Abstract

This study aims to: (1) assess the performance of Islamic Commercial Banks (BUS) and Sharia Business Units (UUS) within Regional Development Banks (BPD) in Indonesia during 2022–2023 through the lens of the Sharia Maqasid Index (SMI); (2) evaluate their performance from the perspective of Sustainable Finance; and (3) compare the performance of BUS and UUS based on both analytical frameworks. A quantitative-descriptive method was employed, utilizing a document study approach. Data were collected from the annual reports of BUS and UUS at BPDs during the 2022–2023 period and analyzed using SMI indicators and Sustainable Finance principles. A weighted scoring and ranking technique based on Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) was applied to measure performance. The findings reveal that BUS and UUS experienced significant improvement in SMI performance, particularly in the dimensions of education (tahdz?b al-fard) and socio-economic contribution (jalb al-ma?la?ah). Banks such as NTB Syariah and Aceh Syariah excelled in maq??id based financing and zakat distribution, while UUS in Central Java and Nagari demonstrated strength in educational initiatives and social justice. In terms of Sustainable Finance, all banks fulfilled the four key indicators sustainable development, green economy, social responsibility, and separate sustainability reporting. However, most reports remained descriptive and lacked impact-based metrics. Overall, BUS exhibited stronger performance than UUS in integrating both maq??id principles and sustainability practices. These results highlight the need to strengthen performance evaluation frameworks grounded in Sharia values and sustainability to support the transformation of Islamic regional banks into inclusive and impactful institutions.

Abstract

Abstract

Accounting Standards Statement (PSAK) 101 in the preparation of financial reports in Islamic cooperatives, especially Baitul Maal wa Tamwil (BMT). The method used is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the PRISMA 2020 approach. A total of 10 scientific articles published between 2015 and 2025 were analyzed to answer three main research focuses, namely: (1) the level of compliance of Islamic cooperatives with the provisions of PSAK 101, (2) components of financial reports that are not yet in accordance or have not been prepared, and (3) inhibiting and driving factors in the implementation of the standard. The results of the study show that the majority of Islamic cooperatives only prepare balance sheets and profit and loss statements, while other components such as temporary syirkah fund reports, ZIS reports, and trust funds are rarely disclosed. The main obstacles in the implementation of PSAK 101 include low literacy in Islamic accounting, the lack of integration of sharia-based financial information systems, and weak external supervision. However, there are initiatives and internal awareness from cooperative managers to improve the quality of financial reporting

Abstract

The revitalization of traditional markets is one of the government's strategies to enhance the competitiveness of the informal sector amid the growing dominance of modern markets. However, in practice, revitalization does not always generate positive impacts for all market stakeholders. This article examines the social and economic dynamics experienced by traders and consumers at Pasar Akik, Medan, following its revitalization. Using a qualitative approach with observation and in-depth interview techniques, the study found that increased stall rental prices and the reduction in trading space size were the main issues raised by traders. These conditions have led to rising product prices, which in turn have affected consumer behavior and reduced the number of buyers. Although the market now appears cleaner and more organized physically, the revitalization is perceived to have yet to deliver economic justice for small-scale traders. This study recommends the need for policies that integrate physical, social, and economic aspects to ensure that the revitalization process does not create new forms of inequality. These findings are expected to provide input for local governments, market managers, and academics in designing a more inclusive and sustainable model for public market revitalization.

Abstract

Work-Family Conflict (WFC) is an increasingly common phenomenon faced by working women, especially those who have dual roles as professional workers and homemakers. This study aims to identify and analyze the impact of WFC on the performance of working women through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach using the PRISMA guidelines. The results of the study indicate that WFC has an impact on two main domains, namely work-related impacts (job satisfaction, job stress, fatigue, turnover intention, career adaptation, work innovation, and performance), and non-work-related impacts (psychological well-being, depression, mental disorders, family involvement, parenting self-efficacy, and family harmony) The basis of this classification refers to the theories of Work–Family Enrichment and Conflict by Greenhaus, Beutell, and Powell, which state that conflict can disrupt individual performance, both in work-related areas and in areas unrelated to work (work-related and non-work-related impacts). These findings emphasize the importance of organizational policies and family support in helping working women manage their dual roles. This study recommends strengthening structural and social support to create a sustainable work-family balance.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to explore the leadership legacies of Soekarno as the leader of Indonesia and Moses as the leader of Israel in the Bible in order to formulate a leadership model that fits the Indonesian context. State leaders play an important role in making decisions that impact people's lives, but the selection of leaders often triggers conflicts that can disrupt social stability and unity. As a Christian Indonesian citizen, there is an opportunity to combine national and spiritual leadership values that are often seen as conflicting. This research applies a literature study by analyzing information from relevant journals, books, and other sources on the two main variables, namely the leadership of Soekarno and Moses. Using the comparative method, the research found similarities, differences, and potential combinations of the two leadership models. The analysis shows that both Soekarno and Musa had a clear vision, the ability to mobilize the masses, and the courage to face big challenges. The interaction between the two resulted in a leadership model that brings together the values of spirituality and nationalism, which is very relevant for the diverse and religious context of Indonesia. This research concludes that the merging of Soekarno and Musa's leadership values can enrich thinking about contextual leadership that emphasizes justice, democracy, and a balance between spiritual and national aspects. This model is expected to be a relevant legacy for creating strong and inclusive leadership in Indonesia.
