Abstract

This research analyzes the school principal's effective communication towards improving teacher performance. Effective principal-teacher communication is essential for building trust and mutual support. This research uses qualitative methods, with a narrative research design involving five class teachers in one of the elementary schools in Cibitung Sub-District, Bekasi Regency, West Java Province. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation and documentation studies. Inductive and thematic data analysis was conducted using NVivo 12 Plus to identify, evaluate, and create themes expressed by participants. This research shows that the principal's effective communication has an impact on the performance of classroom teachers through the principles established by the principal. This research contributes to improving effective school principal communication so that it has an impact on the quality of educational units and the findings can be used by policy makers in determining the direction of school principals in leading educational units.

Abstract

Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) masih menjadi salah satu penyakit yang endemis dimasyarakat, upaya memotivasi masyarakat untuk melaksanakan 3M Plus terus dilakukan pemerintah melalui kerjasama lintas program dan lintas sektor termasuk tokoh masyarakat dan swasta. Musim hujan, adanya tampungan air dan kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam memperhatikan jentik nyamuk menjadi salah satu faktor penyebab terjadinya DBD. Tujuan kegiatan adalah mengimplementasikan program PSN 3M Plus serta membentuk gerakan satu rumah satu jumantik. Sasasaran adalah ibu rumah tangga dan remaja putri di Desa Dham Pulo kecamatan Ingin Jaya Kabupaten Aceh Besar sejumlah 112 rumah. Kegiatan dilakukan mulai bulan Juni hingga September 2021. Metode pengabdian dilakukan dengan survey keberadaan jentik, penyuluhan, PSN, dan evaluasi.  Hasil survey lanjutan didapatkan indeks ABJ 88% indeks ini masih dibawah targat bebas jentik, nilai HI= 11 dan CI= 13,6 dengan tingkat kepadatan  sedang. Dari hasil evaluasi diketahui ada peningkatan tingkat kebersihan lingkungan rumah setelah dilakukan penyuluhan dan penetapan penanggung jawab jumantik disetiap rumah. Perlu dilakukan observasi secara berulang untuk mengetahui tingkat kepatuhan masyarakat tetap konsisten dalam memantau keberadaan jentik di lingkungan rumahnya sehingga angka bebas jentik tercapai.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe community empowerment through religious guidance in Kampung Pueh, Sematan, Sarawak, Malaysia, in 2023. The research method uses a qualitative-descriptive approach. Data collection was done using interview guidelines aimed at informants, namely Iran as the Pueh Village Leader, Muhammad Asnizan Mahadi as the Manager of Baitul Quddus Shrine, and Nurhayati binti Jali as an empowerment participant. The results of the research in this study are that empowerment activities through religious guidance were carried out in Pueh Village, namely 1) The place of implementation of empowerment at Surau Baitul Quddus; 2) the target of empowerment is converts (new brothers); 3) form of activity through Yasin reading Yasin Friday night, Knowledge Assembly, Learning to read the Koran and Iqra; The obstacle is that not everyone can attend each activity because they are busy. Lack of syiar in learning programs to read the Koran and Iqra; Lack of counseling for learning the Koran and Iqra, including counseling about why you should learn, the benefits of learning, and the disadvantages of not learning; 5) Supporting this is a strong desire to learn religion. 5) Supporting it is a strong desire to learn religion.

Abstract

Abstrak Pertanian berkelanjutan menjadi salah satu pedoman perubahan gerakan pertanian yang lebih mementingkan fungsi secara jangka panjang. Pengendalian hama tikus secara terpadu menjadi salah satu bentuk implementasi dari konsep pertanian berkelanjutan. Salah satu contohnya adalah pemanfaatan Tyto alba sebagai musuh alami tikus melalui penerapan Rubuha. Namun demikian tidak semua petani menerapkan Rubuha dalam pengendalian hama tikus. Oleh karena itulah penelitian tentang motivasi petani dalam memanfaatkan Tyto Alba sebagai pengendali hama tikus perlu dilaksanakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat motivasi petani dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi petani dalam memanfaatkan Tyto alba sebagai alternatif pengendali hama tikus melalui penerapan Rubuha. Lokasi penelitian ditentukan secara purpsive method yaitu di Desa Wringinrejo Kecamatan Gambiran Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Analisis yang digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat motivasi dan menganalisis faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi adalah likert summated ratings melalui tabulasi skor dan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan motivasi petani tergolong kategori tinggi dan faktor yang mempengaruhi secara signifikan yaitu tingkat pendidikan, pendapatan, frekuensi mengikuti penyuluhan dan sifat inovasi (keuntungan relatif, kompatibilitas, kompleksitas, trialabilitas dan observabilitas). Kata Kunci : Pertanian berkelanjutan, pengendalian hama terpadu, tikus, tyto alba, motivasi Abstract Sustainable agriculture is one of the guidelines for changing the agricultural movement that is more concerned with long-term and sustainable functions. Integrated control of rat pests is one form of implementation of the concept of sustainable agriculture. One example is the use of Tyto alba as a natural enemy of rats through the application of Rubuha (Owl Houses). However, not all farmers apply Rubuha in controlling rat pests. That's why research on farmers' motivation in using Tyto Alba as a rat pest controller needs to be carried out. This study aims to measure the level of farmer motivation and analyze the factors that influence farmer motivation in utilizing Tyto alba as an alternative to rat pest control through the application of Rubuha. The research location was determined using the purpsive method, namely in Wringinrejo Village, Gambiran District, Banyuwangi Regency. The analysis used to measure the level of motivation and analyze the factors that influence motivation is likert summated ratings through score tabulation and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show that farmer motivation is in the high category and the factors that influence it significantly are education level, income, frequency of attending counseling and the nature of innovation (relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability and observability). Abstract

Background: Therapy in chronic kidney disease aims to slow down the prognosis of the disease. Objectives: Describe the types of classes and names of most drugs in treating chronic kidney disease patients based on the stage of the disease. As well as analysing the use of renal risk drugs in patients with chronic kidney disease. Material and Methods: This descriptive research will be carried out in May-June 2023. The population of this study was the entire medical record of inpatient chronic kidney disease patients at Ansari Saleh Hospital. Data analysis was performed uni variat for the study of patient characteristics and therapy profiles, while the analysis of the use of renal risk medications refers to the 2019 renal handbook. Results: A total of 51 medical records were analysed. The top five drug classes based on stages 4 and 5 include diuretics, cephalosporin antibiotics, vitamins, trace elements, angiotensin II receptor blockers, and insulin. The top five drugs received by patients based on disease stages 4 and 5 consist of furosemide, ceftriaxone, aminefron®, candesartan, and insulin aspart. Renal risk drugs found in studies include drugs that need dose adjustment, are lisinopril, ramipril, cefixime, cefotaxime, meropenem, levofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, bisoprolol, diltiazem, and simvastatin. At the same time, renal-risk drugs that need to be avoided are hydrochlorothiazide and spironolactone. Conclusions: Furosemide diuretics are the most widely used therapy in stages 4 and 5. Hospitalised chronic kidney disease patients receive some renal risk drugs that, in the literature, need dose adjustment, and some need to be avoided.

Abstract

Introduction: Changes in the industrial revolution have increased the risk of copyright infringement of products, which can be detrimental to the creator. Therefore, better protection is needed to address this high risk.Purposes of the Research:  This research aims to analyze law enforcement related to copyright infringement in the era of the Industrial Revolution through case studies of judges' decisions.Methods of the Research: The research method used is the normative legal method by analyzing legislation and Court Decisions Number 505 K/Pdt.Sus-HKI/2021 and Number 1933 K/Pid.Sus/2021 through literature study, by applying descriptive legal interpretation techniques to reach the right conclusion.Results of the Research: The results showed that law enforcement against copyright infringement involves two main approaches, namely preventive and repressive. The preventive approach is carried out through regulations that provide legal certainty, such as the presence of the Copyright Act. Meanwhile, the repressive approach is realized through legal proceedings in court and out of court to take action against violations that occur. This study highlights several cases of copyright infringement in Indonesia and shows the importance of strong law enforcement to protect the rights of creators in the digital age.

Abstract

Kesehatan gigi dan mulut merupakan aspek penting dalam kehidupan seseorang, karena kondisi di rongga mulut ini dapat berdampak pada kesehatan secara keseluruhan. Persepsi harga dan waktu tunggu merupakan salah satu permasalahan yang dapat menyebabkan pengalaman tidak menyenangkan pada pasien selama perawatan dan akan mempengaruhi minat kunjungan ulang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengeruh persepsi harga, waktu tunggu terhadap  revisit intention yang dimediasi oleh word of mouth. Desain penelitian ini adalah jenis studi kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuisioner. Studi tersebut dilakukan di  Klinik Arini Dental Care (ADC) Karawang pada bulan Oktober 2024. Metode penelitian menggunakan pengambilan sampe melalui Accidental Sampling dengan jumlah sampel yang sebanyak 100 responden. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah  analisis regresi linear berganda dan uji sobel untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel mediasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang antara persepsi harga, waktu tunggu dan word of mouth terhadap revisit intention dengan nilai p-value 0.00 (<0.05), serta word of mouth dapat memediasi hubungan antara persepsi harga terhadap revisit intention di klinik ADC dengan nilai p-value  sebesar 0.02 (<0.05). Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh persepsi harga , waktu tunggu dan word of mouth terhadap revisit intention dan word of mouth dapat memediasi pengaruh antara persepsi harga terhadap revisit intention. Kata Kunci: Persepsi harga, revisit intention, waktu tunggu, word of mouth ABSTRACT Oral and dental health is an important aspect of a person's life because the condition of the oral cavity can impact overall health. Price perception and waiting time are issues that can cause unpleasant experiences for patients during treatment, affecting their intention to revisit. This study aims to determine the influence of price perception and waiting time on revisit intention, mediated by word of mouth. The study design is quantitative, using a questionnaire. The research was conducted at the Arini Dental Care (ADC) Clinic in Karawang in October 2024. The research method employed accidental sampling, with a sample size of 100 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression analysis and the Sobel test to determine the effect of the mediating variables. The results indicate that there is an influence of price perception, waiting time, and word of mouth on revisit intention, with a p-value of 0.00 (<0.05). Additionally, word of mouth mediates the relationship between price perception and revisit intention at the ADC clinic, with a p-value of 0.02 (<0.05). The conclusion of this study is that price perception, waiting time, and word of mouth influence revisit intention, and word of mouth can mediate the influence between price perception and revisit intention. Keywords: Price perception, revisit intention, waiting time, word of mouth.

Abstract

The most common physical risk at work is noise, which may cause several health issues. These include diseases of the auditory system and non-auditory impacts including poor communication, tension, anxiety, high blood pressure, and decreased productivity. At the production unit of PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia, Tbk. Plant Margomulyo, this research aimed to examine the association between respondent characteristics and noise intensity in the workplace and changes in workers' blood pressure before and after work. 51 respondents participated in the cross-sectional study using an analytical and observational methodology. The results showed that elevated blood pressure was significantly correlated with age (p = 0.000), duration of service (p = 0.007), usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) (p = 0.011), and noise intensity (p = 0.000). Nonetheless, no statistically significant correlation was seen between elevated blood pressure and dietary state (p = 0.467), smoking behaviors (p = 0.763), or history of hypertension (p = 0.170). These findings suggest that while lifestyle factors like smoking and nutritional status have less impact in this context, occupational factors— particularly noise exposure—as well as certain personal characteristics like age and length of service are linked to elevated blood pressure in workers.

Abstract

This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach to assess students' environmental awareness in class X E at SMA Negeri 1 Pangururan. The study was conducted from August to October 2024, with the population consisting of 288 students from eight classes. The sample included one biology teacher and 71 students from classes X E 7 and X E 8, selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and interviews with the teacher. The findings indicate that students have a good attitude toward environmental awareness, with a mean score of 81.99%. The study also highlights factors affecting students' active participation in learning, such as cooperation difficulties and lack of interest in the subject. The research suggests that the Problem-Based Learning model could improve student engagement and environmental awareness.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of agricultural extensionist in making organic fertilizer through maggot cultivation in Sukamakmur Village, Ajung Sub-district, Jember Regency. This research uses qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection uses observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses Miles and Huberman model. The research results show that role of agricultural extensionist in making organic fertilizer through maggot cultivation is divided into three processes, namely planning, management and results of maggot cultivation. In planning, extension workers carry out role of analysts in identifying environment through site surveys, checking tools, materials and feed. Extension agents as facilitators help provide tools and materials, capital and look for market opportunities. Extension agents as organizers carry out coordination, communication and evaluation. As an extension dynamist, mobilizes members of Tirto Bakti II farmer group to actively participate in comparative studies and bazaars. The role of motivator is carried out by motivating in verbal communication and plot demonstration. Extensionist as initiator provides suggestions in making derivative products such as fish feed, creating new packaging and labels. In management, extensionist as teachers/mentors carry out socialization and training activities. As a liaison, extensionist helping in preparing proposals of request assistance and facilities to the government. As advisors, extensionist advise on maintaining sustainability of maggot cultivation so that it continues to operate and increases the targets to be achieved. In the results of maggot cultivation, as agents of change, extensionist influence communities’ mindset to utilize waste through maggot cultivation and meet fertilizer needs with organic fertilizers.
