Abstract

Kualitas pendidikan tingkat dasar sangat bergantung pada peningkatan kapabilitas profesional para pengajarnya. Dalam konteks ini, kepemimpinan instruksional dari kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin pembelajaran memegang peran krusial. Salah satu mekanisme pembinaan yang terbukti efektif adalah supervisi klinis. Suatu pendekatan yang dilaksanakan secara reflektif dan kolaboratif. Berdasarkan analisis studi pustaka terhadap literatur ilmiah, jurnal terakreditasi, dan laporan resmi pada tahun 2019 hingga 2024 dengan kata kunci supervisi klinis, kepemimpinan instuksional, dan profesionalsime guru. Penelitian ini ini mengungkap hasil bahwa implementasi supervisi klinis yang sistematis signifikan dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru secara holistik, mencakup aspek pedagogis, profesional, sosial, dan kepribadian. Kemudian efektivitasnya diperkuat oleh kapasitas kepala sekolah dalam menegakkan visi pembelajaran, membangun komunitas belajar, serta memberikan umpan balik yang membangun. Sinergi antara kedua elemen ini pada akhirnya menciptakan ekosistem sekolah yang reflektif dan kolaboratif, dimana kepala sekolah berfungsi sebagai katalisator bagi lahirnya guru-guru pembelajar yang adaptif dan profesional.

Abstract

Kinerja guru sekolah dasar masih menjadi permasalahan penting dalam peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran, sehingga diperlukan pendekatan supervisi yang mampu mendorong perbaikan kinerja secara berkelanjutan. Salah satu pendekatan yang digunakan adalah supervisi klinis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara sistematis efektivitas supervisi klinis dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru sekolah dasar, aspek kinerja guru yang dipengaruhi, serta pola dan konteks penerapannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan mengacu pada prosedur PRISMA. Data diperoleh dari 15 artikel ilmiah yang dipublikasikan pada rentang tahun 2021–2025 dan ditelusuri melalui Google Scholar dan Crossref menggunakan aplikasi Publish or Perish. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi klinis terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru sekolah dasar, terutama pada aspek perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas, dan evaluasi hasil belajar. Supervisi klinis yang dilaksanakan secara sistematis melalui tahapan perencanaan, observasi, refleksi, dan tindak lanjut mampu mendorong perbaikan kinerja guru melalui umpan balik yang konstruktif dan dialog profesional. Selain itu, supervisi klinis diterapkan dalam berbagai konteks sekolah dan model pelaksanaan, baik secara individu maupun kelompok. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa supervisi klinis merupakan strategi supervisi yang relevan dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Amidst rapid urbanization and the large-scale migration of young people from rural areas to cities and abroad, a group of rural residents continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to staying in their villages and actively contributing to local development. This study aims to: 1) describe the various contributions of rural youth who assume leadership roles in mobilizing communities to improve collective welfare; 2) analyze youth behavior in building community networks that support sustainable livelihoods; 3) identify key factors influencing rural youth leadership in village development. The research employed a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to capture the lived experiences of rural youth leaders. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, supported by observation and documentation. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings reveal that rural youth function as agents of community-based initiatives and the strengthening of social competitiveness. Youth leadership revitalizes mutual cooperation, social solidarity, and local independence, enabling communities to respond adaptively to socio-economic challenges. The novelty of this study lies in its focus on youth-led collective leadership as a sustainable alternative to rural out-migration, linking grassroots youth agency with the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Practically, the findings offer a replicable strategy for policymakers and rural development practitioners to empower youth as key drivers of inclusive and sustainable village development.

Abstract

The increasing integration of digital technologies in education, particularly during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, has intensified interest in understanding technology acceptance. The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) has been widely applied in educational research; however, existing reviews remain fragmented and lack a longitudinal, model-focused synthesis.This study employed a PRISMA 2020–guided systematic literature review of UTAUT-based research in educational contexts published between 2015 and 2025. A structured search of the Scopus database identified 13,131 records. Following duplicate removal and multi-stage screening based on predefined inclusion criteria, 56 empirical journal articles were retained. Study quality was assessed using a combined framework integrating the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool (MMAT) and Kitchenham’s checklist. Data were analysed using descriptive and thematic synthesis.Findings indicate a substantial increase in UTAUT-based studies during the COVID-19 period, with e-learning, mobile learning, and learning management systems as dominant technologies. Quantitative approaches, particularly Structural Equation Modelling, predominated. Performance Expectancy emerged as the most consistent predictor of behavioural intention, followed by Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, and Facilitating Conditions. Research remains geographically concentrated in Asia and largely focused on behavioural intention rather than actual use behaviour.This review highlights the sustained relevance of UTAUT in educational technology research while identifying methodological and conceptual gaps, including limited attention to learning outcomes, overreliance on cross-sectional designs, and emerging extensions related to AI-enabled learning. Future research should integrate longitudinal and mixed-method approaches and align technology acceptance with educational effectiveness.

Abstract

Many partnerships between vocational high schools (SMK) and industry (DUDI) remain limited to formal administrative arrangements such as Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), without effective managerial governance. As a result, these collaborations often have limited impact on graduate employability. This study analyzes how managerial functions—planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling (POAC)—shape the effectiveness and sustainability of school–industry partnerships in Indonesia and proposes an adaptive partnership management model. This research employed a qualitative comparative multi-site design involving two private vocational schools in Mojokerto, Indonesia. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 27 key informants, supported by alumni data (n=87), participatory observations, and document analysis. Data validity was ensured through source and methodological triangulation. The findings reveal two partnership archetypes: (1) the Gradual Collaborative Model, characterized by value-based planning, formal structures, and institutionalized governance; and (2) the Adaptive Operational Model, which demonstrates strong operational flexibility but limited strategic documentation. Based on these findings, the study proposes an Adaptive-Strategic Partnership Model that integrates POAC managerial functions, collaborative governance principles, and outcome-based evaluation within a dynamic partnership cycle. The novelty of this research lies in reconceptualizing classical management theory in the context of inter-organizational educational partnerships and proposing a tiered DUDI engagement typology as a strategic instrument for strengthening vocational education governance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Academic Supervision (X1) and Continuous Professional Development (X2) on the Professional Competence of Junior High School Teachers (Y) in Penajam Paser Utara Regency. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The sample consisted of 234 junior high school teachers selected proportionally from the research population. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale to measure the variables of Academic Supervision, Continuous Professional Development, and Professional Competence. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of a statistical program. The results indicate that partially Academic Supervision (X1) has a positive and significant effect on Professional Competence (Y) with a significance value of 0.000 (0.05). Continuous Professional Development (X2) also shows a positive and significant effect on Professional Competence (Y) with a significance value of 0.000 (0.05). Simultaneously, Academic Supervision (X1) and Continuous Professional Development (X2) significantly influence Professional Competence (Y), as indicated by an F value of 15.364 with a significance level of 0.000. The coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.117 indicates that 11.7% of the variance in teachers’ professional competence (Y) can be explained by Academic Supervision (X1) and Continuous Professional Development (X2), while the remaining 88.3% is influenced by other factors outside the research model.

Abstract

Evaluation of Supervision as the Role of the Principal and Its Impact on Improving the Quality of Teaching and Learning Activities in Elementary Schools: A Literature Review Study Background: The quality of teaching and learning activities in elementary schools is a fundamental pillar of education, the success of which is heavily influenced by the principal's role as an academic supervisor. However, supervision is often perceived merely as an administrative formality. Objective: This study aims to evaluate the implementation of supervision by principals and analyze its impact on improving the quality of teaching and learning activities at the elementary level through a systematic literature review. Methods: The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The article selection process followed the PRISMA protocol across Google Scholar, SINTA, and Garuda databases within the 2020–2025 timeframe. Fifteen selected articles were analyzed using data extraction and thematic synthesis techniques. Results: Findings indicate that clinical supervision and classroom visitations are the most effective methods for enhancing teacher professionalism. Supervisory evaluation has a significant impact on innovative teaching methods, orderly instructional administration, and increased student engagement in class. Conclusion: Supervision that is carried out consistently, collaboratively, and followed by concrete follow-up is proven to sustainably transform the quality of teaching and learning activities in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to explore leadership strategies to address the paradox of success in high-performing educational institutions, where past achievements often create strategic and cognitive inertia that hinders future adaptation. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology, 48 recent articles (2021–2025) from reputable databases such as Scopus and Google Scholar were synthesized. The analysis reveals that inertia in high-performing organizations manifests as an invisible cage and status quo bias, preventing innovation and adaptation. The study identifies Critical Leadership as a key mechanism to overcome this inertia through executive curiosity, digital emancipation, and interim leadership. Furthermore, Maintenance Innovation is conceptualized as a dynamic capability carried out by agile teams, enabling organizations to adapt and innovate continuously. The contribution of this study lies in its systematic synthesis of research on critical leadership, organizational inertia, and maintenance innovation in educational settings, providing a unified framework for overcoming challenges in high-performing schools. The novelty of this research lies in redefining Maintenance Innovation as a dynamic process that sustains performance amid technological disruptions, in contrast to traditional views of innovation as routine. Additionally, the study introduces Critical Leadership as a transformative, disruptive force that shifts leadership roles from merely maintaining quality to fostering productive dissatisfaction to stimulate innovation. This research offers valuable insights for educational leaders and policymakers on how to manage change and innovation while maintaining quality. However, further empirical research using quantitative and mixed-methods approaches is needed to validate these findings and assess their application across diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' perceptions of teacher discipline and its relationship with learning achievement at the high school (SMA) level. Teacher discipline is one of the important factors that affect the learning process, where teacher discipline can set a positive example and create a conducive learning environment. This study uses a survey method by distributing questionnaires to students in several high schools in the Surabaya-East Java area randomly. The data was analyzed using the results of the validity test of the instruments filled in by students about teacher discipline and learning achievement. The results of the study show that most students have a positive perception of teacher discipline. Disciplined teachers are considered to be able to increase students' motivation and concentration in learning, which ultimately has a positive impact on learning achievement. In addition, it found an insignificant relationship between teacher discipline and learning achievement, where higher teacher discipline was less likely to correlate with better learning achievement. The conclusion of this study is that students' perception of teacher discipline does not have a significant influence on learning achievement at the high school level. Therefore, it is important for teachers to continue to understand the norms that exist in schools with teachers who actively teach in the classroom and learning activities to support students' academic achievement.

Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education demands a transformation of supervisory functions that balances technological innovation with human values. This study aims to explore the conceptualization of educational supervision at the intersection of spirituality and technopreneurship within AI-integrated learning environments. The method employed was a qualitative Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA 2020 protocol. A systematic search was conducted on the Scopus database with strict inclusion criteria, yielding 12 final articles assessed for quality using the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool (MMAT). Synthesis results indicate significant conceptual fragmentation where literature remains separated between AI-technology domains and spiritual-value domains, without holistic integration or explicit discussion regarding technopreneurship. No comprehensive model was found bridging spiritual values with AI-based technopreneurship practices, and implementation challenges were reported in a fragmented manner per domain. This research provides theoretical, methodological, and practical contributions for developing an integrative supervision framework. It is concluded that transforming educational supervision in the AI era requires integrating spiritual values and entrepreneurial insights to create a holistic and sustainable ecosystem.
