Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the National Health Insurance (JKN) policy administered by the Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial in enhancing service quality at Royal Prima Marelan General Hospital. The primary issues identified include insufficient dissemination of policy guidelines to medical personnel and patients, complex administrative procedures, and limited service facilities available to JKN participants. Using a descriptive-analytic approach, the research applies the SERVQUAL (Service Quality) model and the Expectancy–Disconfirmation Theory (EDT) to evaluate the gap between patient expectations and perceived service quality. Data were obtained through observations, interviews, and questionnaires involving medical staff, administrative officers, and JKN patient participants. The findings reveal that the Tangibles and Reliability dimensions are relatively satisfactory; however, Responsiveness and Empathy remain low due to limited human resources and heavy workloads. The implementation of JKN policies by the Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial has not been fully optimized, primarily due to inadequate training, the absence of integrated digital information systems, and limited managerial support for systematic service quality monitoring and evaluation. Based on the EDT assessment, a notable mismatch exists between patient expectations and actual service experiences, resulting in dissatisfaction. Integrating the JKN policy framework with SERVQUAL and EDT highlights the need to strengthen policy dissemination, enhance human resource capacity, and reform management systems through digitalization and a human-centered approach to ensure equitable, efficient, and sustainable health services at Royal Prima Marelan General Hospital.

Abstract

Abstract

The incision is a condition of tissue discontinuity that is commonly encountered with the risk of prolonged healing time, imperfect wound healing, infection, etc. Assessment of the wound healing activity of the incision is the purpose of this research, which includes an examination of wound contraction, the thickness of collagen fibers, and the number of new blood vessels formation. In total, 25 rats will be divided into 5 test groups, each consisting of 5 rats; the control group (cream base treated), standard group (Povidone Iodine), followed by the treated group with 10%, 20%, and 30% pandan leaf extract ointment. The preliminary screening of phytochemical analysisshowed the presence of alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids, tannins, triterpenoids, and steroids and glycosides, with the total content of phenols and flavonoids from the ethanolic extract of Pandan Wangi is 20.95 GAE mg/gram extract, and 23.57 TAE mg/gram extract. Wound contraction examination result showed a significant difference between the treatment groups on day 16 and a sign the pairs of groups after being given the ointment with each concentration (p <0.05), especially in the group with 30% fragrant leaves extract and the standard group. Examination of new blood vessels showed a significant difference (p <0.05), especially with 30% of the leaves extract ointment. There was also a significant difference in collagen density in the group given pandanus ethanol ointment, especially at the 30% pandanus extract content against the group that was only given the ointment base. This research strongly suggests that the fragrant pandan leaf extract ointment is effective in healing incisional wounds and promises the potential for further studies on the pharmacological aspects.

Abstract

Many health workers in the world have been exposed and some have even died from COVID-19, which is currently a global pandemic. This is thought to be influenced by the personal protective equipment used by health workers, the implementation of health protocols carried out by health workers, and the honesty of patients in conveying their complaints, contact, and travel history. This study aims to determine the effect of the supply of personal protective equipment, implementation of health protocols, and patient honesty on the safety of health workers in the emergency department and inpatient rooms at Murni Teguh Hospital. This type of research is quantitative. The research sample was 100 health workers working in the emergency room and the inpatient room at Murni Teguh Hospital. The results of the chi-square test showed that there was a significant relationship between PPE supply (p=0.000), implementation of health protocols (p=0.003), and patient honesty (p=0.000) on the safety of emergency room health workers and inpatient rooms at Murni Teguh Hospital. The most influential variable is the supply of personal protective equipment (Sig.0.000).
