. Salah satu media yang dapat digunakan pada materi keanekaragaman hayati adalah media gambar. Namun media gambar masih memiliki kekurangan dalam proses pembelajaran maka dari itu peneliti berinovasi media gambar dengan bantuan aplikasi inaturalis. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode studi kepustakaan atau literatur review. Studi literature didapat dari berbagai sumber baik jurnal, buku, dokumentasi, internet dan pustaka Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inovasi gambar menggunakan media inaturalist dapat diaplikasikan oleh guru pada pembelajaran keanekaragaman hayati karena dapat memudahkan guru dalam proses pembelajaran, dan dapat meningkatkan literasi digital siswa.  Kata kunci: Media pembelajaran, Aplikasi inaturalist

Abstract

This study aims to identify the misconceptions experienced by grade XI high school students on osmoregulation and excretory system material, and analyze the sources that cause these misconceptions. A good understanding of the concepts in this material is very important because it is related to the physiological processes that occur in the human body. This study used descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through multiple-choice diagnostic tests through google form and in-depth interviews as well as documentation and literacy studies. The research subjects amounted to 283 grade XI students from three high schools in the West Sumatra city area, namely SMA N 1 Payakumbuh, SMA N 2 Linggo Sari Baganti, SMA N 3 Muaro Jambi, SMA N 3 South Solok, SMA N 2 Sipora Kab. Kep. Mentawai. The results showed that most students had misconceptions on concepts such as osmoregulation mechanism & Excretion System. The sources of misconceptions identified include initial misconceptions, incomplete teacher explanations, inadequate textbooks, and difficulties in visualizing complex processes. These findings form the basis for developing teaching materials that are more effective and contextualized in correcting student misconceptions. Abstract

The object of learning biology is the universe and its contents. However, not all of these objects can be brought to school. One of the biological materials with these characteristics is environmental change material which is taught in class X SMA. On the other hand, teachers have attempted to design strategies to maximize learning, starting from approaches, models, methods, and media. Through biology learning innovations that integrate technology can facilitate more effective and enjoyable learning. The contextual approach with the field study method is very suitable to support learning about environmental change. Therefore, an innovation in biology learning was carried out on environmental change material. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques, namely literature studies from articles from various journals, websites, and books that are relevant to the topics discussed. The results of this study are recommendations for innovative field study methods and contextual approaches in learning about environmental change with the help of technology. The use of these methods and approaches uses Google Earth technology, Class Tools, IoT, Source Net + HP Camera, Google Spreadsheets, Macroinvertebrates, LiveGap Charts, and Instagram which are expected to produce more meaningful learning.
