Abstract

Supplier selection in the Public Street Lighting (PJU) pole fabrication industry plays a strategic role in supporting the effectiveness of business processes and requires objective and structured decision-making. However, in practice, supplier selection is often conducted subjectively without adequate consideration of the interrelationships among criteria and supplier-related risks. This study proposes an integrated decision-making model combining the DEMATEL, ANP, and RFMEA methods to address these limitations. The DEMATEL method is employed to identify cause–effect relationships among selection criteria, while the ANP method is used to calculate priority weights by considering interdependencies within the decision network. Furthermore, the RFMEA method is applied to evaluate supplier risks based on Likelihood, Impact, and Detection values, and the resulting Risk Priority Number (RPN) is incorporated into the risk management criterion of the ANP model. The proposed model generates a ranked list of suppliers and provides a systematic, objective, and risk-based framework for supplier selection in the PJU pole fabrication industry.

Abstract

The treatment of inmates with mental health disorders remains a persistent challenge within the Indonesian correctional system. Although Law No. 22 of 2022 on Corrections, Law No. 18 of 2014 on Mental Health, and several implementing regulations recognize prisoners’ rights to healthcare, they fail to provide explicit mechanisms for the identification, treatment, and rehabilitation of inmates with mental health disorders. This study aims to analyze the extent to which existing legal frameworks accommodate the specific needs of inmates with mental health disorders and to identify legal gaps that hinder the effective protection of their rights. Employing a normative juridical research method with statutory, conceptual, and comparative approaches, this study examines relevant legislation and compares Indonesia’s regulatory framework with practices adopted in several other jurisdictions. The findings reveal a significant legal vacuum characterized by the absence of standardized procedures for early identification, inadequate mental health services within correctional institutions, and weak coordination between correctional and health authorities. This condition increases the risk of human rights violations, institutional violence, ineffective rehabilitation, and failed social reintegration. The study concludes that comprehensive legal reform is urgently required to establish clear regulatory standards, strengthen institutional capacity, and integrate a rehabilitation-oriented, health-based approach within the correctional system. Such reforms are essential to ensure the protection of inmates’ rights and to realize a humane and effective correctional framework.

Abstract

The national policy stipulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Number 44 of 2024 on the Profession, Career, and Income of Lecturers, although its implementation has been postponed through the Decree of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Number 63/M/2025, requires higher education institutions to enhance the governance of lecturers’ career management in a more accountable, transparent, and performance-based manner. Universitas Wiralodra Indramayu and Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati Cirebon, as partner private universities in this Community Service Program, still face challenges related to the alignment of internal regulations, operational procedures, and human resource capacity in managing lecturers’ careers. This program aimed to strengthen institutional readiness and improve the understanding of lecturers and academic administrators through institutional mentoring. The methods employed included situation analysis, problem mapping, development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for lecturers’ professional and career services, socialization activities, focus group discussions (FGDs), and implementation assistance. The initial survey results indicated that only approximately 18–30% of lecturers had a good understanding of career-related regulations and mechanisms prior to the program. Following the mentoring activities, an improvement in understanding was observed, as reflected in a higher proportion of lecturers who comprehended functional rank promotion mechanisms, performance assessment based on the tridharma of higher education, and career service procedures in accordance with the established SOPs. In addition to enhancing human resource understanding, this program produced an agreed and implementable SOP for lecturers’ career services and increased the institutional readiness of the partner universities to respond to national policy implementation.   Abstrak Kebijakan Kebijakan nasional melalui Permendikbudristek Nomor 44 Tahun 2024 tentang Profesi, Karir, dan Penghasilan Dosen, meskipun penetapannya ditunda melalui Keputusan Mendiktisainteks Nomor 63/M/2025, menuntut perguruan tinggi untuk meningkatkan kesiapan tata kelola karir dosen yang lebih akuntabel, transparan, dan berbasis kinerja. Universitas Wiralodra Indramayu dan Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati Cirebon sebagai perguruan tinggi swasta mitra dalam kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) masih menghadapi kendala dalam penyelarasan regulasi internal, prosedur operasional, serta kapasitas sumber daya manusia dalam pengelolaan karir dosen. Kegiatan PkM ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kesiapan kelembagaan dan meningkatkan pemahaman dosen serta pengelola melalui pendampingan institusional yang sistematis. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis situasi, penyusunan peta masalah, perumusan Prosedur Operasional Standar (POS) layanan profesi dan karir dosen, sosialisasi, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), serta pendampingan implementasi. Hasil survei awal menunjukkan bahwa hanya sekitar 18–30% dosen memiliki pemahaman yang baik terhadap regulasi dan mekanisme karir dosen sebelum kegiatan. Setelah pendampingan, terjadi peningkatan pemahaman yang ditunjukkan oleh bertambahnya jumlah dosen yang memahami mekanisme kenaikan jabatan fungsional, penilaian kinerja berbasis Tridharma, dan prosedur layanan karir sesuai POS. Selain peningkatan pemahaman sumber daya manusia, kegiatan ini menghasilkan dokumen POS layanan karir dosen yang disepakati dan siap diimplementasikan, serta meningkatkan kesiapan institusional perguruan tinggi mitra dalam menghadapi implementasi kebijakan nasional.

Abstract

Enhancing the competency of scientific writing for educators and future academics has become an urgent necessity in facing global academic challenges. The low number of quality publications and the minimal understanding of international publication standards often hinder academic capacity development. Therefore, this International Collaborative Community Service Program (PPM-KI) aims to equip educators and future academics with scientific writing skills that comply with the standards of reputable national and international journals. Furthermore, this program also encourages cross-country academic collaboration in the production and publication of scientific works, thereby increasing academic recognition and strengthening global scientific networks. Through this program, several targeted outcomes include the publication of articles in ISSN-registered journals or ISBN/ISSN-registered national seminar proceedings, the publication of articles in mass media or online academic platforms, and video documentation of activities uploaded to the LPPM YouTube channel. Additionally, the program also targets the active involvement of students in community service activities and the acquisition of recognition letters from international partners as proof of their enhanced academic capacity. Evidence of collaborative partnership in the form of an Implementation of Arrangement (IA) is also a key outcome, demonstrating the program's success in building international networks. With this program, it is expected that educators and future academics will improve the quality and quantity of their scientific publications, thus contributing to strengthening a more competitive academic ecosystem at the international level. Moreover, the program's success will also support the achievement of key performance indicators for higher education institutions and contribute to academic development based on global collaboration

Abstract

This research focuses on the design and implementation of an Arduino-based mobile robot equipped with an ESP32 camera. The primary goal is to develop a mobile manipulator prototype that can be controlled remotely via a mobile or web application. This project also aims to identify the required electronic components, understand their integration with the ESP32 module, and evaluate the ESP32's advantages over the Arduino Uno. The method used is a development research approach, involving literature review on robotics, Arduino programming, and image processing with the ESP32-CAM and ESP8266. The research stages include system design, component selection, mechanical design, and electronic circuit design. Programming code development is carried out iteratively, starting with basic functions such as motor movement and image capture, to more complex functions such as simple object recognition. Testing of the mobile manipulator prototype demonstrates that the hardware and software developed are functional. The robot is capable of motion control, image transmission from the ESP32-CAM to a smartphone, and the ESP8266 can transport light objects. However, there are several challenges, such as overheating of the ESP32-CAM and ESP8266 modules, as well as potential malfunctions in the SG90 servo motor and DC gearbox motor.

Abstract

Effective and efficient population administration services are a primary requirement in improving the quality of public services. However, the manual queuing system currently used by the Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) of Palangka Raya City often leads to public complaints due to long queues, extended waiting times, and a lack of accessible information regarding service procedures. This community service activity aims to address these issues through the implementation of an Android-based queuing application. The program began with a needs analysis and identification of the partner's problems through field observations and interviews with staff and service users, followed by training on the use of the application for employees at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Palangka Raya. The next phase involved the development and implementation of a digital queuing application that allows citizens to take queue numbers online. The application is designed so that users can digitally obtain their queue numbers, view estimated service times, and receive real-time notifications via their mobile devices. The results of this activity indicate that the digital queuing application significantly accelerates the service process and helps reduce crowding at the service location. Based on the results of an evaluation questionnaire distributed during the community service program, the application received high satisfaction ratings, reflecting its positive impact on digital service delivery.

Abstract

Sebagai negara berkembang, Indonesia masih bergantung terhadap eksploitasi sumber daya alam untuk sumber pendapatan nasional, seperti komoditas tambang Silika di Kabupaten Sukabumi. Untuk mengembalikan fungsi lahan bekas tambang sesuai peruntukannya, maka area bekas tambang wajib dilakukan kegiatan reklamasi. Dinamika ekologi khususnya struktur tegakan terjadi pada area reklamasi dan area reklamasi tersebut harus memenuhi kriteria keberhasilan berdasarkan peraturan perundangan yang berlaku. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memahami dinamika ekologi pada area reklamasi bekas tambang silica dan mengukur tingkat keberhasilan reklamasi sesuai peraturan perundangan. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada area reklamasi tambang silika dengan plot lingkaran jari-jari (r) 17,8 m (0,1 ha) sebanyak 10 plot (±1 ha). Secara umum, rata-rata diameter pohon di areal reklamasi pada semua plot adalah 18,70 cm (aritmatika) dan 18,99 cm (kuadrat). Grafik yang dibentuk dari hubungan jumlah pohon dengan kelas diameter dibagi menjadi tiga bentuk, yaitu J-shape terbalik, kurva sebaran normal yang tidak sempurna dan kurva sebaran normal yang sempurna. Rata-rata tinggi total untuk semua plot adalah 11.87 m untuk aritmatika dan 12.25 m untuk Lorey’s. Hasil sampling dari 10 plot lingkaran (1 ha) didapatkan bahwa area reklamasi tersebut mencapai tingkat keberhasilan 96,40%. Beberapa parameter kriteria keberhasilan yang belum terpenuhi diantaranya adalah jumlah tanaman, penutupan cover crop dan tajuk. Terdapat jenis puspa (Schima wallichii) yang tumbuh alami pada area reklamasi dan dapat ditemukan pada plot 2, 5, 6, 7 dan 8. Untuk meningkat keanekaragaman perlu dilakukan proses pengayaan, yaitu menanam jenis tanaman lainnya.

Abstract

Gambir and green tea hold functional compounds contained in the category of polyphenolic compounds, one component of which is catechins. Catechins have antimicrobial properties because they have the ability to break down microbial cell chambers or precipitate proteins. The microbe Pseudomanas sp is often found in tilapia with a high level of pathogenicity. This research aims to examine the effect of Gambir Catechin and Green Tea concentrations to suppress the growth of Pseudomonas sp tilapia bacteria. The research method applied is tabulation and descriptive method. The concentration of catechin compounds was modified by 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10%. The results showed that the antimicrobial effect developed with an increase in the concentration of catechin compounds for catechin from gambier and green tea. This shows that there is a strong positive relationship between concentration and zone of inhibition and the catechin compounds of gambier and green tea have antimicrobial effects against Pseudomonas sp. The results of this research can be applied to develop tilapia aquaculture in the future.

Abstract

Three-phase induction motors are AC electric motors widely used in both industry and household applications. Over time, these motors experience a decline in performance, including a reduction in torque and efficiency due to the deterioration of material resistance. One of the challenges in measuring the efficiency of induction motors during operation is the difficulty in measuring the motor's output parameters without disconnecting the motor from its load. This study aims to provide an alternative solution for measuring the efficiency of three-phase induction motors while they are in operation in industrial settings. The method used involves calculating the load as a percentage of the motor's rated output capacity, followed by current load estimation using the Line Current Measurement method. A digital power meter, LCD module for data display, and PLC as a control device were employed for monitoring. The study was conducted on a 1.1 kW three-phase induction motor, tested in the Electrical Engineering Laboratory at POLNEP. The results show that the developed measurement device can monitor the motor's parameters and display efficiency in real-time. The accuracy of the device is good within the load range of 65% to 76% of the rated capacity, but decreases at lower load levels. Comparison between the measured values and theoretical calculations indicates a low margin of error at specific load ranges, with the error increasing as the load decreases. The optimal load range for the motor is between 60% and 80% of its rated capacity.

Abstract

This study examines cooperative practices in broiler chicken farming in Geragai District, where the prevalent core–plasma partnership model raises persistent issues of equity, transparency, and risk distribution. The primary objective is to describe the cooperation between plasma farmers and core companies and assess its alignment with Islamic economic principles. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis, and were subjected to thematic analysis with triangulation to ensure validity. Findings indicate that core companies dominate price setting, chick quality, and harvest timing, while plasma farmers bear mortality risk and additional costs, producing an uneven allocation of profits and risks. Contracts are frequently insufficiently detailed or not fully documented in writing, resulting in ambiguous agreements that contravene Islamic commercial ethics. The study contributes theoretically by reaffirming the relevance of the concepts of syirkah and mudharabah in evaluating partnership models, and practically by recommending more equitable, transparent, and Sharia-compliant contracts. It also highlights implications for future research and the need to strengthen Sharia legal literacy among plasma farmers.
