Abstract

Typhoid fever is often experienced by children and teenagers. This happens because they do not realize the importance of food and environmental cleanliness. Typhoid fever is related to the patient's environment and behavior. Prevention of typhoid disease must be linked to clean and healthy living habits such as maintaining a hygienic diet and a clean and comfortable environment, especially for children who do not pay attention to cleanliness and health. The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between clean living behavior and environmental sanitation in Thyphoid patients at DR Pirngadi Regional Hospital, Medan. This type of research is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study were typhoid patients at DR Pirngadi Medan Hospital in 2023 for the period January 2023 – September 2023, totaling 585 patients. Determining the sample used interpretive estimation with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) where the number of samples in this study was 150 samples. Data analysis in this study used univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. The results of the research show that there is a relationship between clean living behavior in Thyphoid patients at DR Pirngadi Hospital, Medan, p - value < 0.05, there is a relationship between environmental sanitation in Thyphoid patients at DR Pirngadi Hospital, Medan, p - value < 0.05, simultaneously There is a relationship between clean living behavior and environmental sanitation in Thyphoid patients at DR Pirngadi Hospital, Medan, p - value < 0.05.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the dimensions and indicators needed to assess the performance of pharmacy officers, determine the weight of each dimension and indicator using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and carry out performance assessments using the rating scale method. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. The population in this study were 21 pharmacy officers who distributed medicine at Hermina Hospital in Medan. The sample used in this study used total sampling where the number of samples was the same as the population, so that the sample used was 21 pharmacy officers who distributed medicine at Hermina Hospital in Medan. The research results show that the factors used in assessing the performance of pharmacists when distributing medicine at Hermina Hospital in Medan in 2023 are work quality, presence, attitude, initiative, honesty and cooperation. The results of the performance assessment using the AHP method where the performance of pharmacy officers when distributing medicines at Hermina Hospital in Medan in 2023 were 4 people in the very good criteria, 5 people in the good criteria, 12 people in the medium criteria. In calculating the performance assessment of officers when distributing medicines using the rating scale method at Hermina Hospital in Medan in 2023, the priority work required when distributing medicines at Hermina Hospital in Medan in 2023 is collaboration and data results carried out by researchers which have the lowest influence on performance assessment. pharmacy officers during drug distribution at Hermina Hospital in Medan in 2023, namely the respondent's initiative.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the National Health Insurance (JKN) policy administered by the Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial in enhancing service quality at Royal Prima Marelan General Hospital. The primary issues identified include insufficient dissemination of policy guidelines to medical personnel and patients, complex administrative procedures, and limited service facilities available to JKN participants. Using a descriptive-analytic approach, the research applies the SERVQUAL (Service Quality) model and the Expectancy–Disconfirmation Theory (EDT) to evaluate the gap between patient expectations and perceived service quality. Data were obtained through observations, interviews, and questionnaires involving medical staff, administrative officers, and JKN patient participants. The findings reveal that the Tangibles and Reliability dimensions are relatively satisfactory; however, Responsiveness and Empathy remain low due to limited human resources and heavy workloads. The implementation of JKN policies by the Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial has not been fully optimized, primarily due to inadequate training, the absence of integrated digital information systems, and limited managerial support for systematic service quality monitoring and evaluation. Based on the EDT assessment, a notable mismatch exists between patient expectations and actual service experiences, resulting in dissatisfaction. Integrating the JKN policy framework with SERVQUAL and EDT highlights the need to strengthen policy dissemination, enhance human resource capacity, and reform management systems through digitalization and a human-centered approach to ensure equitable, efficient, and sustainable health services at Royal Prima Marelan General Hospital.
