Abstract

Child sexual abuse is increasingly common in many countries and is a global concern. The Multi-disciplinary Teams (MDTs) reported 2,250 children recorded cases involving other forms of sexual violence such as molestation with a range of 561 boys and 1,689 girls. Child sexual abuse is still frequent and unresolved in Thailand. Sex education is essential for health promotion, and media plays an important role in promoting individual health status and prevention efforts. This study aims to educate the prevention of sexual violence through educational game media, namely snakes and ladders for adolescents to see the level of knowledge of adolescents regarding the prevention of sexual violence. This study is a quantitative study using a one group pretest posttest design, namely by conducting a pretest and posttest on 31 students at Thamavitya Mulniti School Thailand. Data on pre-test scores and post-test scores were analyzed using Paired Samples T-test with a 95% confidence level. Students' knowledge was obtained before education and snake and ladder games with an average score of 74.97 and students' knowledge after education and snake and ladder games with an average score of 83.16. The results of the study obtained P-Value 0.006≤0.05 means that at Alpha 5% there is a difference between the average knowledge of Pre-Test and Post-Test. There was an increase in student knowledge between before the intervention and after the intervention. The conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of sexual violence education with snakes and ladders on increasing adolescent knowledge.Keywords: Adolescent, sexual violence, snakes and ladders game

Abstract

Introduction: Violent extremism among students is a problem that must be addressed, and religious moderation programs are expected to be one effective intervention in improving psychological resilience. This study aims to evaluate the impact of religious moderation education on enhancing religious moderation among university students, with a focus on changes in national commitment, religious knowledge, tolerance, and anti-violent understanding. Method: This study employed a quantitative approach with a single-group pretest-posttest design and was conducted in a province in Indonesia from June to November 2024. The research participants consisted of 39 students involved in a religious moderation education intervention program. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire focusing on four main indicators of religious moderation. The data were then analyzed using a paired sample t-test with JASP version 19. Results: Findings showed a statistically significant increase in all variables after the intervention. National commitment increased from 27.15 to 31.82 (p < 0.001); religious knowledge from 30.33 to 31.95 (p = 0.008); tolerance from 32.69 to 34.10 (p = 0.032); and understanding of anti-violence from 34.10 to 35.79 (p = 0.020). Conclusion: Structured religious moderation education can enhance students' religious moderation by integrating Islamic identity and national responsibility.  Keywords: Religious Moderation; Psychological Resilience; Islamic Education; Extremism; Mental Health

Abstract

This community service program aimed to strengthen the literacy of santri (Islamic boarding school students) in religious moderation by integrating the core values of contextual jihad, inclusive nationalism, and ecotheology. The urgent need to fortify the younger generation's resilience against religious extremism, radicalism, and environmental apathy drove the initiative. The program employed a participatory action research method in Langsa City, focusing on the formation and training of cadres who acted as peer educators. A single-group pretest and posttest design involving 30 santri was used to measure changes in ecotheological practices and attitudes towards religious moderation and nationalism. The results demonstrated a highly significant increase in the santri's ecotheological practices (p < 0.001), evidenced by improved habits in water conservation, waste management, and use of reusable items. Furthermore, a significant strengthening was observed in their commitment to religious moderation and nationalism (p = 0.006), including stronger support for the rights of minorities, the Indonesian constitution (UUD 1945), and Pancasila. The study concludes that the peer-educator-based mentoring model is an effective strategy for simultaneously internalizing the integrative values of constructive jihad, nationalism, and environmental stewardship. This integrative approach offers a sustainable model for developing a generation that is religious, patriotic, and ecologically conscious, which can be replicated in other Islamic educational institutions. Abstract

Jajanan sehat adalah makanan yang bergizi, aman dikonsumsi, tidak mengandung bahan berbahaya (pewarna tekstil, boraks, formalin), serta memenuhi standar kebersihan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media buku cerita bergambar dan video animasi terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap siswa mengenai jajanan sehat di UPT SMP Negeri 31 Medan. Jenis penelitian adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest two group design. Sampel dalam penelitian adalah 60 siswa kelas VIII, dengan sampel yang dipilih secara purposive. Intervensi berupa promosi kesehatan menggunakan media buku cerita dan video animasi. Data pengetahuan dan sikap dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan, dianalisis menggunakan paired t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan (p<0,05) pada kedua media, dengan media video animasi lebih efektif meningkatkan pemahaman dan sikap positif siswa terhadap pemilihan jajanan sehat dibanding buku cerita. Kesimpulan, media berbasis audio-visual menjadi pilihan terbaik untuk edukasi jajanan sehat di sekolah.

Abstract

Children of migrant workers often face limited access to basic services and health education, which can negatively affect their personal hygiene practices. This community engagement initiative aimed to enhance self-efficacy and improve hygiene knowledge and behaviors among migrant children through simple, enjoyable, and contextually relevant approaches. The program was implemented at Sanggar Belajar Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, in July 2025, involving a total sample of 30 children aged 7-13 years. The intervention combined interactive lectures, demonstrations of the seven-step of proper handwashing, or what is commonly known as CTPS or Cuci Tangan Pakai Sabun, and toothbrushing techniques, as through a modified educational board game based on Snakes and Ladders. Monitoring was conducted descriptively through baseline and final observations, along with informal oral questioning (without formal questionnaires) to assess changes in knowledge, attitudes, participation, and signs of self-efficacy. The results indicated meaningful practical improvements: over 80% of participants could identify 3-5 correct hygiene practices; children showed increased confidence in demonstrating the seven CTPS steps and expressed commitment to brushing their teeth at least twice daily; and high levels of active participation were observed (≥25 children engaged in discussions, Q&A, and games until the end of the session). The program was well received by both participants and facilitators, suggesting that a combination of brief lectures, simulation, and gamification is practically effective for promoting hygiene in migrant community contexts Keywords: Personal Hygiene, Migrant Children, Indonesia, Self-Efficacy, Malaysia

Abstract

Global School-based Student Health Survey (GSHS) yang dirilis oleh Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (WHO) pada tahun terbaru menunjukkan bahwa di banyak negara, termasuk Indonesia, sekitar 30-40% siswa usia sekolah melaporkan pernah mengalami bentuk bullying, baik fisik, verbal, maupun cyber (APA, 2023) Fenomena ini diperparah dengan adanya perkembangan teknologi yang semakin memperluas ruang lingkup bullying hingga ke ranah daring. Di Indonesia, survei dari Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan pada tahun 2022 juga menunjukkan bahwa kasus bullying terus meningkat, mengindikasikan urgensi untuk menangani masalah ini dengan lebih terstruktur (WHO, 2023). Program Pengabdian Masyarakat ini dilakukan di SMPN 31 dengan sasaran nya adalah siswa-siswo kelas VII-7. Metode pengabdian yang dilakukan yaitu penyuluhan dengan metode ceramah dan diskusi dengan pemaparan materi yang disampaikan melalui tampilan PowerPoint. Indikator keberhasilan dari pengabdian ini yaitu peningkatan aspek pengetahuan terkait pencegahan bullying sebagai salah satu faktor penyebab terjadinya kerusakan Kesehatan mental dikalangan pelajar. Berdasarkan indicator keberhasilan tersebut didapati adanya peningkatan sebesar 28% terhadap Siswa yang telah diberikan penyuluhan terkait pentingnya memahami terkait dampak bullying pada lingkungan sekitar.
