Abstract

A traffic accident is an unexpected and unintentional road event involving a vehicle with or without other road users which results in human casualties and property loss. Youth and productive age are one of the highest groups who become victims of traffic accidents. Therefore, safety riding is a program to prevent and reduce the number of traffic accidents. This research aims to determine the understanding of driving safety (safety riding) among automotive engineering education students at Muhammadiyah University of Puworejo. This research is a descriptive study with a cross sectional study design. This research was conducted from August - December 2023. The population in this research were students from the UMP automotive engineering education study program, from whom 160 research samples were then taken as respondents using random sampling. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The research results show that students' understanding of the principles of road safety is in the high category, namely 52%. This means that students in the Automotive Engineering Education study program at Muhammadiyah University, Purworejo, have a good understanding of the principles of safety riding.

Abstract

There are three great potentials possessed by Islamic boarding schools in their role of making the people's economy independent: This potential exists within the students, The role of Islamic boarding schools as a liaison for the surrounding community Islamic boarding schools as a resource for the surrounding community may play a role in collecting zakat and waqf. This type of research entails library research with data collection techniques beginning with the reading of references and concluding with their classification so that conclusions can be drawn regarding the concept of relevance raised regarding the model of zakat empowerment in Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia. Zakat empowerment approach at Islamic boarding schools is founded on the Quran and Hadith's teaching of doing the best for everyone, everywhere, including the local community. Islamic boarding school has implemented empowerment in education, society, culture, the environment, da'wah, health, and the economy. Consequently, via the development of the Amil zakat institution or zakat collection unit based on an Islamic boarding school, it is feasible to achieve the role and function of an Islamic boarding school, which is not just a cadre of religious thinkers/center of excellence. An institution that produces human resources for students and the local community, as well as an institution with the capacity to empower the community/agent of development.

Abstract

This research explores the development of students' critical thinking in mathematics learning through a longitudinal study approach. With a focus on problem solving, creative thinking, and conceptual understanding, this study aims to understand how students develop critical thinking skills over time. A longitudinal research method was used with 100 students from two secondary schools in Medan city as participants. Results showed significant improvements in students' critical thinking scores from the beginning to the end of the semester, with teacher training interventions and differences between schools making significant contributions. The implication of this study is the importance of innovative learning approaches and support for teachers in improving students' critical thinking skills in the context of mathematics learning

Abstract

This research was to find out the results of the bending and torsional stiffness testing of the SALWA car according to Formula SAE 2021 regulations. The research method was by designing through Solidworks 2014 software. Testing of test specimens referred to Formula SAE 2021 regulations. The front impact test results produced max Von Mises 1046.921 MPA with a displacement of 8,540 mm; the rear impact test resulted in a max Von Mises of 222,529 MPa with a max displacement of 6.85 mm; and the side impact test resulted in max Von Mises Stress of 104.15 MPa with a max displacement of 9,116 mm. In the front torsional test, the max Von Misses Stress reached 135,266 MPa with a total max displacement of 4,844 mm. The rear torsional test had a max Von Mises Stress value of 147,144 MPa with a displacement of 5.51 mm. The feasibility test still found connection and construction placement errors, and there was a low Factor of Safety value. In conclusion, the construction of the SALWA Electric Car prototype frame is not in accordance with Formula SAE regulations.

Abstract

Asas "No Work, No Pay" merupakan prinsip dalam hubungan kerja yang menyatakan bahwa pekerja hanya berhak menerima pembayaran atau upah jika mereka benar-benar melakukan pekerjaan atau perintah yang telah ditugaskan, dengan kata lain upah tidak diberikan jika mereka tidak melakukan pekerjaan. Selama masa Pandemi Covid-19 baik pengusaha maupun pekerja menghadapi tantangan yang signifikan, pandemi Covid-19 telah memaksa pengusaha untuk tidak mempekerjakan pekerja dengan berbagai pertimbangan baik terkait dengan regulasi berupa protokol kesehatan yang dikeluarkan oleh pemerintah maupun strategi perusahaan dalam upaya untuk mempertahankan keberlangsungan perusahaan. Pada masa pandemi Covid-19 penerapan asas ini juga memunculkan sejumlah polemik dan kontroversi terutama dalam situasi-situasi yang tidak dapat dikendalikan baik oleh pekerja maupun pengusaha. "No Work, No Pay" sebagai salah satu asas yang mengacu pada produktivitas sering digunakan untuk mempertahankan keberlangsungan usaha sebuah perusahaan terutama pada masa-masa sulit. Artikel ini mengeksplorasi penerapan asas "No Work, No Pay" terutama dalam kondisi darurat pada masa pandemi Covid-19, mencakup dampaknya terhadap upah pekerja dan keberlangsungan perusahaan. Artikel ini juga menyajikan alternatif proses atau langkah-langkah mitigasi yang dapat diambil untuk menjaga keseimbangan antara kebutuhan bisnis dan hak-hak pekerja selama masa krisis Pandemi Covid-19.

Abstract

As we age, body tissues are often subjected to structural and functional changes. Decreased muscle mass is a true sign of decreased function in the elderly. This has an impact on body balance in old age. There are two types of body balance: dynamic balance, where the body can maintain proper posture while moving, and static balance, where the body can maintain the center of gravity to support the body in an upright position while standing. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between muscle strength and dynamic balance in the elderly at the physiotherapy outpatient clinic of Husada Utama Hospital Surabaya. The method of this study was cross sectional with a sample size of 30 elderly people who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria by measuring muscle strength using Manual Muscle Testing and dynamic balance using the Timed Up and Go Test. The results of this study found that muscle strength was 5 at most with 7 respondents and balance values at the age of 66-69 years with normal values > 10 seconds as many as 8 respondents. The correlation test results show that the p-value is 0.008. The conclusion that can be obtained from this study is that there is a relationship between muscle strength and dynamic balance in the elderly at the outpatient clinic of Husada Utama Surabaya Hospital.

Abstract

Aging is part of the growth and development process, where major physiological changes occur, which impact on balance. Elderly people frequently develop balance abnormalities, which include issues with their walk, joint stiffness, and muscular weakness. Tandem gait exercise is an exercise performed by walking in a straight line with the heel touching the toe of the other foot at a distance of 3 to 6 meters with eyes open, this exercise is expected to balance in the elderly. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of tandem gait exercise on improving balance in the elderly. This research is an experimental research with quasi experimental type and research design of one group pre test and post test. The samples of this study were 20 elderly people at the Posyandu Lansia Karangpakis, Kabuh, Jombang. In this study, Berg balance scale was used to measure balance and tandem gait exercise was used for physiotherapy intervention. The results of this study showed that the mean value before tandem gait exercise was 39 and the mean value after tandem gait exercise was 56. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed a p-value of 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is an effect on improving balance in the elderly after being given tandem gait exercise. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that tandem gait exercise can improve balance in the elderly.

Abstract

The aim of safety riding outreach activities aims to provide knowledge and information about riding safety to the public so as to increase motorists' awareness of all the possibilities that may occur while riding. The stages of implementing activities are: 1) Analysis of program needs, 2) Activity planning, which is carried out in coordination with local residents. Everything is done by making a schedule to make it easier to carry out subsequent activities, 3) Carrying out activities by presenting safety riding material about riding safely and comfortably. Based on the results that have been carried out from planning, implementation to evaluation, it can be stated that community service activities are running well. From the results of the participant questionnaire, it was stated: 1) Implementation of activity programs with a percentage of 92 percent, 2) Mastery of resource material with a percentage score of 95 percent, 3) Usefulness of the material or program with a score of 89 percent, and 4) Participant satisfaction with a score percentage of 90 percent. This shows that the activity went very well and satisfied the participant

Abstract

Pendahuluan : Nyeri leher dengan spasme upper trapezius adalah masalah yang sering ditemui terutama pada karyawan dengan beban kerja yang memerlukan konsentrasi kepala ke depan, jika nyeri leher di biarkan dalam waktu yang lama akan mengakibatkan penurunan struktur jarinagan tubuh yang lain. Metodelogi : Mckenzie neck exercise merupakan bentuk latihan untuk mengurangi rasa nyeri leher serta dapat meningkatkan fleksibilitas otot leher, membantu mengurangi spasme pada otot, meningkatkan lingkup gerak sendi yang terbatas, serta mengembalikan postur leher pada posisi anatomisnya. Jenis latihan meliputi Chin Tucks Exercise, Neck Flexion (Suboccipital Stretch) Exercise, Neck Extension Exercise, McKenzie Side Bending Exercise, dan Neck Rotation McKenzie Exercise. Penelitian ini menggunakan one group pretest-postest pada 20 pasien karyawan dengan nyeri leher dengan spasme upper trapezius, yang berusia 25 - 50 tahun yang mendapatkan program latihan 3 x/minggu selama 1 bulan. Hasil : Diperoleh nilai p = 0,000 (p < 0,01) antara skor NRS sebelum dan sesudah diberikan McKenzie neck exercise, terdapat perubahan pada nilai rata-rata (mean) dari intensitas nyeri yang dialami karyawan dengan spasme Upper Trapezius. Nilai Mean dan Std. Deviation pre treatment adalah 5,00 + 0,795. Sedangkan pada hasil post-treatment menunjukkan penurunan menjadi Nilai Mean dan Std. Deviation adalah 2,40 + 0,503. Pembahasan : Terdapat pengaruh McKenzie neck exercise terhadap penurunan nilai nyeri leher dengan spasme uppertrapezius

Abstract

Pendahuluan : Di era modern saat ini tompo sudah jarang sekali digunakan masyarakat namun di desa Purwokerto kecamatan Srengat kabupaten Blitar masih banyak warga baik usia muda maupun tua yang bekerja sebagai perajin tompo dan memproduksi tompo setiap harinya. Selama bertahun-tahun para perajin tompo masih melakukan pekerjaan ini secara manual dengan posisi duduk serta posisi punggung yang sedikit membungkuk serta kepala ke depan sehingga sering menimbulkan keluhan muskuloskeletal. Keluhan muskuloskeletal adalah kondisi patologis yang mempengaruhi fungsi normal jaringan lunak sistem muskuloskeletal, termasuk pendukung seperti saraf, tendon, otot dan cakram intervertebralis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan posisi kerja, usia dan masa kerja dengan keluhan muskuloskeletal. Metodelogi : analitik observasional dengan studi cross-sectional. Subjek yang digunakan adalah perajin tompo di desa Purwokerto kecamatan Srengat yang berjumlah 50 orang. Hasil : Nilai posisi kerja (p=0,000), usia (p=0,001) dan masa kerja (p=0,001) sehingga menunjukan korelasi yang signifikan dengan keluhan muskuloskeletal. Pembahasan : Ada hubungan antara posisi kerja, usia dan masa kerja dengan keluhan muskuloskeletal.
