Abstract

The practice of female genital cutting and injury (P2GP) without medical justification constitutes a violation of human rights and poses a high risk to women's physical and psychological health. Therefore, legal protection is necessary to regulate female genital mutilation (FGM) without medical indications. This study aims to analyze the legal protection for women against the harmful practice of P2GP and to identify challenges in policy implementation. The research methodology adopts a normative approach by analyzing legislation, international human rights instruments, and case studies from several countries that have implemented strict policies against P2GP. Additionally, this study is integrated with an empirical approach through interviews and surveys with affected women and relevant stakeholders. The findings indicate that although various legal instruments are in place, the effectiveness of legal protection still faces obstacles, such as weak law enforcement, cultural factors, and a lack of public awareness. Some countries have imposed strict sanctions on P2GP perpetrators; however, the success of implementation largely depends on social and political support. The study concludes that stronger legal reforms are necessary by clarifying and tightening regulations that prohibit female genital mutilation (FGM) without medical indications, including imposing stricter sanctions on perpetrators and involved parties. Furthermore, increased public education through awareness campaigns highlighting the negative impacts of P2GP on health and human rights is essential to eliminating the practice. The limitations of this study include restricted empirical data from certain regions that are difficult to access due to cultural barriers or limited data availability. The practical implications of this research include policy recommendations to strengthen regulation and law enforcement, while its social implications highlight the need for a paradigm shift in society regarding this deeply rooted practice.

Abstract

Agriculture is a sector characterized by uncertainty and high risk. One of the government policies aimed at mitigating this risk is the farm insurance program. Karangsari Village in Kembaran is one of the areas that actively implements this program. However, participation in farm insurance in Karangsari Village is not optimal. This study aims to analyze the influence of age, education, farmers' activeness in groups, farming experience, land area, and land ownership status on participation in farm insurance. These characteristics are considered distinguishing variables that are thought to affect farmer participation. The samples for this study were determined using Taro Yamane. The analysis method employed is logistic regression to assess how age, education, farmers' activeness in groups, farming experience, land area, and land ownership status impact participation in farm insurance. The results showed that age, education, and farming experience did not have a significant effect on farmers' participation in farm insurance, while farmers' activeness in groups, land area, and land ownership status did have a significant effect. In this context, farmers with potential agricultural assets are more likely to participate in farm insurance.

Abstract

Some people in Tete Batu Selatan Village, especially Otak Bangket Hamlet, have creative handmade products that have difficulty in packaging and marketing. Even though the village government has provided sufficient support such as MSME training and product outreach to visitors, these two things have not been able to increase visitors' purchasing power and of course the local community's income. This community service aims to assist the community to package and market their products with modern packaging and digital-based marketing. The implication of this assistance is that, little by little, people are starting to realize the importance of attractive packaging and the use of social media as a place to market their products. So, with this packaging and marketing strategy, many visitors are interested in buying their creative products from low to high prices.

Abstract

This study examines how culture can play an active role in efforts to moderate religion, namely through piil pesenggiri which is one of the local cultures of the Lampung community. This role is then analyzed based on the perspective of the Qur'an through the Tafsir Al-Misbah by an Indonesian mufassir, Quraish Shihab. This is done considering the importance of integrating cultural values ​​in social and religious contexts. The purpose of this study is to explore and analyze how local cultural values ​​can be internalized in the practice of religious moderation. The method used is the Mix Method which combines two types of research, namely field research and library research, descriptions of interview results as field data and results from library research. The main findings show that the Lampung community has a good understanding of the urgency of religious moderation. However, the implementation of these moderation values ​​at the practical level still requires further strengthening. This study also identifies that local cultural values ​​have great potential in supporting religious moderation in society. In addition, this study provides insight into the dynamic relationship between culture and religion, and recommends a number of practical recommendations that can be used as a basis for policies that support harmonization between the two.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Karakter dari persalinan normal adalah nyeri uterus dan kontraksi yang disebut dengan nyeri persalinan yang dapat mengakibatkan ibu menjadi stress. Terlihat ibu bersalin yang datang ke rumah sakit, yaitu 6 dari 10 ibu yang mengalami nyeri persalinan memiliki intensitas nyeri diatas 6 yang dinilai dengan NRS atau (Numeric Ratting Scale). Dalam mengatasi nyeri persalinan dapat melakukan 2 cara yaitu farmakologi dan non farmakologi. Salah satu cara non farmakologi adalah tekhnik deep breathing. Tujuan: Menganalisis pengaruh teknik deep breathing pada ibu bersalin terhadap tingkat nyeri persalinan kala I di RSUD Pangeran Jaya Sumitra Kotabaru. Metode: Metode quasi eksperimental dengan jenis rancangan one group pre test – posttest. Tekhnik pengambilan sampling yang digunakan yaitu accidental sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 10 orang ibu bersalin di RSUD Pangeran Jaya Sumitra Kotabaru. Hasil: Mayoritas nyeri persalinan sebelum diberikan deep breathing adalah nyeri sedang yaitu sebanyak 5 orang (50%), setelah diberikan deep breathing, didapatkan bahwa 70% responden hanya mengalami nyeri ringan tanpa ada yang mengalami nyeri berat, dan ada pengaruh tekhnik deep breathing pada ibu bersalin terhadap tingkat nyeri persalinan kala I di RSUD Pangeran Jaya Sumitra Kotabaru. (sig = 0,004<0,05). Simpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian mengenai pengaruh tekhnik deep breathing pada ibu bersalin terhadap tingkat nyeri persalinan kala I di RSUD Pangeran Jaya Sumitra Kotabaru, didapatkan ada pengaruh tekhnik deep breathing pada ibu bersalin terhadap tingkat nyeri persalinan kala I di RSUD Pangeran Jaya Sumitra Kotabaru. (sig = 0,004<0,05).

Abstract

The development of technology has a significant impact on various aspects of life, including in the field of education to the lowest level of education, namely early childhood education. It is important for teachers to develop the right strategy in the use of digital media in early childhood. Through strategies that have been prepared by the teacher, children can get how to use digital media well. This study aims to determine the teacher's strategy in introducing digital media to group A children at Insan Mulia IT Kindergarten, Wonosobo Regency. In this study, the author uses qualitative research methodology with data obtained from interviews and some documentation from TK IT Insan Mulia, Wonosobo Regency. Based on the research that has been done, the results of the study show that in carrying out learning teachers have planned lessons that have been compiled in RPPH. Teachers introduce digital media to the topic of learning communication tools, but in the use of almost all learning topics using digital media. Digital media used are digital devices that are around children such as laptops, PCs, mobile phones and projectors. In the implementation of learning using digital media is also carried out to teach digital literacy to children, besides that teachers also involve parents. This form of assessment in learning states that there is no specific assessment but assessment is included in the use of digital media to support learning. There are supporting factors including adequate infrastructure, teacher competence, and support from parents. Of course, there are obstacles in the implementation of learning, namely different backgrounds of children.

Abstract

Dalam merumuskan peranan dan fungsi Islam yang sepenuhnya terhadap orientasi hukum Hukum Islam memiliki peranan penting dalam mengatasi masalah sosial kontemporer, Sebagai pedoman hidup umat Islam, hukum ini memberikan panduan yang sesuai untuk menyelesaikan berbagai isu sosial yang muncul dalam masyarakat modern. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali kontribusi hukum Islam dalam memberikan solusi terhadap tantangan sosial yang dihadapi masyarakat modern. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi pustaka, yang menganalisis sumber-sumber hukum Islam seperti Al-Qur'an, Hadis, dan hasil ijtihad ulama, serta penerapannya dalam berbagai isu sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hukum Islam, dengan prinsip-prinsip dasar seperti keadilan, kemaslahatan umum, dan penghindaran kerusakan, memiliki potensi besar untuk menyelesaikan masalah sosial melalui instrumen seperti zakat, infak, dan sedekah. Namun, tantangan dalam penerapan hukum Islam muncul karena perbedaan penafsiran teks agama dan perbedaan antara hukum Islam dan sistem hukum di negara-negara multikultural.

Abstract

Background The School Literacy Movement (SLM) has gained increasing attention as a strategic initiative to improve students’ literacy skills across various educational levels. This movement responds to global and national concerns about declining reading habits, comprehension skills, and critical thinking among students. Various studies have explored its implementation, challenges, and outcomes; however, a comprehensive synthesis of existing literature is needed to map the current state of research and identify gaps. Purpose This study aims to systematically review and synthesize research findings related to the School Literacy Movement, focusing on its objectives, implementation strategies, outcomes, and the challenges encountered. Design/method/approach This research adopts a systematic literature review (SLR) with databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC, and Google Scholar were searched for peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2024. Results The review identified a total of 42 relevant studies. Findings show that the SLM has been implemented with varying degrees of success depending on contextual factors such as school leadership, teacher training, student engagement, and availability of resources. Most studies reported improvements in reading interest and comprehension; however, several highlighted issues with sustainability, monitoring, and evaluation. Contribution/value This review provides valuable insights for educators, policymakers, and researchers by offering a synthesized overview of what has been done and what remains to be addressed in the field of school-based literacy initiatives. It underscores the need for more longitudinal studies and context-specific strategies to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of literacy movements in schools.

Abstract

Stunting adalah masalah kesehatan yang serius di seluruh dunia, terutama di negara negara berkembang. Salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi stunting adalah pola makan yang tidak sehat dan tidak memadai. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sistem pendukung keputusan (SPK) yang dapat membantu pemilihan jenis makanan yang tepat bagi penderita stunting guna meningkatkan asupan gizi mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah SPK yang menggunakan metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) dalam memilih jenis makanan bagi penderita stunting. Metode SAW digunakan untuk memberikan bobot pada setiap kriteria yang relevan dalam pemilihan jenis makanan, seperti kandungan nutrisi, ketersediaan, dan biaya. Pertama, data kriteria yang relevan dikumpulkan melalui studi literatur dan wawancara dengan ahli gizi. Kemudian, bobot relatif untuk setiap kriteria ditentukan melalui analisis pairwise comparison. Setelah itu, data tentang jenis makanan yang tersedia dan data penderita stunting dikumpulkan untuk digunakan dalam SPK. SPK akan memproses data yang ada dan memberikan rekomendasi jenis makanan yang paling sesuai bagi penderita stunting. Rekomendasi tersebut didasarkan pada perhitungan nilai preferensi menggunakan metode SAW. Jenis makanan dengan nilai preferensi tertinggi akan dianggap sebagai rekomendasi terbaik bagi penderita stunting. Diharapkan bahwa SPK ini dapat menjadi alat yang berguna bagi ahli gizi dalam menentukan jenis makanan yang sesuai. Dengan memperbaiki pola makan mereka, diharapkan penderita stunting dapat meningkatkan asupan gizi dan mengatasi masalah stunting secara efektif. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi dasar untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut tentang SPK dalam bidang pemilihan makanan untuk kondisi kesehatan tertentu.

Abstract

This study discusses the relationship between students' learning styles and teaching strategies applied by teachers in mathematics learning for sixth grade students at Krebet Elementary School. There are three different learning styles, namely visual, auditory and kinesthetic, which affect students' understanding and interest in mathematics learning. To accommodate this diversity, teachers use active learning strategies, involve teaching aids, implement peer tutors, and create a supportive learning environment. This research method uses qualitative techniques through observation and interviews. The results of this study indicate that using strategies that are adjusted to each student's learning style can improve student achievement and learning outcomes. The use of visual media is beneficial for students with visual learning styles, discussions are effective for auditory students, while direct activities are suitable for kinesthetic students. In addition, the involvement of peer tutors has been shown to help clarify students' understanding of the material. Learning mathematics in this context not only requires intellectual improvement and skills to solve problems, but also shapes students' personalities. The materials studied include numbers, geometry, measurement, and data processing. Overall, this study concludes that understanding students' learning styles combined with appropriate teaching strategies can create an effective and enjoyable learning process, and significantly improve students' mathematics learning outcomes.
